In the post Hip Hop, Idolatry & The Church Pt. 11 I presented the examination of many of the open but yet secret symbols associated within modern hip-hop and rap music.
In my opinion God is revealing the extensiveness of the enemy's plan by raising a generation of people who will be and become "symbol literate", interpreting the true messages behind much of the music and entertainment that we see and observe everyday.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
When the music and videos of Willow Smith is examined, some very powerful information is exposed and some strong symbolism is presented. However, in order to get a full understanding of this and Willow, we must first look at at least some of the major influences in her life beginning with her Mom and more specifically her Dad, educator, actor, philanthropist and hip-hop music mogul and rapper Will Smith.
What Is The Foundation?
First, Will and Jada Smith have been at the center of a controversial school curriculum for a number of years. In 2009, after homeschooling their two children, Jayden and Willow, the Smiths opened a school called the New Village Leadership Academy (NVLA). ABCNews.com reports that NVLA is a private elementary school in Calabasas, Calif., said to have an annual tuition of up to $12,500 annually per student. The controversy however, centers around the school's teaching methodology. The methodology is called "Study Technology" which is a teaching method developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.. Now the Smiths vehemently deny any connection with the promotion of Scientology through their educational system.
"I definitely respect and understand people's curiosity, you know, and well, people, they have to trust me when I speak on my truth. That's really the bottom line"..."I definitely want to make it very clear to everybody that the educational institution that we have, the school that Will and I have, is not a Scientology school,"..and that, I know there's been ... a lot of "buzz" around that idea, and that it is not my desire to ... teach Scientology at all. And that the method of teaching in which we use, y'u-know is a product of L. Ron Hubbard, which a lot of schools in LA use that are not affiliated with Scientology at all. So I just need your audiences to know, that it is not a desire of ours to educate children with Scientology. That is not what Will and I wanna do. Our school is NOT...and I repeat NOT, a Scientology school. ~ Jada Pinkett-Smith NPR 3/19/2009
Jada takes care to outline that the school is not a "Scientology school" while admitting that the teaching method of the school originated at the hands of the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. So, in essence the school is a doorway by which Scientology concepts and methods are used, even if Scientology is not taught. Could this be a distinction without a difference?
What sparks this controversy and gives it fuel is Will Smith's open and unashamed eclecticism. Will views all religions as being 98% in agreement with one another and while never claiming to be a member of the Church Of Scientology, sees and understands Scientology's "benefits" and parallels to Christianity. When asked about what he believes, he has stated:
"I was introduced to it (Scientology) by Tom, and I'm a student of world religion. I was raised in a Baptist household. I went to a Catholic school, but the ideas of the Bible are 98% the same ideas of Scientology, 98% the same ideas of Hinduism and Buddhism." ~ (parenthesis added) Will Smith, NY Daily News.com
OK, aside from the fact that Scientology does not hold to the fact that there is reality apart from the mind and "Thetans", and that there is no Deity called God, how did Will conclude that 98% of religions are the same when this is a 100% difference between Christianity and Scientology to begin with? This is just a flat out untruth if he knows anything about Christianity as he claims and anything about Scientology as he claims. Freedom of worship is fine, however, truth claims should be challenged and his truth claims can be found false as it pertains to 98% of Christianity being in agreement with Scientology or any other religion in which Jesus is not hailed as God. L. Ron Hubbard teaches that Jesus was simply "R6"??? Who is R6? In fact Yahoo Answers.com reports this:
"Scientology asserts that our REAL selves are not our bodies or minds but an eternally existing soul (a Thetan, as Hubbard called it) that resides in body after body over time. This would render the idea of an eternal afterlife quite unnecessary and moot. After a Thetan "Drops the Body" (dies), they are, according to Hubbard, preprogrammed to return to the "implant station" (which could be the "Heaven" describes) where their memories are erased and they are assigned another body.
