Liberals Still Asking, "What Happened"? Pastor Marlin Reid Answers.

After listening to the pundits give their spin on why Hillary Clinton and the Democrats lost the 2016 Presidential election I was enamored with a recent Facebook assessment by my friend and fellow pastor from Detroit, Pastor Marlin Reid of New Wine Glory ~ The River Church.

Unlike pundits who contend that the election was a "whitelash" which is the DUMBEST assessment of a serious issue I've ever heard, or that it was the POOR AND UNEDUCATED WHITE-TRASH and racists (which are additional dumbfounded assessments) that put Trump in, Pastor Reid breaks it down giving a TRUE assessment of the real issues that voters across our nation felt as they visited the polls during the recent Presidential election.

In short, the Liberal strategy to rely upon the courts and a sidestep of the will of the people and eject objective moral values, in particularly Christian values upon which our society has long had a history and foundation, failed. At this point, I'll simply allow Pastor Reid to speak because I believe he says it much better and more concisely than I can:

"Everybody is asking What happened! How did this happen!
Simple, the LBGTQ & the Liberal Left overplayed their hand.
They shouted and danced when the Federal Gov. overruled The will of the people and ratified same sex marriage 
Then they praised Bruce Jenner and the mutilation of his body to look like a woman - they even made him woman of the year ! (what a insult to women everywhere)
Then they pushed genderless Bathrooms and it failed to pass.
They tried to pressure a whole state to bend by threatening to pull the All star game and millions of dollars from them.
They constantly push images of weak men and powerful women beating up men & dominating them in all almost every TV show.
They pushed homosexuals in all media as the best & brightest.
They pushed images in the media of Christians as stupid, hypocrites or delusional fools & the church as being a joke.
They tried to brainwash America into the nonsense of political correctness and turn the country Into a bunch of nice talking 2 faced liars.
And America set Back and let them entertain & talk all their liberal junk on every venue of media -music,movies, talk shows (like the View) etc..
Their supposedly "smarter than us" entertainers tried to tell us how to think and what to believe.
They told us we were not a Christian nation any more.. never was
They put everybody else ahead of Americans
They thought America bought into it all!! hook,line & sinker
They thought America was finally ready to be totally sodomized and shifted to their new world order consciousness.
But when it came time to vote!!
The American people said enough .. ! no more !
We Will not give you the power to control the Supreme Court or seats in congress to rewrite the moral compass of this nation.

It's quite simple ..they are totally out of touch with the heart of the common person in this country and they overplayed their hand.

President Obama, This One's On YOU!

In Sept. 2014, President Obama, VP Joe Biden and others, moved to call the nation to action and greater accountability and to "protect" women on college campuses all across America through the new "It's On Us" initiative to address incidents of rape, sexual abuse and violence against women which continues to occur at many of our institutions of higher learning. At one point the President uttered these words:
"It is on all of us to reject the quiet tolerance of sexual assault and to refuse to accept what’s unacceptable."~ President Barack Obama 9/2014
What a difference less than 2 years makes...

Initiated by advocates of the gay lobby, with the Office Of The President as its champion, and relative human morality as its spongy backbone, Congress is now circulating HR 3185 known as the "Equality Act" which will amend the 1964 Civil Rights Legislation in the following manner: 
"{The Act} Amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity among the prohibited categories of discrimination or segregation in places of public accommodation." 
New Civil Rights Based On Feelings & Emotives:

Gender Identity ~ The new civil right!

Please pay careful attention:

Under the proposed amendment, the term "sexual orientation" is defined as "homosexuality, heterosexuality, or bisexuality;"

In addition, the term "gender identity" is defined as "gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or characteristics, regardless of the individual's designated sex at birth"

So what we have here is The Civil Rights Act on 1964, which served to lawfully liberate Black men and women, who historically endured the moral evil of chattel slavery, liberating them from the oppression of unequal treatment and access based on race, which is an unchangeable and undeniable characteristic of every individual on earth, [which cannot be hidden under most normal circumstances] to now be amended to include an individual's sexual proclivities, or how someone has sex, loves and or presents themselves by appearance to the world with NO CONSIDERATION for their gender or genetics at birth. eg: The new proposed, amended civil right is based on how a person "feels" about who they are in an intangible sense, regardless of who they are in an empirically verifiable or genetic sense.  

