Do Black Lives Really Matter?

Too Many Aborted.com
In my post, "Black Lives Matter...Most Of The Time", I promoted the movement Black Lives Matter, as it, through and by hundreds of protests all over the country, promotes harmony between the Black and urban communities and local police departments.

More To Black Life Than Police...

Although the goal of the Black Lives Matter movement is focused on the police, economics and community relations, there is another more ominous danger that threatens the survival of Black communities all over this country. That is the threat of abortion. To the tune of an estimated over 1,450 lives per day since 1973, the Black Community aborts and continues to abort its babies with the help of federally funded organizations such as Planned Parenthood, which has never broken ties with the startling racist statements and positions of its founder Margaret Sanger who said that Blacks and the poor were like "human weeds" that "never should have been born".

In fact, when I questioned why the Church Of God In Christ, who certainly proudly associated themselves with the Black Lives Matter movement by joining in Solidarity Sunday, (with myself in tow) would not be more vocal on the subject, my message was PROMPTLY removed from the COGIC Facebook site, but mysteriously it reappeared. If I might repeat what I said:
"Then what of our stance on abortion? Black lives are lost to the tune of some 1450 PER DAY. We endorsed a President who claims a woman has a right of choice over the life. Do BLACK lives really matter to us or is this the next buzzword?"
The Presiding Bishop of The Church Of God In Christ, Bishop Charles E. Blake, unlike many others, stood up at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO. in the Wells Fargo Theatre in 2008 and delivered a message questioning the endorsement of abortion, both by the Democratic Party platform and the then "presumed" Democratic National Convention candidate, Sen, Barack Obama. This is what the news recorded:
Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake
"Bishop Charles E. Blake, presiding bishop of the Church of God in Christ, called on presumptive Democratic  nominee, Barack Obama to "follow through on his promise ... to reduce the number of abortions" while stopping just short of criticizing the Democratic Party for its support of the practice.
"Surely we cannot be pleased with ... millions of terminated pregnancies," Blake said to applause from the nearly full Wells Fargo Theater. "Something within us must be calling for a better way. If we do not resist at this point, at what point will we resist?"
Democrats must know about the "moral and spiritual pain so many of us feel because of this disregard for the lives of the unborn," Blake said.
In a speech focusing on society's responsibility to its children, Blake first focused on the plight of the inner-city poor as a human rights responsibility before calling abortion a practice "that conflicts with our position and our responsibility ... to human rights itself."
Although Blake intimated he was frustrated with his party's support of abortion, he praised its positions for the helpless in other ways. "Others loudly proclaim their advocacy for the unborn," he said, receiving a standing ovation, "but they refuse to recognize their responsibility and the responsibility of our nation to those who have been born. "They are presently and historically silent, if not indifferent," he continued, "to the suffering of our inner cities."
I recorded this event on The Dunamis Word in this ARTICLE in 2008 from a now archived edition of the Rocky Mountain News the day after the Convention.

NOW back to our regularly scheduled program:

What Is The Problem?
I think Dr. Alveda King, the daughter of the great late Civil Rights leader, Dr. Martin L. King Jr. summed it up nicely. Let's see what she sad:
Dr. Alveda King
"The liberal media looks the other way on this"...“Pray that people will see right through their propaganda.”... “The media has another agenda; if they really thought that black lives matter they would be protesting abortion on demand.”..."[media] often stirs controversy to boost rating” and “support[s] abortion on demand.”...“This media category ignores the fact that the abortion industry targets minorities,”...
“Even Planned Parenthood tweeted support for Ferguson using the Black Lives Matters hashtags, and yet they abort more black and Hispanic babies that any other abortion provider in America.”~ Dr. Alveda King Daughter of the late Dr. Martin L. King Jr.
BLACK DEATH, HYPOCRISY and a PASSIVE ATTITUDE from society, the church and political community regarding the issue is the problem!

Since 2008, The Dunamis Word has taken on the issue of abortion to bring it front and center alarming the community of the danger and the Black community in particular. Countless babies continue to die through and by abortion. Countless women, mothers of those aborted, continue to die as well at the hands of so called "abortion clinics".  Two of the young ladies who have lost their lives recently due to this sort of "legalized crime" are  Chicago's Tonya Reaves, Cleveland's Lakisha Wilson. Both Black women. Died as a result of failed abortion procedures. Yet we find no demonstrations or protests by any movement, including the Black Lives Matter movement, against these atrocities. The fact is that 4 Black Lives were lost in these 2 events and not a person (other than those who oppose abortion in all forms) protested. The clinics were funded by and large through public funds, similar to the funding of police departments all over the country. Yet not ONE protest! Although Black woman constitute only 14% of the United States population, abortions by Black women account for nearly 30% of the nation's abortions. SOURCE and yet, we DO NOT PROTEST!

The Tale Of A CITY!
A closer look at the most current numbers for NYC abortions, (remember, NYC has generated the most widely held protests against the murder of unarmed Black men by police) display that 77.56% of all abortions are preformed on Either Black or Hispanic women, with Black women, who only make up 25.5% of NYC's population, leading the way with nearly 35,188 aborted that year. That is nearly 46.1% of all babies aborted in NYC at a rate of nearly 96 abortions per day! (Hispanics, 28.6% of NYC population, had 23,959 total lives lost to abortion at a rate of nearly 65 lives per day) The total number of abortions for NYC, 76,251, make it the nations leading city of aborted babies in the United States. Further, New York State has the highest number of abortions overall in the nation totaling 103,339 aborted babies!

NYC "die-in" At Grand Central Station
There is no way that anyone can look at these numbers and not be convinced that this is a epidemic for the Black community of NYC and further something that the whole nation should be hotly concerned about.

Studies also show that Black women are 5 times more likely to abort a child than White women. Condom use doesn't seem to curb the issue either as the and SAME JULY 2014 STUDY shows that over 51% of women who receive abortions used contraceptives in the same month that they became pregnant. In addition, as I have shown in this ARTICLE, the term "medically necessary" is subjective term with no specifically assigned set of values that does not address why and under what circumstances a fetus should be aborted. In addition, numbers show that abortions due to rape and incest only comprise .5% (that is POINT 5 PERCENT) of all abortions since 1973, and those numbers certainly don't seem to be a justification for the soaring numbers that we currently experience (although current numbers say that abortion overall is on a decline- Isn't that special?!?!?!)