When Hubbard spoke on the topic of "god", he jokingly postulated a "Big Thetan" but rejected the Christian notion of Yahweh. When it comes to Jesus, Hubbard declared: "The man on the cross; there was no Christ!" and asserted that the ideas of God and Christ are mental implants (he called the implant "R6"). This may be in reference to the Christian messiah or any messiah figure, but regardless, that would rule out Jesus as mankind's savior." ~ Scientology & Christianity
Knowing that Will Smith is not dumb, and knowing that he certainly is educated and versed on what he embraces, he must be relying on the simple nature of an idolatrous audience or following to slide in the lie of the 98%. If that is the case, and considering that Jada is equally as intelligent as Will, we must also assume that she is doing the same sort of reasoning and hoping the same ignorance will greet her statements also. Either way, we cannot reasonably believe their commentary regarding their acceptance, use and promotion of Scientology whether it is in entertainment or education.
When specifically asked if he was a Scientologist, Will has said the following in a more expanded commentary:
"No, but when people are afraid of religion they have to go back and get in touch with the Good Book. Fear of other religions means you're questioning your own understanding, and that's just not where I am." He explains, "I love the nature of humanity's search for meaning. For me I'm certain about my relationship with the model of perfection of human life that's laid out with the life of Jesus Christ. I'm certain of that. I'm at home and not fearful when I sit in a mosque or a synagogue or a Buddhist temple, the same way that I'm home in the Church of Scientology. I like anywhere people are searching for the truth, and I respect their path and I'm intrigued by their path. I think when you are certain in and of what you believe in, you can open your mind to seeing the ways of others." ~ Will Smith SF Gate, San Francisco Chronicle
Will says that he is certain about his relationship with the "model of perfection" of the "human life" that is laid out with the Life of Jesus Christ. ie: Jesus was humanly perfect. What he does not say is telling. He does not affirm that Jesus was deity (God) (Jn. 8:58) In other words we can conclude that he is NOT "comfortable" with the particular assertion and claim that Jesus is Lord or the only "begotten" of the Father. Certainly not equivalent with God.
Pay close attention in this one as we visit a few seemingly unrelated issues. Here is a report:
"Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith and their partners at Overbrook Entertainment have formed a joint-venture with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter to develop and produce major motion pictures. The partnership between Will and Jada and Jay-Z began when the three decided to invest in the beauty line Carol's Daughter. Their next venture together was when they joined forces again to co-produce the Broadway play "Fela!" Since then, Willow Smith, who is managed by Overbrook's Miguel Melendez, has signed to Roc Nation and released first single "Whip My Hair." ~[Billboard]
Until recently Rihanna was a top money maker and was managed by Jay Z and Roc Nation. According to Media Take Out.com that relationship is in the process of being dissolved...or is it? As of 9/14/2011 The Roc Nation web site still proudly displays Rihanna's magazine covers, even if it does not list her as an artist.
Nevertheless, there is a new, younger and better Rihanna in the mix and making as you will see later. Look at who was being groomed and the potential to take over the slot all along:
"Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are planning to produce a remake of the 1982 film "Annie" starring the couple's 10-year-old daughter, Willow. The film, which is based on a Broadway musical, tells the story of an orphan adopted by a wealthy man. Overbrook Entertainment, the Smiths' company, announced today that it had formed a joint venture with rapper Jay-Z to develop and produce "Annie" and potentially other feature films. Jay-Z will serve as a producer on "Annie." ~[Wall Street Journal]
Then from Jay Z himself:
"The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision. We've already produced a Tony Award winning play and we're developing a true superstar in Willow." Overbrook Entertainment has generated more than $2.5 billion in revenue by producing some of Smith's films like "Ali," "Hitch," "Pursuit of Happiness," "I Am Legend" and "The Karate Kid." ~Jay Z -[WNCF TV News]
The question that should be asked is IF Overbrook has been so successful in earning over $2.5 billion already from movies in which Will Smith has been the mainline feature. For those who are math challenged with dollar amounts at these levels (as I am) that is an average of $500,000,000 in average gross earning on the 5 projects named above. Why would the Smith family simply not just continue with the award winning success of Overbrook? Ie: Why does either Willow or Will need Jay Z or Roc Nation? According to Forbes Magazine Jay Z's net worth is approximately $450 Million. Be careful, because that is NOT what he earns annually. That is what he would have if he paid off all his bills and never earned another dollar. What I am pointing to is that the Smith's decision to present Willow to Roc Nation, seems to be based on something more than simply pure economics. She would have done well without Jay Z, or so it seems.