At one time, I remember that this President claimed to be the President of "science", or one who was not willing to live in a world that denied empirical evidence. In fact this is his mantra when it comes to global warming and climate change. However, in the case of gender and gender relations, neither our scientific President, nor his administration is willing to accept even the most basic science that a man, born a man, (same for a woman) is born that way because of chromosomal and genetic makeup and usually has a physical identity which cannot be denied. I find that very interesting that our President can be so dedicated to science when it comes to weather and weather patterns, but so deliberately blind when it comes to genetics and physical evidence...

Back to the issue:

The Bathroom & Locker Room:

Read the LETTER that was sent to School Districts across the country

Last Friday, May 13th, 2016 along with the above referenced letter, President Obama directed the Dept. Of Education to issue "guidelines" or what were called "Emerging Practices" as to how to keep transsexuals (genetically born men or women, who choose to live as the opposite sex) from being discriminated against during the process of public education. This "encouragement" stems from recent demands from the Administration to force college administrators into allowing transgender men access to female bathrooms and locker rooms under the threat of loosing federal aid and monetary assistance by claiming that failing to deny transsexuals access to the bathrooms and locker rooms of their choice is a violation of Title IX and therefore would be discrimination under the law.  

For those who don't know, Title IX was implemented to improve opportunities for women in higher education sports activities by mandating equality in access and opportunity on college campuses. This allowed women to flourish with as much support in their chosen activity and sport as men. Part of Title IX demanded, as a natural outgrowth of the Act, that women would be protected by having access to a bathroom and locker room facilities similar to men, but designed exclusively for women. 

That idea was safe. It made sense, and protected our daughters, sisters and mothers on college campus...

Now, the Obama Administration is attempting to bully the same college campuses and institutions of public education, that he claimed that he wanted to "PROTECT", into allowing men, BORN BY GENDER, into women's restrooms and locker rooms, not only on campus, but all over the United States. In these instances, all a MAN has to do is "FEEL LIKE" he is a woman, or feel that he "identifies" as a woman. There is NO PROOF or STANDARD by which a MAN, any man, can be denied access to a woman's restroom or ladies locker room. In other words, the Obama Administration would be reversing any and all protections that Title IX afforded women under the Act. It would be a total reversion of any policy designed to make women safe and protected either on college campus or in a public setting. 

In this video, you will hear women, and a transsexual standing to affirm that what the Obama Administration is attempting to do is not what the country needs, is not and should not be a civil right and will do just the thing that none of us want, place our Daughters, Mothers and Sister in danger.


This is serious food for thought for anyone in a position to endorse transsexual rights or any rights that would allow men into woman's restrooms or vice-versa. We claim that it is immoral and unconscionable to even consider such acceptance.

Letter To The President. Archie Bunker Would Love This...

Archie, you're still a racist.
"Why, Thank youze very much!"
Religious organizations serve the community and public because of their faith. They are emulated all over the world and one would have to bury their head in the sand to deny the influence of faith on community service in general. This is in part why arguments to remove religion from public life are so unsuccessful. there is no other philosophy of life powerful enough to cause persons to walk out their faith or "belief" on such a consistent basis. 

However, when organizations are asked to be or do something that they are not, or to even violate their faith in order to qualify for the dollars essential to doing the tasks that they are called upon to do, there is a problem. In recent times we have seen that problem come to shape by and through the promotion of the homosexual agenda championed by President Obama and his administration. 

Recently, the President stated that he was doing all that he could do to make sure that the LGBT community would not be discriminated against in employment and hiring practices, especially by companies which receive or compete for federal tax dollar funding. 

Herein is a letter from several nationally recognized leaders, not calling on the President to stop claiming that they are somehow discriminating, but to ask him to make an exception for them, under his new plans and direction.  