Political Inaction, Misdirection and Non-Concern

Bishop Blake's requests and encouragements to now President Obama and the DNC seem to have fallen on deaf ears to say the least. Since his election President, President Obama has gone on record on to say this:
"...every woman should be able to make her own choices about her body and her health...."We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman’s access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom,"..."And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children. Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams."
Although this statement is filled with misdirection of the argument, obfuscation and word casting (almost political code) it is clear that the President's has allegiance to abortion no matter the cost. Noone questions whether a woman should have the right about "her body and her health". This argument is about a BABY'S BODY and that BABY'S right to his/her health. In addition "reproductive freedom" is not the issue, the right of life for the unborn is...babies can have dreams if they are allowed to live. Preventing unwanted pregnancies has NOTHING to do with saving the lives of babies who cannot speak for themselves. With all that said, the DNC went on to exclude God from their political party platform in the last election...go figure!!!!

What Has Our President Done Since His First Election?

Beliefnet has compiled President Obama's Pro-Life record HERE It is really astounding. He has done MUCH for homosexual acceptance marital normalization, but NOTHING to protect babies in vitro from murder. What a SHAME from the most powerful nation and leader on Earth!

Conclusion

In short, if Black Lives Mattered as we all contend that they do, the lives of the unborn would matter as well. They are not only Black lives that should matter, but lives of the innocent whether Black White Hispanic or otherwise.

I certainly support many aspects of the Black Lives Matter movement, and was all in on Solidarity Sunday and much more beyond, before and above it and whatever it meant. I feel that the slogans in favor of Black lives should really mean what it professes to mean. Not simply because of the police or failed community policing policies, but because countless lives, dreams, opportunities and hopes are being lost everyday to abortion and the abortion industry.

Planned Parenthood continues to say that their primary mission is the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. They claim that if they don't exist, then the community and especially Black America would be in trouble because they would not have the necessary "medical help". While all of that is very arguable and at some point even comical, all I know is that while spending some of that $1 Billion in assets annually  they still have not changed their association with eugenics and they remain  part of the social movement that targets Black and poor minorities for its abortion services in nearly every major urban population in America. HERE'S the map to show how Planned Parenthood abortions centers are in nearly every major urban population in America.

Unto Us A Son Is Given! Pt. 2

(Con't From Part 1 Of this Mini-series)

Almah: This word occurs 7 times in the OT scriptures. Although it is difficult to follow this word, we find that it never means anything that “bethulah” does not mean. In fact we find that the use of Almah is a more specific term than “bethulah”

Almah appears to deal more with “childbearing age or ability” rather than physical condition of the person. Further, the LXX (Greek Old Testament) translates this word in Isaiah 7:14 as “Parthenos”, which is a further and more specific way in which to say “virgin” in the Greek.

Parthenos is a Greek word that applies in nearly every instance and context, to the marriageable age, or qualification for marriage by maturity. The word applies to both male and females.

For example we find that it applies to men in Revelation 14:4:
“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. (Parthenoi) These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”
1- The use of this word by Isaiah was more specific than Bethulah would have been. Almah appears to pin down the specified detail of the context. It suggests more strongly than bethulah the following things:
a- The woman or person was young
b- The woman or person was of marriageable age
c- The woman or person was always single and never married
d- The woman had not been “defiled” through previous or prior sexual activity

12-13-14 ~ JUSTICE For ALL

BLACK LIVES MATTER

The National Action Network along with other groups, came to Washington DC presenting their case in what is a national movement demanding that the entire justice system of the United States be revamped through a series of measures. Although the prayer began with a tribute to "Mother god" (a God whom I am not familiar with) and was also supported by gay advocacy groups such as the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), and ended with the rumored mother of a very popular minister's baby (Stacey Francis) and a "Please send Black Jesus" Jamal H Bryant...in all it was a great event and one worth listening to to gain a basis for the various viewpoints on the myriad of issues that have contributed to our current condition within our communities as it pertains to race relations. Black Lives Matter...Most Of The Time

The recent excuses given to not indict or even take to trial individuals trusted to protect the public has created a firestorm of controversy in the United states. The Presiding Bishop of the Church Of God In Christ, Bishop Charles E. Blake, calls on the COGIC community along with all believers to send a strong message of solidarity Sunday Dec. 14th that Black Lives Matter! (I will save my continued and ongoing commendation to the church to prove the same in a future writing thus the "Most Of The Time" appellation in the title)

Presiding Bishop Blake Clarifies Carter Criticism...Somewhat...

Thanks to one of my readers I was directed towards a statement recently released by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake   concerning his criticism of Dr. Earl Carter and his message at the 107th Annual Holy Convocation. I have done 5 articles already on this (way too much) that can be found HEREHEREHEREHERE and HERE

In this exciting NEW "episode" Bishop Blake clarifies what commentary contained within the nearly hour long message that Dr. carter presented, was, in his opinion, offensive and "inappropriate". from what can be assessed from the following statement, his dissent is boiled down to his tenor, tone and the use of a crude metaphorical statement.  The statement of Bishop Blake, released by a church Secretary on the West Angeles facebook site is as follows:

Dr. Earl Carter's Response To A Sad COGIC Apology

I received this from a source who confirmed the substance of Dr. Carter's response to the apology delivered by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake of the Church of God in Christ.

Of no doubt, I agree with Dr. Carter's assessment of what can be drawn from the willingness to conform to the world within the highest ranks of this church. To the critic, YOU don't control me, neither do you control my pulpit or New Bethel COGIC or any ministries that I and we represent. This blog is a tool of free speech and one that I seek to use to better the Kingdom of God, preach the word, and teach the Saints. In the course of doing those things I gladly stand with those who do what the bible says to do and that is stand for truth. YOU haven't done a thing for me up until this point, continue to do just that...NOTHING...So that means don't demand that I remove anything that is TRUE and that is representative of the bible truth. The sins that you embrace causes you to look bad, not the light of truth that shines upon them. You don't like this ORDAINED, and appointed SUPERINTENDENT'S message, (and I am referring humbly to myself-LOL!) then read elsewhere! I am FREE and this is a FREE country...not communist China or Russia...and I mean no offense to all my Russian and Chinese readers. I appreciate your support and prayers and pray for you in return!

