This is in part from my Facebook posting on the issue. I have added some additional thoughts below:
"This was NBC Nightly News on the subject this evening (5/9/2016)
First the argument is wrong and is cast for public opinion and not a true examination of how the issue effects society and women in particularly. It is shameful of the news and is tantamount to propaganda.
The argument is actually about saying that being a woman is a myth or even folklore and that any rights that she would or could have by being a woman are optional and further based on myth.
If a man can achieve the same rights given to a woman by law, then being a woman counts for very little. If a man can simply wake up or decide to "feel" like a woman and therefore receive all rights and privileges afforded to a woman under the law, including access to a restroom or locker room designed for and designated for her, then her identity is a myth. It, (the identity of a woman) is a fictitious fairy tale based on the whim of a man. For this reason alone every woman's group should be up in arms.
For a man to be told that he can assume rights of protection under the law that a woman has naturally and by birth, simply because he gains the "feeling" of being a woman is the most offensive element of the government's so called argument and the homosexual, obviously anti-woman movement, backing them.
The average homosexual may have no such intent. However the lobby backing them and the transgender acceptance movement is an extremist group and their intents are clear.
Secondly, by affording protections to a class if people, not by how they were born, but by how they choose to live life, is further the opposite of everything that Civil Rights has stood for in this country and around the world. To equate the denial of gender to the fight for rights based on skin color and the unchanging and undeniable factors associated with it should further be offensive to every Black and other person of color around the world as well.
Finally, to fail to protect children from having to be confronted with the personal habits of the opposite sex in public restroom settings, including the potential exposure to genitalia of the opposite sex in locker rooms and other places of public gathering, is beyond ridiculous.
The Attorney General's statements directed by President Obama, are beyond belief. Their statement affirms that they would rather protect and stand with those who would affirm the rights of persons assuming their rights based on "feelings" rather than those who have rights based on either natural law or bona-fide gender differences.
This is a farce and something that should be opposed by every rational human being."Additional Thoughts
Obviously, we can't expect Washington to get together and place this issue in proper perspective. We have Presidential candidates that are confused on the issue (Trump) and others that have done more to promote the homosexual agenda than almost any other political figures in history (Clinton).
The church is currently vacillating between how to manage its position in society and how to be faithful to the word. The problem is that "faithfulness to the word' is a negotiable position under current church leadership. The church's position in society was never meant to be "managed" or maintained by its leadership to be "acceptable" or "palatable" to the world. The church was to be clearly and distinctively for God, HIS word and HIS agenda. The church is going directly and proportionally the opposite as the world and is the ONLY preserver of the world and all that goes on in it.
Without imploring biblical values on this issue, we would have men with unrestricted and unfettered access to women's restrooms and locker rooms in the name of "equality". You mean to tell me that the world is so blinded by their sins that they can't perceive the problems and significant issues with that?
Jesus said this plainly:
John 15:19 ~ If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
He said later in John
John 17:13-19 ~ 13-And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14-I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15-I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16-They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17-Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18-As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19-And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
John was so convinced of this essential truth of Jesus he went on to say this:
1 John 2:15 ~ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
In these passages it should be made abundantly clear that Jesus was not talking about the sun, moon, stars or material universe. He was not talking about not loving relationships and fellowships with one another. He was talking about the prevailing philosophical basis and social rudiments among people that rebel against God, who he is and his character and nature.
This "rebellion" and refusal to acknowledge that there is a right and a wrong and a way or path in life that blesses and one that also curses, is what Jesus calls "the world". Those are the things, the thoughts the human constructs of morality that are contrary to God and as such are not ready or desiring to receive or be subject to God. these are the things that the church and believers have been instructed to not "love" and or attach itself to.
Business Connections & Social Relevance
Led by those with a radical pro-gay agenda, the business community has arisen to say that it wants to direct the morality of a nation and its customers. The problem is that like a snake the business community has wrapped itself around the church so tightly, until now the church is not self sustaining, but is tied to the business community by way of support. eg: The church NEEDS the business community to fund its programs.
This is ridiculous! God NEVER called the church to depend upon the business community for its material support. The business community represents "the word". Secular corporations are what they are, secular corporations. A place where secular ideas and ventures come together. It is not a place that preserves the mission of the Gospel or what is morally right or correct spiritually. I will touch on this in another post where we look at the national relationships that church have made with business, many of the same business that have come against the state of North Carolina and other venues in which the people have sought to protect its citizens, women's rights and children in public restrooms and locker rooms.
one thing is for sure, the church, the TRUE church, has its work cut out for itself. Forget about a position among men. We need a position before God and that position is in prayer, fasting and intercession for a blinded world eager to lead others into their destruction.

Blessed!