As I see it, the PROBLEM still exists that these leaders are allowing this President to get away with the idea that religions are 'discriminating" by not hiring gays. In all the words, there is not one mention that WE DO NOT HOLD THAT WE ARE DISCRIMINATING IN ANY WAY...but there is acknowledgement that we should remain "respectful" and "diverse" even in disagreement...

So, get this, here we have organizations asking for an exemption but not a clarification of what discrimination is and why they are not discriminating by not hiring homosexuals as a part of their core work...This document, as noble as it may be for those who receive federal dollars to do ministry, DOES NOT hit the target of the problem, nor does it challenge this administration to REVERSE harmful stereotypes and caricatures of the religious community which has served and continues to serve both gay and straight men, and women in the communities in which these organizations exist. 

Last I knew, Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake of the COGIC was on the 25 member board of "Faith Based & Community Partnerships" council. Hopefully he will speak up and influence the President in this. 

As for me, don't characterize ME as one who discriminates because I do not hire a gay person to work in my religious work. I don't accept that I discriminate and need an "exception". The fact is that I also do not hire anyone who lives in known immorality. Why should we be made to treat the SIN of homosexuality any differently than other sins? 

I hope some can see through the smoke and see what is really happening with this one...Blessed!

I'm Baaack!

Are you still saying "Happy New Year" to some members of your church? 

Well, I know the readers of this blog have been wondering where I have been and what has been going on...So Happy New year to you too! 


I have taken on some new duties, responsibilities and the schedule has been heated up...I decided with all that is happening to take somewhat of a break from writing, but Oooooohhhhh my...don't think for a second that I have not been busy examining the changes within out community and nation with plenty of insight from the Lord on what is happening both in the church and within society...There is plenty to fight, advocate and stand up for and God and his people are certainly on the move. 


So Much To Pray For...So Little Time

Since my last post in Nov. of 2013, much has happened...We have probably had the most extensive winter than we've seen in years, and in some cases American history...Our poor folk in Atlanta can't function with a couple of inches of snow on the ground and would probably go off the map if 4 to 6 inches of snow fell...Current expectation is that an inch of ice will continue to paralyze the South. We are certainly praying for all them that were injured and for the families of those who lost their lives in the most recent storm and for the safety of them that are preparing for another round of winter. 

I know that there is a great deal of upheaval in the world. We have a civil war in Syria, the advancement of the Palestinians who have never had a nation or been a people, and all kinds of international uprisings and such the like. 

Then, there is the advancement of the homosexual agenda in America both through the courts and by this President and the Democratic Party in general...
Is there ANY REASON that a believer in Christ should vote democratic in the next Presidential election? 
I can't think of ONE THING that the Democrats have done and stand for that represent my interest or the interests of most Americans that I know....I actually can't think of anything that the democrats believe in that attracts me as a Black man with a family and the head of my household. Not ONE! Certainly the Republicans aren't exempt or just get a pass either...They have done and are doing their fair share of damage too...Well maybe that's just me....

Isn't it special that the only way that the homosexual agenda can advance is through the courts and by weak legislatures who overlook the will of the people? We all understand that the "will of the people" can be wrong and that "might" does not necessarily make right. People, through their "might" can choose a path that disenfranchises groups of people. I dare say that slavery is one of those kind of things. Noone understands this sort of sentiment better than those who have studied and lived through the Civil Rights era. However, what we are talking about is normalizing and ultimately endorsing "behavior" as opposed to inherently obvious diversities that cannot be worn off or changed through behavioral modification or by any other method. 

Look at it this way, Black cannot be "silenced" nor suppressed and it is obvious for many to see who is Black and who is White...How a person has sex or who a person loves, cannot be known until a person acts upon their feelings or inclinations. This is a vast and marked difference which makes all the difference in the world. This is forever why the fight for sexual acceptance will never been in the same league as the fight for racial parity and acceptance. 