McCulloch, STUPIANI & HOW!

Rudy Stupiani on CNN New Day
Partner In The Firm McCulloch, Stupiani & How!
The former Mayor of New York, Rudolph William Louis Giuliani better known as Rudy Guiliani or Rudy "STUPIANI" on this blog until further notice, not only inserted his foot in his mouth and ate crow with his over the top, ignorant and racist rant against Michael Eric Dyson over the weekend, but continued to display his complete arrogance and utter ignorance through cunningly and meticulously devised fables aimed at appealing to the White "power right" base which were eager to hear him lie, and deceive in effort to get Black people "told".

Ooh it was easy for STUPIANI to do this because he had an audience ready to swallow his racist, ranting and insults. I mean paint the picture, Blacks in America are out of control...Blacks can't obey the law...Blacks kill one another at epidemic rates...all of which demands that White man, along with tax dollars, have to rescue the world from Blacks right?

An Official COGIC Apology...Sad Day For The Church!

UPDATE: 11/26/2016: I would like to say that we are certainly not pleased with how this disagreement from Elder Carter toward the actions or non actions of Presiding Bishop Blake has taken place. Carter had a right to ask for a clarification, which he and we all did. Once that clarification was delivered, as it was, then what should have happened was that we walk away from the issue and certainly avoid personal attacks upon character. Carter was wrong and remains wrong for how he continues to characterize Bishop Blake. Further, others, with whom Carter fraternized, have also proven to be no more than sensationalists, turning on Carter and others to gain information by which they "think" they can extort money from our leadership. They are vile, evil deceivers, seeking to subvert minds and purses to them and their cause. Certainly these individuals do not march or walk in accord with the Spirit of God. There are many things that the church should do better. I and the Dunamis Word will continue to hold up a standard and push for and promote holiness, renewal of faith through a higher standard of moral and social values, change and improvement of process at all levels of the church, but we will continue to do so in a non-sensational manner, reserving the right to call sin sin, and sinners wrong, even if they wear a clergy. We will continue to do so in a manner in which we can stand before all men unashamed. Do not be deceived, there are men who, in order to avoid claims of defamation, they have called themselves "investigative journalists" and claim that they are reporting "news". However, they are no more than gossipers, reporting lies seeking money and claiming to have received money. Do not believe those lies. Ask them to show you copies of the checks or the bank currency transaction reports which are essential to deal in cash transactions at $3,000 and $10,000. I continue to stand by the statements made in this article, but this is not joke and should not be used to simply make fun and gain as Carter and some who have followed him have. The story cannot be rewritten. From the beginning, Carter was about taking down Bishop Blake as the lead homosexual character of the church.  Those that joined him were clearly in accord with that mission. For the enlightened, repentance is in order. For those that continue, do so knowing that the God observes the good and the evil and rains on the just as well as the unjust. May God continue to bless all of them that wish this church to return to the foundation of holiness in all of its manner, both public and private. ~ Supt. Harvey Burnett

In addition to the statement that was released from the church regarding the 107th Annual Holy Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ, Presiding Bishop Blake decided to take things to an all new level or should I say and all new LOW for the "Grand Ole Church". This short excerpt from from the West Angeles Church service after the Convocation has more than burnt up the internet and especially facebook. The statement is resoundingly clear in uncovering what the Bishop was trying and endeavoring to do...Primarily: completely distance himself and the church both from anything that was said during Dr. Carter's message and anything that happened afterward by way of claimed deliverance by Andrew Caldwell, the person who's testimony is at the heart of the controversy.

Bishop Blake read part of the initial statement and added some additional information for context. Here is the Bishop's statement:

The Bishop's Assertions

Presiding Bishop Blake concluded that the speaker, Supt. Dr. Carter, had "used terms and spoke in a way that was offensive and inappropriate". To remind you, Dr. Carter called gay men "sissies", called the Bishops responsible for the proliferation of the gay agenda within the church by allowing them free reign, telling them that they were going to be held accountable for what they had allowed and called into judgement, and also at one point wished, that since gay men wanted to be women, that they would regularly "bleed from the butt" crudely referencing the monthly menstrual that a woman has as a sign of womanhood.

Marc Lamont Hill's COGIC Examination: "Look at This Fxxxed Up Church"

The FALLOUT from preaching HOLINESS and condemning the sin of homosexuality has reached epic proportions and criticisms. Not only has the testimony of a man named "Andrew" been on late night TV shows, mocked and ridiculed by society, because he declared his "freedom" from homosexuality, but but in an interview conducted by Dr. Marc Lamont Hill of Huffington Post Live, Dr. Hill says that the criticism, which should have been leveled, should have been directed towards the church (Church Of God In Christ) instead of being directed towards the young man, by saying that under the right circumstance an examination that people should have been saying,

"Look at this Fxxxed up church, instead of look at this fxxxed up kid" ~ Marc Lamont Hill (48:16 mark of video)

Although COGIC has tried to lay low, I know of no one in COGIC that has criticized the "kid" However, that has not stopped COGIC from playing the "good guy" role by placing all the "good things" that it has done and continues to do in society on top of and over everything that it does. Yet the "educated" elite and in some cases the not so educated, elite, pious, and worldly, have arisen to examine the church, its ministry and its service and criticizing the church as being patriarchal, misogynistic, hateful, full of brainwashed individuals and out of touch in the 21st Century.

For anyone wanting to see the complete interview, they can go HERE

Before I get started I would like to say that the testimony of the young man named Andrew, whether authentic or not, is not the real issue. People lie in church all the time and from the looks of it the panelists can relate either by personal experience or observation to that truth. So those who choose to condemn and theorize conspiracy or that Andrew was not real, are free to do so. For me, my examination, the issue was

The Nations Largest Pentecostal Holiness Church DISTANCES Itself From Deliverance From Homosexuality

Well, this is something that you don't see everyday Chauncey!