Special Note: His company, Roc Nation, was created out of a 2007 $150 million, 10-year, profit-sharing deal with concert giant Live Nation. This deal does include Jay Z's future recordings.
Maybe it's not that Willow or the Smith family needs Roc Nation...maybe Roc nation needs Willow and the Smith family for continued success and audience appeal in a market where CD sales are dropping like a rock and the market for artists is shrinking. Follow the money, for the love of it is the ROOT of ALL EVIL( 1 Tim. 6:10):
"Willow Smith (who coincidentally is not a teen) hit the jackpot last year after releasing her hit record, 'Whip My Hair'. While her 13-year old brother Jaden Smith banked a cool $5 million bucks for his lead role in the film, 'The Karate Kid', Willow was close behind, making $4 million off of her hit single, 'Whip My Hair.' Willow brought in $4 million which puts her earnings close to artists who actually released albums last year, including Nicki Minaj and B.o.B. Willow's $4 million means that with the release of the one song (and a less successful one that followed), she earned $2 million less than Rick Ross, 50 Cent, and Pitbull did for the entire year." [Necole Bitchie]
OK, get the picture...Willow is an upcoming and untainted MONEY MAGNET earning $6 million from 2 songs. She is only $2 Million off pace of her adult conterparts on CD sales and hasn't even made a complete album. Further Will Smith is the owner and President of "Spooky Girl Inc." who contracts with Roc Nation. One of Spooky Girl's artist and employees is Willow Smith. Roc Nation contracts with Spooky Girl Inc "for exclusive recording and entertainment services of Willow Smith." There is all kinds of protection for Willow in this agreement just based on the surface which I don't have time to go into in this article.
Coming In For A Landing
I've gone a long way to bring us to this place so that you can have a full understanding as you examine the meaning of Willows videos. There are 2 videos that have been analyzed by You Tuber ceasey0xoogurl . I would like to commend her for her work and analysis on all of the videos that she undertakes.
The first is, "Whip My Hair":
Keep in mind that a woman's hair is her glory (1 Cor. 11:15) to "whip it" is certainly a misuse of it. This is the aim, emphasis and the point of the song in general in my opinion.
This song was Willow's most popular and is full of signs, symbols and messages. Kids jump out of their seat to shake their heads in a frenzy with this song. The actions however, display themselves to be a form of demonic possession rather than a form of dance especially toward the end of the video. Back masking has been done to the song also. Back masking is a technique where subliminal messages are inserted into songs and are normally revealed when it is played backward usually at slower speeds. If you notice, most standard CD players and DVD's do not have this ability included. So the average person will be totally unaware that any such thing exists. This is in line with the song. The back masked elements are at the end of the post.
The second song is "21st Century Girl".
This is another seemingly harmless song on the appearance. However this song when combined with the video displays magic, sorcery, divination, and mind control elements through transformation of dirt into a monarch butterfly. This song lines up with many of the mind control elements of Scientology and in my opinion reflects more of the spiritual and closely held beliefs that she has been taught.

Educate & Equip Your Children
Lk. 8:16-18 ~ 16-No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in -see the light. 17-For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. 18-Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
The only remedy to any of this, of course, is by intervention of the Holy Ghost and and education. The perish perish for a lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:5-6) We must educate our children as to what is really going on here and use the opportunity to send the message that we are not animals as the "spiritual wickedness in high places" seems to claim that we are through the messages in these videos and others. Do I think that Willow is evil...NOT FOR A MINUTE! By all accounts she is a beautiful little girl, however, the Spirit behind a thing has no boundaries and as we can see. We are not wrestling against or with flesh and blood. (Ephes. 6:12) She is not in control of her actions as she is a minor. The problem is that she is being led into something that is rooted in spirituality and for a purpose far beyond her at the present.
As I have stated elsewhere in this series, many of these moves are beyond the artist to know the serious spiritual implications. However, these artists are not ignorant to what is transpiring, especially them that are holding the purse. With all the rumors of satanic CD release parties, we know that there is a strong spiritual implication in the midst of what we call the music industry. We cannot afford to be overly simplistic in our approach and we must become symbol literate without becoming symbol obsessed. That is the fine line. We must become enlightened, but we cannot be overcome to think that the enemy is winning in any wise. We've already read the end of the book and know exactly what to do to break the power and control of the enemy off of our spirits.