Back to politics...Look at it, in almost every situation where gay normalization has been before the PEOPLE either by referendum or some other public vote, (not the sick legislatures who violate the will of the people whom they have been elected, commissioned and charged to represent,) gay normalization has been rejected. Yet, legislators continue to pass laws in favor of the homosexual agenda, for fear of being demonized and shamed publicly. In most cases, the demonization doesn't come from their elected base...it comes from organizations that claim to stand for "human rights" such as the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Lambda Legal and such like who, from a distance, seeks to shame those who don't hold their values. 

Standing for something, may cost popularity, but this is America and taking and making a stand is a courageous thing to do and something that should be done at all costs when that stand is for truth and righteousness. 

What of Sochi?

This whole attempt to "shame" can be felt around the world. I believe that if we look close enough we will find that HOMOSEXUAL advocates proliferated the lie that Sochi would be the worst and most dangerous Winter Olympics filled with terrorism...I am not so enamoured that I look beyond the atrocities of Russian Communism, however, separated from that, I believe that homosexual advocates deliberately tried to instill fear and even sabotage the games in general. Why? Because Russia (as I said, criticize the Communists all you want) had enough NERVE to stand and condemn homosexuality as a lifestyle and as a human right in their country.... For that I say KUDOS RUSSIA!....As former KGB leader President Putin expressed, no one is trying to lock anyone out, no matter their sexual preference or practice, but the proclivity of a person doesn't change society and neither will it change their laws. Do what you do out of the public eye. I believe that after years of decline, Russia understands that whatever society is allowed to practice, so is society and so goes society. Although I can't say that the Church has had any influence on the governmental position on the issue, I do know that the Russian Christian church has been on an upswing. I can only pray that that upswing works according to God's word and brings liberation and peace to millions. 

It seems as if no one was intimidated by America insulting the Russian's by sending Billie Jean Lesbian King as an American representative to a country that doesn't allow the open practice of homosexuality. This was a shameful and disrespectful act and only shows a lack of character that has seemed to embrace this country's elected leadership....Like they said on Fat Albert, the President's actions were like, school on Sunday...NO CLASS! This is and will continue to be an important issue I'm sure.  

What Of Religion In America?

The religious front is filled with all sorts of action over the last few months. From folk eating grass "in the name of the lord" (their lord- NOTHING to do with the true and living God) to all sorts of new debates over the compatibility of religion and science one can expect that nothing has slowed down in this so called "scientific age of enlightenment"....

This debate is even commonplace on America's most watched TV shows. While watching a recent Cop show, a character stated an atheist theme song that "faith is believing in what is irrational while claiming rationality" I couldn't believe my ears at first. I said, wait a minute...faith has nothing to do with irrational belief...(except for in the mind of a caveman). A simple proof of that is that we BELIEVE that folk have minds and can and will change or act or follow and outlined path of behavior that is set before them...we BELIEVE that prisons will cause criminals to reconsider therefore curbing crime, we BELIEVE that our friends will come to our rescue when we are really in need. Are any of those "beliefs" all of which remain to be proven, irrational? Simply put, faith has nothing to do with irrationality. Rather, rank and ultra skepticism displays itself to be irrational. Having or needing a proof for what already is, IS an irrational approach to nearly anything and everything. 

Example, do we need a proof as to why a car engine starts when it is built properly? Then further, do we hold that because we can explain how the engine works, that it has not been built? To come to an understanding of how something functions, and then to believe that because we understand it, that there are no higher principles at work, is an irrational position and presumption. These sort of things are irrational belief systems in action, and sentiments of this sort exist among many of the modern atheists and God haters...Yes, they claim they don't hate God, because they "claim" he doesn't exist, but we KNOW the truth... They are HATERS! Sins have blinded their eyes and filled their hearts with hatred against the one that gives them both breath and life to display their hatred...So sad...so true!

Then What Of The Church?

Now, to be fair, there is still plenty of self inflicted damage that the church has done and is doing to itself...For example, my goodness...My church, the grand ole COGIC has yet failed to adequately deal with the healing of victims of sexual abuse. Although we are setting new procedures in order to collect money and secure the fees of credential holders, we have YET to produce a national plan or program that address the pain that victims have suffered as a result of the sins and perversion of some of those who have been entrusted to leadership. Here is the outline of my plan that I will continue to push as long as the Lord gives me strength to do so. 