When Dr. Earl Carter preached at the 107th annual Holy Convocation, he did 2 things. First he called the homosexual, participating in the church, a "sissy" and said that they need to be delivered. This is not unusual. The late former presiding Bishop LH Ford called homosexuals "sissies" regularly. In fact a HOST of Sr. bishops can be heard referencing homosexuals in the same manner. Some even calling them what the bible calls them, effeminate, or Sodomites (both of which the liberal religious crowd try to reject)

Secondly, somebody came up and "claimed" to have gotten delivered as a result. A young man who declared that he was "delivered" and that he "loved women" admitted the error of his former homosexual lifestyle and not only he but many others came forth seeking to be free and seeking deliverance. Whether his claim was true or not, remains to be seen, but it seems that COGIC...Yes, the Grand Ole Church...is anything but glad to be associated with either happening.

Praying For The Family & The Ministry Of Dr. Myles Munroe

"The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose.” — Dr. Myles Munroe

With deep sadness it has been brought to our attention that Dr. Myles Munroe along with his wife Ruth, and his daughter, have gone before us into glory after a plane crash in the Bahamas today, Sunday Nov. 9th.

Sources report that the crash occurred when the plane, a Lear 36 executive jet, malfunctioned for some currently unknown reason, hitting a crane on its final approach to the Grand Bahama International Airport.

Charisma News reported the following:
"Dr. Myles Munroe, internationally-known author, bible teacher, governmental consultant and leadership mentor, was one of nine passengers on a plane that crashed in Grand Bahama on Sunday afternoon, according to multiple news reports.

Police, Black Men & Racism. More Evidence

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Sixth Article of the Bill of Rights, otherwise known as The FOURTH Amendment of The United States Constitution:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.[HERE]
In my previous post, "Is It Open Season On Black Men?" I pose the question regarding the over the top response by the police to Black people in public settings. I also look at the resultant overstep of law enforcement towards the Black community in general and the Black man in particular. This video is more proof of a very real and ongoing problem.

Taken Jan. 31st in Minneapolis St. Paul, MN. You will NOT find a man with a gun, drugs, cigarette, or a criminal record. You will not find a man running from the police while shooting at them, nor one who has just robbed a store. What you will find is a CITIZEN of the United States of America trying to conduct himself in a manner consistent with his rights granted him under the Constitution of the United States which supposedly also guarantees his personal freedoms. This video, if nothing else, is evidence that for some reason, (race being the issue) was denied the opportunity to live out his freedom.

This is shocking. However, it is all too consistent with how many Black people are confronted by the police either privately or within groups. The young man that was harassed by the police in the video said this:
"All of my charges were dismissed as of July 31st which means everything I did I had a legal right to do so... You can say as much as you want against my case... But the fact that it was already dismissed shows your opinionated predisposition when you comment saying Ignorant things... I was vindicated of all charges already..."
Yes, even though I don't know of anyone who would condone police behavior in this incident, this young man has taken criticism for speaking up and out on the issues and making the point, as it is clear that RACE had everything to do with what we witnessed here.

To say that race is not an issue as it pertains to community policing and related issues, is to bury one's head in the sand and separate one's self from the historic understanding of not only what racism is, but how the new racism has extended itself within modern society. To confuse this issue with issues of "Black on Black crime" is further ignorance of the real problem.

The fact is that stereotypes and attitudes against Blacks within society, especially as it pertains to police and issues of freedom, continue to exist...When fellow Americans admit that there is a problem and seek to find solutions to those problems, then we can ALL have a community that we can be proud of. Until then, there is much work to do and all people must be careful and at the same time, demand more from those in authority who have been entrusted to protect ALL citizens of the community.

Blessed!

Additional info from Wickipedia:
In certain situations, law enforcement may perform a search when they have a reasonable suspicion of criminal activity, even if it falls short of probable cause necessary for an arrest. Under Terry v. Ohio (1968), law enforcement officers are permitted to conduct a limited warrantless search on a level of suspicion less than probable cause under certain circumstances. In Terry, the Supreme Court ruled that when a police officer witnesses "unusual conduct" that leads that officer to reasonably believe "that criminal activity may be afoot", that the suspicious person has a weapon and that the person is presently dangerous to the officer or others, the officer may conduct a "pat-down search" (or "frisk") to determine whether the person is carrying a weapon.[52] This detention and search is known as a Terry stop. To conduct a frisk, officers must be able to point to specific and articulable facts which, taken together with rational inferences from those facts, reasonably warrant their actions.[53] As established in Florida v. Royer (1983), such a search must be temporary, and questioning must be limited to the purpose of the stop (e.g., officers who stop a person because they have reasonable suspicion to believe that the person was driving a stolen car, cannot, after confirming that it is not stolen, compel the person to answer questions about anything else, such as the possession of contraband).[54][55]
On Probable Cause:
The standards of probable cause differ for an arrest and a search. The government has a probable cause to make an arrest when "the facts and circumstances within their knowledge and of which they had reasonably trustworthy information" would lead a prudent person to believe that the arrested person had committed or was committing a crime.[80] Probable cause to arrest must exist before the arrest is made. Evidence obtained after the arrest may not apply retroactively to justify the arrest.[81]

Laodicea!...You May be Wealthy, But YOU'RE POOR!!!!

In 2010 I did a post on Tyler Perry's confession to Oprah Winfrey, called "Tyler Perry & The Placed Of Parted Company". In that post I praised Perry for his open confession of the sexual abuse and molestation that he had suffered as a child and stated that I am not willing to throw him under the bus because of what many held to be his speculative sexual past, especially in light of what he had suffered both as a child and young adult.

I yet praise that confession, because the cesspool of sexual abuse is devastating and no child or person deserves to go through life changing events such as those in any way. However, over time, there has been additional information revealed that I believe adds context to both past and historical events regarding the issue and what we have become to accept as the "Christian "church.

