Gen. 1:26-28 ~ "26-And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27-So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28-And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Understandably, the critics of the church, claim that homosexuality is normal or simply a diversity within all of God's creation. The reason I say that this is understandable, is not because such sentiments are material facts, but rather from a psychological point of view, noone wants to be considered "not normal" or part of something "aberrant" even if that is something is of a sexual nature. Many individuals have a hard time reconciling the fact that we are imperfect and that imperfection is because of sin, not because of how God has created us. In addition it takes a lot to have lived a particular way from day to day and be confronted with thoughts that you have lived "wrongly" or contrary to the will of God or unpleasing to God in any way. These are real human psychological obstacles and emotions and attitudes that the church must be willing and ready to acknowledge and minister to.

This is why the the Chair of Exodus International board of directors, and founder of GenesisCounseling, and former homosexual, Joe Dallas, has continued to deliver a steady stream of information to the church designed to help it minister to homosexuals and those coming out of the homosexual lifestyle. In addition Joe has successfully continued to deliver biblically centered teachings toward geared toward debunking heretical teachings prevalent within society and the gay affirming church which pronounces that the bible endorses homosexuality. Joe's primary message is that those who are homosexuals and ministries ministering to homosexuals, are not alone in dealing with these issues and that there are ample resources available to help individuals free themselves of homosexual addiction and sexual addiction in general. Joe sums up his drive to teach and write in the following manner:
"Working with people who want their lives conformed to God's will is one of life's greatest honors. Seeing that work bear fruit is one of life's greatest joys"As stated Joe WAS a homosexual and also advocated for homosexual causes and the gay agenda and is very familiar with the current scriptural misinterpretations and and social and political agendas spearheading the homosexual rights movement. There Is A Right Way
In the middle of a teaching on divorce and remarriage, Jesus reaffirmed the "right way" of God ordained intimate relationship:
Matt. 19:3-6 ~ "3-The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4-And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5-And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6-Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
Using Genesis 2:24 as his proof text, in one fell swoop, Jesus reaffirmed that the original intent of marriage and relationships were not only ordained by God, but also between ONE man and ONE woman (not a multitude of women and or men as found within polygamy or other deviant relationships), and that the marital union between a man and a woman union was not to be "put asunder" by anyone simply because they chose to do so out of either convenience or cultural conformity.
Do We Really Believe?
Do We Really Believe?
If it is true that we believe that God's word is both infallible and eternal and that men are truly unevolved beings created by God in HIS image, then we are left with many issues that can only be reconciled in a biblical manner and with a biblical world-view. First, we are confronted with the understanding that God through the text of scripture, has not only spoken historically, but also pertinently to modern culture and that God's word is indeed eternal or without time or cultural or societal constraint. Secondly, if we truly believe the bible we also must be committed to the understanding that God, and not man, is responsible for objective morality as the morality of man is only subjective. Therefore HIS standards are the ones that we adhere to. Third, we are confronted with the fact that man is not an evolved being and that he is not biologically evolving into unisex beings as often portrayed in modern science fiction, and that he has set clear boundaries around sex and sexual activity outside of marriage.
That there is a right way is only disputed by them that either have a lack of understanding regarding this truth or by them that reject the truth for whatever reason. For those who have a lack of understanding on both sides of the issue, ministries such as that of Joe Dallas are of vital importance in filling in the gaps, answering questions and debunking cultural lies and myths that are prevalent in modern society regarding this and other issues about sexuality. This ministry also stands strong in combating the lies of the homosexual advocates seeking to pervert the word of God, damaging souls of individuals who wish to leave homosexuality but that don't have adequate support.
Ministries such as this and that of Elder D.L. Foster of GCMWatch offer individuals a solid biblical foundation and real spiritual help in dealing with issues pertaining to homosexuality and cultural perversions associated with it. There is help and there is healing and freedom from sin.
Blessed!

Thank you Pastor for recognizing Joe Dallas in this article. His teaching and the way he communicated it in the biblical context truly impacted me when I heard him speak for the first time in 1998 in Seattle. I had just started out in ministry and he really set the mold for me. I had never seen a person like me (as a former homosexual) who was so grounded and I loved how he dismantled the convoluted logic of the gay christian movement with such seeming ease.
ReplyDeleteHis books and teachings are an arsenal of truth and if the church could just see that GOD has given us solutions already, this issue of homosexuality would not have the prominence it has in our churches.
Thanks again for highlighting him and his labor for the Lord Jesus.
Blessings!
GcmWatch,
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend. Mr. Dallas's material is fantastic, well reasoned, spiritual and well thought out.
Anyone delivering the "fools gold" of homosexual inclusion to the church as a standard according to God's word is either simply deceived by the devil or blinded by their own ignorance. There's no two ways about it.