The Catholic church continues to experience the revelation of cover-up after cover-up...as much as they would like to "pretend" and see the world at "peace" I guess even the Seagulls and Crows know as long as
they ordain priests and leaders with suppressed gay and pedophile feelings, that there can be no peace....

Now, by revelations that are confounding congregations all across America, Bishops and Pastors yet continue to come up with "lust children"...They are those children born out of wedlock and due to adulterous affairs of these leaders years ago. Now, these children are suddenly suddenly showing up, demanding rights and attention....Oooh Yes, I am sick of it too, but don't be fooled, and don;t get it twisted. The women who in many of these cases, think that they are on a "righteous mission" by exposing these men, and even in some cases, used sex as a way to make money and a source of income from preachers and weak leaders, are just as bad as the preachers who fell into their arms...Don't think for a minute that a person "exposing" these bishops and leaders deserves any kind of pat on the back...Some of them were whores laying with whore-mongers. They get no reward for exposing the preachers, and as they do they expose themselves too! More on that in another writing....

So yes, much has happened and much more will happen. Glad to be back and for all the haters and debaters, there will be much more in this coming year to hate and debate over, but in the end...JESUS and them that follow HIM...WIN!

We support our AMERICAN rights as American Citizens to eat at whatever restaurant we want even if the owners don't support your favorite sins. 

As Black folk, we ate at restaurants when we weren't allowed based on the color of our skin. Neither you nor your predecessors barred any of those "good ole boys" from making money and even expanding their business. 
Unlike you however, we support and encourage sound and biblically centered moral values, especially those which have brought society this far. 
So I guess Americans DO have a RIGHT to their own choices. I suppose it's called FREEDOM? Do you remember what that is?

Savage...It Only Gets Worse...Then There's You!

At a recent high school journalism convention no less, Daniel "Mr. Tolerance", and self proclaimed "Faggot" Savage, took the opportunity, along with tax payer dollars, to terrorize and indoctrinate youth on his thoughts regarding closely held religious beliefs, not only twisting scriptures totally out of context and providing plenty of false biblical interpretations, but also calling biblical admonitions against homosexuality "bull-s***t" that should be ignored. Remember this is the President's national anti-bullying adviser.

THANK GOD for all the BOLD & BRIGHT STUDENTS that walked out on his utter PROFANE GARBAGE!!! Let the crap be relegated to the SEWER where it belongs!!!



If he had gone to someone who actually studied the bible for it's real message, instead of those who promote  propaganda to justify their sins, (aka: Sam Harris or any of the modern irrational atheists and such like) he would have known that the bible does not endorse slavery, especially the chattel slavery that his forefathers more than likely practiced within the United States. Conveniently he fails to mention is that "Origin Of The Species, By Means of Natural Selection or The Preservation of Favored Races In The Struggle For Life" is the materialist myth chalk full of racist and sexist assertions all in the name of science. 

What's equally as important, is this how tax payer education dollars are being spent? If a Christian took the time to waylay the Quran, there would have been outrage. If a Christian or other person of faith pronounced and explained biblical admonitions against homosexuality, there would be a stark condemnation, but where is the condemnation against this?

Let's see, 

When it's against the bible and religion in general, it's called Freedom of speech

When it supports the bible against modern immorality including that of homosexuality, it's called religious bigotry??? 

OK, now we see what the definition of tolerance really is for those claiming a more peaceful, humanitarian and intellectually fulfilling path of modern moral relativism. 

The fact is that we certainly can see the light...the question is can Savage see the anything but himself and his own ignorance???

Ministry Leader Calls On COGIC Leadership To Withdraw UDHR Endorsement

The Church should NEVER partner with demons to do the work of the Lord. Bishop Blake caused great harm to come to the church by the partnership. Bishop Mason brought us out from among them and Bishop Blake is taking us back in." ~ Elder D.L. Foster

In 2008 The Presiding Bishop of The Church Of God In Christ, Bishop Charles E. Blake, vicariously ascribed over 12,000 member churches to the endorsement of the United Nations document called The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights. As I have stated in previous posts, that endorsement seemed to be church leadership's way of joining with the "human rights" movement that is seemingly sweeping the nation and the world under the guise of making the world a better and more humane place to live and ultimately relieving oppression where oppression exists. There is nothing wrong with wanting relief from oppression, but please read on, because there are quite a few things wrong with this.