Follow The Timeline

First, looking back, Tyler, according to his statements during that period of time, was in a relationship with whom I believe we can safely assume was the woman currently carrying his child, Gelila Bekele. I say safely assume, because in a 2011 interview in Ebony Magazine, Tyler did not actually say who it was that he "thought" was pregnant by him even though he claimed that she was "really special" to him.

"Krisis" Judgement & The New Sexual Morality Of The Church Pt. 1

The church is under much duress. The attack of the enemy from outside of the church is small and even insignificant when it is considered what is being experienced from within the church. We have false and fanatical teachings and doctrines being proliferated and accepted as if all teachings lead to God. We have apostate leaders, who's only mission is politics and catering to political whims. The modern church is struggling with the acceptance of homosexuality and homosexual unions and even homosexuals in the ministry. There are now bishops and pastors, both male and female who have either ordained themselves or manipulated someone into ordaining them who live gay lifestyles and embrace homosexual immorality claiming that the "bible" covers and or endorses their sins.

As if the rise and seeming acceptance of homosexual sin were not bad enough, we also have a new generation of individuals embracing heterosexual sin and pushing it to sad new heights. The advent of the socially oriented church and so called "reality TV" heavily discussed on social media, has afforded us the ability to turn on the plasma to observe fornicators, adulterers, yet professing to be Christians, pursuing sexual impurity as a "choice" within Christian Christian circles. It is as if living immoral, is not really immoral, and that the believer has a "choice" and that the results and penalties of the wrong choice are merely a minimal inconvenience.

Abuse vs Discipline. Is The Bible Still Right?

Proverbs 23:13-14 ~ 13-Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14-Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Everyone knows the news...The NFL has adopted a new "policy" aimed at deterring its players from proceeding down the path of domestic violence. There are over 4 players who are currently suspended from their NFL jobs for domestic abuse. Of course we all know from the video that it was domestic abuse and even domestic violence when Ray Rice knocked Janay, his now wife, out cold. We all looked on and said, that is a clear case of what should not be acceptable within the NFL, society and within our institutions in general.

Hip-Hop, Idolatry & The Church Pt. 23 ~ The G. Craig Lewis Gospel

I haven't mentioned Elder Lewis in quite some time and they say that even a broke clock is right twice a day-LOL!!! Not saying that he is a "broke clock" but ANYWAY, in this interview our dear friend G. Craig Lewis tackles the questions asked by Gospel Truth Magazine regarding the "Gospel music industry" and the problems that he knows that exist as gospel artists have sold themselves into silence against the culture. On THIS issue, I believe brother is certainly on point and I appreciate his work in that area of ministry.

Now he was 100% CORRECT speaking about not allowing homosexuals to serve in ministry, but around 21:57 he says that homosexuals shouldn't even be allowed in the church...I think he should go back to the drawing-board on that one...As he says he asks others, "Where's that at in the bible?" This is where the "broke clock" comes in. I don't believe you'll find that one or anything that says, block the door of the church for any sinner, that hadn't already been condemned and judged by God. Howbeit, (and I render this in hope that I am correct about his intention) I BELIEVE he was referring to the acceptance and perpetuation of homosexual behavior as being the problem...although that's not what he stated. He stated, they shouldn't be in the church period. So I don't know...All I know is Jesus said this:

Lk. 19:10 ~ For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

The CHURCH is the only hope for all sinners. If we have POWER, they should be able to come and be delivered and set free. That's the church and what it's about, whether we're comfortable or uncomfortable with what we have to do to not allow their sin to be embraced by others. We can put boundaries around any ungodly activity in church, including the ungodly activity of homosexuality but let ALL sinners come to Jesus and HIS church! Even if they have to sit until they are set free....

Anyway, except for that little misstep, I think there are some good questions that can be raised by his commentary.

Constitutional Protection Of Ferguson Protesters SHOT DOWN!

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon allowed whom he described as "a very few" and "hand full of looters" to trump the Constitutional rights of the thousands gathered together in peaceful protests and assembly in Ferguson, MO. in response to the Michael Brown murder.

In what was one of the most contentious press conferences that I've ever witnessed, the Governor gave away the Constitutionally protected rights of peaceful citizens to some opportunist crooks under the guise of community "safety". Some, including the Governor, have been duped into believing that this should have been done to settle the crowd down and to place parameters on protest. Only that is a violation of the law for peaceable protest...I and many others say...ARREST those responsible for the crimes, BUT begin with the crime committed by the officer who killed a young man with his hands raised!

At this time however, there is still no statement from the police as to any potential charges that could be leveled against the officer. "It is still under investigation" is the phrase to wart off any possible demand for acquisition of the individual suspected to have killed Michael Brown. On the other hand, what there has been are pictures and statements that implicate Michael Brown and call his character into question saying that he was a "man on the run" looking to start trouble with the police over cigarillos that he reportedly stole from the store prior to his death. This is said to have placed him in an "offensive" mindset, whereby he would have attacked the police...like a modern day, Al Capone, John Dillinger or Pretty Boy Floyd....We are to believe that Michael Brown was willing to establish a lifelong criminal record over some cigarillos....OK...SURE!!!!

As the family continues their quest for justice, we find that we are following the same path as the highly publicized case of Trayvon Martin's family in their quest for justice. Once again, we wait for anyone to even admit that something was wrong when a person gets shot multiple times from a distance with their hands up in a surrender position. Further, what we have also found out is that Michael was blocked from getting any type of medical care. Yes, there was a RN on site that begged police to allow her to tend to the victim...she was prohibited from doing anything and yet Michael's body lay in the street over 45 minutes.

Then YOU think that citizens, fed up with it all should just, "go home" and "calm down"? R U Serious?

Citizens of Ferguson WE STAND with you!

HANDS UP! DON'T SHOOT!

Is It Open Season On Black Men?

UPDATE 11/26/2014: Much has been made of forensics saying that Michael Brown was not shot in the back. Forensic specialists conclude eye witnesses that say that Officer Darren Wilson shot at Michael Brown while he was running away, were simply wrong. They further conclude that because there were no shots in the back that Darren Wilson is credible and simply told the truth.