There were a number of problems with the Bishop's endorsement of this document, not to mention that it (the endorsement) was both presented and approved retroactively by the general church and that was done under the auspences that the church needed to galvanize because it was under an internet attack primarily promoted by Elder D. L. Foster and GCMWatch.com. 

The real problem however, was that the same document endorsed by a Pentecostal/Holiness leader was being used to promote homosexual rights and most specifically the proposed right of homosexual marital recognition. A Church Of God In Christ endorsement of this document brought the church to quite an uncomfortable if not flat out contradictory position of endorsing something publicaly that it also holds a specific and public position against. 

Now, in 2011, without a doubt, and with the approval of the majority member nations, the United Nations considers that document (the UDHR) to be a firm standard exalting the struggle for homosexual marriage to the level of a "human right" that member nations and ascribees are compelled to rally around and in favor of if they truly endorse the document.   

The Warning & The Excuse

This conundrum that the church now faces did not go without ample and thorough warning. Upon hearing the news of Bishop Blake's endorsement, vicariously aligning all member churches, including my own, with this decision, there was a campaign to warn him and the church against what has proven to be a very bad decision.  Elder D. L. Foster led the charge calling to question the moves taken by Bishop Blake. Those posts can be found HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE

Let's reexamine some of the reasons that were given to overlook the warnings that were raised regarding this document and its use to promote the homosexual agenda (from my previous post "Are 'Human Rights', Gay Rights?"):  

The Apologists

When explaining his involvement in the 2008 trip delivering Bishop Blake's endorsement, Dr. David Hall responded partially as follows:
Dr. David A Hall ~ Presiding Bishop’s Emmissary to the Editor/Publisher of Whole Truth Magazine CEO of COGIC Publishing House 
"The Hague group had no other agenda than the signing of a declaration that would speak to religious organizations and inspire them to decisively eliminate those fanatical influences over their practitioners. Religion must never be used as a source for intolerance, hatred, and terror."..." The writer (Referring To GCMWatch) erroneously said the human rights document was about gay rights and gay marriage. Read the document for yourself! There is not one line explicitly or implicitly mentioning gay marriage or gay rights. gay rights." pg. 15 
"With God as my witness, not one person spoke about homosexuality and its issues. In fact to my knowledge I never saw one item with a homosexual emphasis." pg. 16

Now we know that the document did not need to specifically mention homosexual marriage to inspire and support homosexual marriage. We also know now that the document will be used from this point forward as a support in the struggle for homosexual marriage and the establishment of laws all over the world to affirm homosexual marriage.

"Bishop Blake’s endorsement of “the Faith in Human Rights” statement is not an endorsement of gay marriage, absolutely not! The “Faith in Human Rights” document does not refer to gay marriage or gay rights at all, implicitly or explicitly. It does not imply an affirmation of gay marriage, not at all. The “Faith in Human Rights” document was developed to bring world religious leaders together to affirm the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights which was written 60 years ago." -pg.17
"In 1948, gay marriage was not part of the conversation; on the contrary, this was the time of the affirmation of the traditional, nuclear family in America." -pg. 17
"Furthermore, the document that Bishop Blake is a signatory to is the “Faith in Human Rights” document. Neither does the “Faith in Human Rights” document refer to or affirm gay marriage." -pg. 18
In 2011 gay marriage IS part of the conversation of what constitutes a human right. In 2008 the Document was being used by all parties to conclude that gay marriage was a human rights issue. Reading the words of the document caused these men to misread what the document was saying and what the document meant and they did so in an evangelistic manner, only their evangelism wasn't for truth but for the lie of humanism.