But we remember the testimony of Piaget Crenshaw who says that she saw and heard Darren Wilson shooting at Michael Brown.while Michael Brown was running away. Now, why would they conclude that she was wrong? There is only one reason...They ASSUME that Darren Wilson was an accurate shooter. If that is the case, then why are none of the shots that hit the target center mass of Mike Brown's body? It is quite easy to understand why there were no shots in the back. Darren Wilson was not a good shooter.

***THIS WAS TOP STORY ON NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS 8/11/2014***

18 Yr. Old Michael Brown
18 year old, UNARMED, Black youth Michael Brown, was killed by the Police in Ferguson, MO Saturday afternoon Aug. 9th, 2014. According to the police, Michael was a participant in an "altercation" with police when "someone" fired a shot at the police. The policeman, after being pushed into his car, responded by coming up and shooting multiple shots. Reportedly, Michael was hit by most of these multiple shots and killed.

Eyewitnesses however have somewhat of a different version of events which has stirred considerable controversy. One eyewitness, who happens to be the other young man whom the police stopped with Michael, Dorian Johnson, reported that the police initially stopped both the youths without provocation and proceeded to try to place Michael in the squad car forcibly. Michael resisted. The police evidently shot though no shots were fired at him/them. Johnson went on to say this:
“He shot again and once my friend felt that shot he turned around and put his hands in the air and started to get down, and the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.”...“We wasn’t causing no harm to nobody [sic],”...“We had no weapons on us at all.”

Islam, Submission With No Peace Pt. 9...ISIS

ISIS Executing Iraqi Soldiers
ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) a force of nearly 7,000 to 8,000 Sunni militants, has quickly placed itself in the lead of the many woes facing the Middle East. Many of us have heard the threat of ISIS repeated over and over on the news and seen how this group (also called a mobile army) has kicked both Christians and other Muslims out of their homes.

ISIS, with 800 men, captured the second most populous city in Iraq, Mosul, which was defended by 30,000 soldiers. This group has successfully waged war in both Syria and Iraq and is quickly gaining strength in the whole region in effort to establish a completely new state with a completely new Muslim ethic.

Engaging The Culture...What Is Your Purpose?

Is American culture an unbelieving culture? Have we given this culture or generation good reasons to believe? Simply saying, "you need Jesus" is ineffective because most people have no clue what that means. What does it mean to "engage the culture" and not loose one's spiritual identity in the process?

These are the questions that we must ask as we engage this modern generation and modern culture. They have been fed so much information, much of which is centered on the supremacy of man and mankind. Given a steady diet of the world and what the world thinks, can be corrosive and damaging to the center of ones being, because life does not revolve only around material and materialism, it is a spiritual journey and what ones spirit aspires to could have an eternal weight of measure.

In our Facebook forum, "In Defense Of The Faith~1 Pet. 3:15" I shared a recent incident in which I overheard a young lady discussing the bible, God and her opposition to the theistic beliefs and the Christian narrative in particularly.

She was a nice young lady and her conversation struck me in particularly because she had no idea who I was and I certainly didn't ruin it for her. Before we parted, I explained to her my interest in what she was saying and asked her to join the conversation on facebook as I dealt with her concerns and the things that she brought up.

Here are a few of her concerns as I remember them:
1- I don't believe in God because I don't know where he came from or who he is. Everybody
has a birth, but God just is. What is that? I mean I understand Jesus, because he had a mother and a father. I understand other people 'cause we know where they came from and who their parents are. I don't know where God came from. Can't no preacher tell me where God came from they just tell me to believe so I can be saved....I said believe in who and what?
2- (because of 1 above) What gives God the right to just tell me and everybody else what to do? We don't even know where he comes from!
3- I am here because of my parents. I am not here for anything else but for what I want to be here for.
4- I am a self directed person. I just do what I think is right. Can't no God that we don't know, tell me how I should do anything. That don't make no sense to me.
5- If there was only 2 people in the world then where did everybody else come from? You mean to tell me that Adam and eve's kids had sex with one another and had kids? That's just nasty! That don't make any sense to me.
6- Read the bible. There is a lot of stuff in there that don;t make no sense like all of us coming from 2 people. Like how could Eve come from somebody's rib? Be serious? How does a person come from somebody else's body parts?

While some of my atheist friends who are regular readers will think, "smart girl"...and while I would agree, I would also affirm that her sentiments when examined are only apropos to the culture and severely short-sighted.

While I dealt with all of her objections on facebook, I will deal with part of her assertions in this post. I will deal with the rest in the comments as various other parts come up. It was particularly interesting as I am writing a new book called "Manifest Purpose" and also reading a Myles Munroe classic "In Pursuit Of Purpose".  Dr. Munroe says in his Introduction:

"There is also a generation in every nation that seems to have lost its sense of purpose. They are out of touch with the values, morals and convictions that build strong families, secure communities, healthy societies and prosperous nations. Thus the moral fabric of most societies is being stretched and tested to its outer limits. In every nation the concern is the same."
At the heart of the issue is purpose. If we are products of blind chance and a cosmic accident, we have every right to self direct, because nothing ultimately means anything. However, if we are created by an intelligent mind, then that mind created each individual for a purpose and every life serves a purpose.

Engaging This Generation

This is what I said regarding what she stated in #'s 3 and 4 which was really only about purpose:
Objections 3 & 4 ~ "I have my own purpose in life, noone else, especially a God can do that for me" & "I follow the dictates of my own mind"
I restated the objections because that is what it basically comes down to. Is our life about fulfilling our own purpose? Is following the dictates of the mind the best way for us to live? The young lady offers some good food for thought and something that seems to be a center thread of this modern generation.
First, I am sure that most people who have this thought have never thought about the nature of purpose, or what relationship life has to purpose. This is why having the proper belief system is vitally important. If we are just cosmic accidents or products of blind material existence, then we can ultimately have no purpose. All things are simply accidents.
In a God  or Christ paradigm things are different. Under our paradigm purpose deals with intent or the way something was intended to be used or presented. You are who you are by design and you have the ability to do what you do by intent. In other words, you are not an accident and by virtue of that, your life and actions mean something.
One aspect that is often overlooked is that purpose also deals with solving a particular problem or an issue. Every engineer knows that the first stop is to receive a set of problems that need to be addressed. After that assessment has been made, then you begin the design with the intent of solving or addressing the issues. You give and take to accomplish the outlined goals.
Any other use outside of the intended design may be a self directed type of purpose, but it could also be a misuse of the way things were intended to be and work. In that case, operating outside of the design specification creates a problem for the designed piece.
So although we can have purposes relative to our experiences, and live in those things as many do all the time, we can never implement our own ultimate purpose. We did not design ourselves and our parents only facilitated the material process of our being, not the spiritual or more overarching premise of who we are.
If we believe that we are only products of material creation, then we short change ourselves. We underestimate our value, our intent and our design. One may follow the dictates of their own mind, but to do so is much less than how we were designed and intended to be used or directed in life. This is in part why the mind of all things, is so unstable. Only God can tame and or direct both it and the desires of the heart.
***********************
Conclusion:

Understanding purpose means to understand that God did not make preparation for our lives on the fly. There is an intent and a design for our lives, even if we can't currently understand it. From suffering and pain, to the greatest victory and the highest heights. God has a PLAN for each of us and it is not a surprise plan.

As I said, I addressed the other elements of her conversation and also invited her to view and engage further. Hopefully we will meet again so I can tell her that there are good answers to her concerns. I was encouraged more than ever to continue to tell the truth  and uphold the standard of Jesus because WE may be the only light that the world will ever see and it is more than worth blessing a soul!

Sexual Abuse & Silence STILL Doesn't Mix

Catholic Archbishop Robert Carlson claimed in a recent sworn deposition and testimony, that in the 80's, while he was Chancellor of the diocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul, that he was unaware that sexual molestation of minors, or pedophilia was a crime.

How convenient it is to forget events and remain silent about what you know when your back is against the wall...For the Catholic Bishop in the video, I think with all that he didn't know, it probably would have been more easy to ask him what he did know...That list may have been much more short and simple to understand.

While it is difficult to remember details to conversations and actions that occurred nearly 30 or so years ago, it is all too corporately acceptable to hold to ignorance and obfuscate when all else fails...The only problem is that whatever was true then, should be true now and only a 'lie" needs to be "touched up" or refreshed.

~~My Mock Interview With Carlson~~
Me: Bishop, since you seem to have forgotten so much, do you know or remember the WORD of God?
Bishop Carlson: I don't remember that either?
Me: Well that is obvious...I just thought you may have forgotten that you forgot and remembered by now....
Bishop Carlson: Well, that makes sense...I think I remember that...
Arguably, his deposition seems to be a crime itself. It is it below, if you have about 3 hours to kill... but first...

The COGIC Challenge....

Burnett Testimony In High Profile Case
I was deposed in a setting of this sort. I was deposed regarding events that I had not witnessed, but was versed on when it came to sexual abuse and certain actions and procedures within our church. Except, my deposition was much longer...it was about 5 hours.

Before I could complete the final 2 hours, the church...YES the Grand Ole COGIC SETTLED with the persons who were suing them, and in the process, demanded a gag order, or an order of silence upon the "victims" or "plaintiffs" with whom they settled. In other words, the church took out the Grand Ole Checkbook, the victims got paid, shut-up according to order, and my 5 hours never saw the light of day. That's OK.

Gate-Way To The Midwest

Now, it is interesting that this Catholic Bishop, is now in St. Louis, MO.  For those who don't know, St. Louis is the current home of the COGIC Holy Convocation. The Holy Convocation is COGIC's largest and most important annual convention or meeting.

My question is will COGIC, since it presents such an influential event in St. Louis, MO.,  make a statement condemning sexual abuse of all kinds? Since they have failed to do so previously even regarding atrocities which have arisen from our own ranks, I would implore and urge officials that understand the seriousness of these issues to make and take a stand.

I CHALLENGE COGIC to SPEAK UP and take a position on this matter and other matters of sexual abuse in favor of victims rights. Further, I CHALLENGE the leaders of our church to take an open stand against abuse or all forms both inside and outside of the church and take a vocal and active role in bringing deliverance, help and healing to the VICTIMS (Remember those who have been damaged by the perverted actions of others?)
I have done my best to make this so and will continue to advocate as strongly as I am able. I Am My Brother's Keeper Christian Advocacy Council, plans to speak up once again at the 2014 Holy Convocation. It is my hope that our COGIC officials will join me in this effort and also take a serious look at the victim's advocacy proposal that I have presented to certain "high level" officials within the church.

It is ABSOLUTELY foolish to continue to do the same thing and expect different results... Do the right think and make molesters and predators know that their day is ended!

Son Of Hamas Founder..."Dying Is A Way Of Worship!"

Genesis 12:3 ~ 3-And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The Gaza strip war and conflict has been spurred on by the terrorist group hamas. Unfortunately, the anti Israeli sentiment has sank in across America sparking marches and demonstrations all over.

However, before one gets carried away, one must know the TRUTH behind what is really going on. One cannot negotiate with anyone who believes that their mission in life is to create and support murder and death of all that they believe stand between themselves and their ultimate utopia.

As for me and my house...we CONTINUE to bless Israel and the people of God (the church that is in Jesus Christ) all around the world. We will not be deceived! The demon of the ideology called hamas can do nothing but be cast out and trampled under our feet!

Human Trafficking...Real People, Real Situations Deserve A REAL Church!

I Am My Brother's Keeper Christian Advocacy Council allows us to press the battle against sexual abuse to the church and church related entities in effort to help heal and minister to those in need.

However, there is a growing faction of individuals caught within a growing societal subclass that desperately need ministry and the church to show up. This is in part why we MUST deal with our issues within the church. Jesus said it like this:

Matthew 7:3-5 ~ 3-And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4-Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam isin thine own eye? 5-Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

The church must get it right and address the issues within its boarders.

While that happens, those of us on the mission field who know and believe in the value of life and the human heart and spirit, must be reminded that these are real people. They need us and WE need them! Most importantly, they need us to be REAL!

The World, READY To Hate Believers!