In signing the Faith in Human Rights declaration we in no way enter a religious union with any religion or spiritual teaching which is contrary to biblical standards. We nevertheless believe that in the proper context interfaith dialogue that can promote justice and freedom for the oppressed and poor is important for us as Christians who are called to live in the world, even as we are not of the world. (Matt 25:31-46)." pg. 19
"Therefore for the Christian homosexual marriage is not a human right, nor a morally and legally sanctioned entitlement. Sexual preferences do not constitute rights...pg. 20
"The Church of God in Christ supports human rights: all humans, as God’s creation, are entitled to adequate education and healthcare, a living wage, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, democracy, life, liberty, freedom from slavery, security, right to own property, the right to vote….But gay marriage is not a human right; it is a preference. Sexual orientation is specifically not mentioned in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights regarding marriage and family."-Pg. 20

By endorsing the statement we affirmed what the Civil Rights Movement affirmed, what America affirms, and what the gospel of Jesus Christ affirms: life and liberty, healthcare and education, a living wage and freedom of speech." pg. 21
Although homosexual marriage may not be a human right for the "Christian" it is now a human right according to the UDHR and all statements attached to it. Once again, reading the document without reading its meaning and what the document was used for, has led us to an ultimate contradiction. A contradiction based on what we desire to affirm as right actions and behavior and who we align ourselves with in the process.

"I support human rights – education, healthcare, a living wage, freedom of assembly, democracy, life, liberty, freedom from slavery, security, right to own property, the right to vote…. "As Christians, we believe that the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and should be protected. As a Christian, I do not support gay marriage. And NOTHING IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OR IN THE FAITH IN HUMAN RIGHTS STATEMENT SUPPORTS GAY MARRIAGE. By endorsing the statement we affirmed what the Civil Rights Movement affirmed, what America affirms, and what the gospel of Jesus Christ affirms: life and liberty, healthcare and education, a living wage and freedom of speech." -pg. 21
Reading these statements it becomes evidently clear that none of these men understood the use of the UDHR neither in 2008 nor in 2009 when this finally came to light and was addressed. It is painfully clear that one cannot make the UDHR mean something other than it is meant to mean. The document is defined by those who wrote it, those who handle it those who promote it, and those who amend it. It is now clear that the document, by majority decision of member nations means what it says and can be firmly used to support arguments for gay marriage. 

The UDHR, that Bishop Blake endorsed in 2008 and that was approved by COGIC at large in 2009 endorses among other things,  gay marriage specifically stating that it (gay marriage) is a human right.

Will Bishop Charles E. Blake and the Church Of God In Christ Inc. Memphis, TN, finally withdraw the national church endorsement from this document? It remains to be seen, but I for one, join with Elder D. L. Foster in calling for Bishop Blake to undo the damage done to this church, by being aligned with a document that only strengthens the homosexual rights agenda. This document is now a clear basis for the promotion of what scripture defines as an abomination.

This Elder can only hope that our leadership will respond in the most reasonable manner possible, withdrawing the document, while affirming human rights that are Christ centered.

A Mixed Message, Gay Advocacy & Teen Bullying

Recently Google Chrome partnered with gay advocate and relationship advisor, Daniel Savage to promote the "It Gets Better Project". The campaign was developed in response to the recent rash of teen suicides and was designed to help give inspiration to gay teens by letting them know that as society evolves,  and as they get older, the world will become a more accommodating place for them as homosexuals and that they are not alone in the struggle for homosexual rights. In addition the campaign addresses teen bullying which has said to have been responsible for many of the suicide deaths.

103rd Annual Holy Convocation ~ Great God, Good Lord...Say What???


Listen to "COGIC-What Has The Church Become?" Pt. 2 to hear a personal message regarding our opportunity at the 103rd annual gathering. 

The 103 Annual Holy Convocation of the Church Of God in Christ will convene for the first time in St. Louis, MO.  Nov. 8th -16th 2010. This event is historic in many ways:

1- This is the first time in church history that the convocation has ever been held anywhere other than Memphis, TN.