In an interview conducted by NFL writer, Ira Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune, with former Indianapolis Colts Head Coach and NBC sports commentator, Tony Dungy, Tony said the following regarding openly homosexual NFL player Michael Sam:

“I wouldn’t have taken him,’’...“Not because I don’t believe Michael Sam should have a chance to play, but I wouldn’t want to deal with all of it. “It’s not going to be totally smooth … things will happen.’’
Now, I watched and listened as this firestorm took wings. As the new U.S. Socialist, Secular Humanistically inspired, politically correct, talking head police moved in like vultures to devour fresh roadkill on an Arizona highway....I have never heard more blatantly ignorant commentary in my life regarding a subject that was blown so far out of proportion.

I heard people blaming Tony's Christianity and belief in the bible for his so called "small" views and that he was a secret "homophobe" (whatever that is) because he stated some rather obvious points from a coaching and team management perspective. There were so many people ready to bash Christianity, the bible and the biblical teachings against homosexuality when Dungy made his comments that it was sickening. Local news personalities claimed to be upset that Dungy would invoke his "Christian beliefs" and others were ready to bash the bible as an old irrelevant book, further demonstrating their ignorance that the WORD of God IS a LIVING document.

Then further, not only did we hear that because Coach Dungy stood with Michael Vick and Plaxico Burriss through their life's struggles that he was somehow less than a Christian by making statements that were "against" Homo-Sam... I heard the continued ignorant ramblings of a comparison of being Black or a minority, and the struggle for civil rights based on color with homosexuality and the struggle for their acceptance in society and homosexual marriage....Look...ANYONE can have sex and stop having sex...every one is free to have sex with whomever they wish, within the bounds of law, however RACE is something that NONE of us can stop, turn off or turn on...There is NO COMPARISON between being Black, and the struggle for civil rights based on color and being a homosexual and struggling for recognition within society based on who you "love" and how you like to have sex...STOP THE MADNESS!

Although homosexual advocates are piggybacking on civil rights advances by Blacks and minorities within society, homosexuality is STILL a choice of sex and sexual activity that DOES NOT deserve to be favored or protected in law as we see happening within America's courts. Certainly, all people deserve dignity and respect. That is NOT the question. But stop the PRETENSE that Black parallels are gay parallels. They ARE NOT!
Stephen To The Rescue?

Until Stephen A Smith (ESPN Sports Analyst) undertook the topic, I thought to myself, what happened to the "tolerance" of the so called tolerant? And why are these folk bashing the bible and Christianity when the man did not invoke ONE bible scripture, nor was he preaching a message?

Stephen may be challenged on many issues, and is certainly not one that fights for Christian conservatism, but his comments were much better than almost any that I heard within the media:

Tony's subsequent statement on the issue:

On Monday afternoon while on vacation with my family, I was quite surprised to read excerpts from an interview I gave several weeks ago related to this year's NFL Draft, and I feel compelled to clarify those remarks.
I was asked whether I would have drafted Michael Sam and I answered that would not have drafted him. I gave my honest answer, which is that I felt drafting him would bring much distraction to the team. At the time of my interview, the Oprah Winfrey reality show that was going to chronicle Michael's first season had been announced.
I was not asked whether or not Michael Sam deserves an opportunity to play in the NFL. He absolutely does.
I was not asked whether his sexual orientation should play a part in the evaluation process. It should not.
I was not asked whether I would have a problem having Michael Sam on my team. I would not.
I have been asked all of those questions several times in the last three months and have always answered them the same way—by saying that playing in the NFL is, and should be, about merit.
The best players make the team, and everyone should get the opportunity to prove whether they're good enough to play. That's my opinion as a coach. But those were not the questions I was asked.
What I was asked about was my philosophy of drafting, a philosophy that was developed over the years, which was to minimize distractions for my teams.
I do not believe Michael's sexual orientation will be a distraction to his teammates or his organization.
I do, however, believe that the media attention that comes with it will be a distraction. Unfortunately we are all seeing this play out now, and I feel badly that my remarks played a role in the distraction.
I wish Michael Sam nothing but the best in his quest to become a star in the NFL and I am confident he will get the opportunity to show what he can do on the field.
My sincere hope is that we will be able to focus on his play and not on his sexual orientation.
Conclusion:

Sorry, if I were a football coach, I would not have drafted Sam either. Not because of his homosexuality, or ability/inability to play the game, but because of his desire to have all attention on him and to maximize and play his sexuality into the shame of others...

Yes, SHAME...Michael Sam strategically came out as gay BEFORE the NFL draft in order to make his being gay a human and humanistic issue in exchange for a NFL chance. He focused on his sexual orientation when noone cared although it was speculated. Certainly he may have suffered in the draft by obtaining a lower place, the fact is that all eyes were not on Michael Sam and the NFL would have taken a hit in the socialist media by not drafting him or giving him an opportunity. It was a "PR hot potato" from the day that he was compelled to open up and say that he was gay. All the liberals in the world were calling him "courageous" and claiming that it was "great to have an openly gay NFL football player". One way or another, Sam was getting an NFL chance. Of that there was no doubt.

Further, for an new athlete to have a reality show deal at a time when a coach and team are building and learning one another(and he is not even officially on the team yet)  is more NARCISSISM. I could not in good conscience draft a man who not only poses a disruption in the locker room but a disruption in the way of doing business. There is certainly more to it than who is taking showers with whom and where...(and THAT is a consideration...I wouldn't want any gay gawkers looking at me in the locker room!) There is the continuity of a TEAM and common goal that must be considered, and like any coach Dungy spoke from that place of concern.

Sorry you Christian and bible haters! If you think that Christians hate gays and that the bible endorses gay hate, you are critically deceived and need some sort of lifeline to come back to reality. Our love for God does not diminish the love for humanity, it only orders it placing it in full perspective.

Tony did not mention the bible, he only tries to live out its virtues, and it may be surprising to you to know that there are many more considerations in life than the considerations of those who embrace the sin of homosexuality. We love you, but please don't be upset because we don't encourage, embrace or endorse your lifestyle and we won't be shamed into doing so. Thank you very merch!

Blessed!