It is said that the move from Memphis was not only about accommodations but also about saving money. Reportedly, the church will save well over $1 Million annually by moving the church away from Memphis. Secondly, the convenience of being able to have a single place for the meeting as opposed to various locations was overwhelmingly and logistically appealing. For sure there are bound to be many different and new faces in St. Louis as some of the old guard don't plan on attending.

2- Although there has been a call from our Presiding Bishop to fast and pray for the past month, unfortunately, that hasn't changed the fact that the featured or publicized speakers this year are either not part of the Church Of God In Christ or are some of the most liberal ideologues in the country.

The 14th Amendment Of The United States Constitution & Homosexuality

2 Thess. 2: 7-12 ~  "7-For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8-And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9-Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10-And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11-And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12-That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

Since the 14th Amendment, especially the "equal protection clause" is currently the basis of the argument in favor of homosexual marriage and eventually other extended homosexual rights, I thought it good to at least share what the amendment says and extend debate over how it should be applied and how I believe it has been misapplied within the current US legal system.

The United States Constitution

1st, the 14th Amendment is subtitled "Citizenship Rights". There are 3 primary clauses in this amendment, The Citizenship Clause, Due Process Clause, Equal Protection Clause and the Incorporation or how the amendment will be applied, which is set forth in the amendment itself. Here is the text:

1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.

Just In Case You Didn't Believe That There Is A Gay Agenda

In the comments section of Does the Bible Deal With Sexual Orientation? A black, homosexual, humanist/atheist who delivers the blog AUSFHART (which is the German word for exit) delivered the following commentary:
"The job of the gay community is not to deal with extremists( the black church) who would castigate us or put us on an island and drop an H-bomb on us. The fact of the matter is that there is a small percentage of people in America who understand the true nature of the homosexual community. There is another small percentage who will never understand us ( like Supt. Burnett who believes in a Bible that deems him a descendant of Ham: a slave).

Our job is not to get those people who dislike us to love us. Nor was our aim in the civil rights movement to get prejudiced white people to love us. Our aim was to try to create the kind of America, legislatively, morally, and psychologically, such that even though some whites continued to hate us, they could not openly manifest that hate. That's our job today: to control the extent to which people can publicly manifest anti-gay sentiment.

Therefore, you Negros can pontificate till judgement day, but this Black, gay man will lobby, vote, influence, and agitate for equality. Hey, you hetero Negros cannot make marriage work( marriage rate has plummeted from 70% to 30% currently) so let us Black gays set the example for education achievement, wealth building, family dynamics, child rearing, marriage bliss, love, sex, and overall successful living. Are We At A Loss? What Are We To Say?

I would guess that comments like this would make those cower who really didn't know the truth and chose to live in ignorance. Even children today watching advertisements and the parading of gay individuals, can easily see that gays have an agenda and that agenda is not only for equality, as AUSFHART suggests, but it is about domination, and suppression of anything that doesn't include it, honor it, or make room for it. If it were not for the fact that we've known for a number of years that the gay agenda is what it is, ie: an agenda, I guess we would be caught off guard with sentiments such as these. So in short we are not at a loss for words, neither are we surprised by radical homosexuals such as this. Let's discuss a few aspects of this confusion 

The Analysis Of AUSFAHRT's Statements & Assertions

1- Proponents Of The Homosexual Agenda Commonly Promote Religious & Class Discrimination

AUSFAHRT starts off by saying what the "job of the gay community" is not, and then goes on to deliver the biggest "straw-man", "red herring" and down right lie ever told in history. He states that

1- The "black church" is religious extremists (not full of them, we ARE them)
2- That church exists to castigate homosexuals and or drop h-bomb on all of them if possible.

First, I have not read any literature where any church, black or white (by tradition) has said anything close to what AUSFAHRT asserts. What this is called is sensationalism and extremism. The comment has no bearing in truth and is not supported by any evidence whatsoever, but yet he calls the "black church" extremists. Further, the comment is a complete lie designed to stereotype, castigate, humiliate and demonize anyone in the "black church" who stands against homosexuality and in favor of the traditional family (ie: marriage between one man and one woman) as outlined and endorsed in the word of God.
