Psychic Readings, The Confused & The Powerless

Deut. 18:20-22 ~ 20-But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21-And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22-When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Of late there has been a huge controversy over the apparent fraud perpetrated by one "Prophet" Brian Carn. Evidently, Mr. Carn took it upon himself to use a prediction of a psychic in a 2015 New Year's Eve service in which he rendered, nearly verbatim, predictions from the psychic, claiming that he was speaking from, or had received his words from the Lord. Not only did he use the psychic words, but nearly none of the so called "prophecies" came to pass. All of this is problematic and calls into question Mr. Carn's credibility not only as a prophet, but also as a servant of God.

Evidently, Carn recently called the actions of LeAndria Johnson into question I suppose calling on pastors to boycott her ministry. This evoked quite a carnal response from Lexi "Holy Ghost Enforcer" Allen, who berated Carn, calling him 'Nigga" and saying that LeAndria was "my girl" and that he had no business even speaking negatively against her. (See video below)

Well, the fact is that as I have discussed HERE, LeAndria openly lies on God, as she has stated that God told her to pass out cigarettes, and condoms and allows her to cuss, drink and other things all the while leading souls to Christ, Carn isn't right in that he has proven himself to be a false prophet by lieing on God using a psychic's words, and Lexi, at a minimum, is wrong, and is endorsing evil by supporting the sin and carnality of her friend LeAndria simply because she a singer that she knows.

The Son Of Sceva ministry (Acts 19) permeates all of their actions. Even seeing what is wrong, NONE of them have any power to do anything about it, so they resort to CARNALITY!

First...God has not used nor authorized neither sin nor psychics to lead and or show the way of God to HIS servants.

Biblically, the practice of using psychics and mediums between the dead and the living was known as "peeping and muttering". It seems that there were two related practices. One in which the medium would conjure up what are called "familiar spirits" (Heb. "OB" or bottled spirits") or a spirit guide to consult regarding specific things. Most of the time these were simply magic tricks and there was no authenticity to the events. There was also another practice in which spirits would tell the individuals certain things. This practice was more closely associated with ventriloquism in which the crowd experienced hearing what they thought was a spirit's voice emanating from the ground or certain objects.

Either way, this is also what psychics do. Whether authentic or for trickery, this practice, and other related practices was thoroughly condemned in the word of God.
Lev. 19:31 ~ “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the LORD your God. (ESV)
Specifically, it was these practices, in conjunction with others, that cause the Lord to turn against the inhabitants of Canaan and that caused God to give the land to the Jews. The people of God were prohibited from following their practices:
Deut. 18:10-12 ~ 10-There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, orthat useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11-Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12-For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Unfortunately, none of the commands of the Lord stopped the people from looking to psychics for answers. In 1 Sam 28:7-8, King Saul called for the use of a medium when he was unsure of the will of the Lord, and his closest confidant's knew where a practicing witch was located.

In fact when things became so bad, that the people opened themselves up to false teaching and to these who divined familiar spirits. Hundreds of years later, when god wasn;t saying what they wanted to hear, the people would simply consult a medium who would tell them "good lies" and make them feel better. Yet they were still condemned. We note Isaiah the Prophet, who only spoke by the inspiration and authority of God, challenging the people:
Isaaih 8:19-20 ~ 19-And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? 20-To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Unlike the psychic, the Prophet of God was 100% accurate, 100% of the time.
Jer. 28:29 ~ The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.
The prophet of God needed no mediums, did not listen to or seek voices that were nof God and placed his confidence in the Lord to do what he said he would do, even if he did not live to see it.

For Lexi
1 Tim. 5:22 ~ Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, nor take part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.
Neither the sins of Carn, nor LeAndria are acceptable to the Lord. Both condemn themselves by their continued actions and falsehoods and they will not only stand before God, but they will stand before men in judgement.(1 Cor. 6)  What makes topics such as these so uncomfortable for us, is that we are overwhelmed with the sins of the masses. However, all the sin of the world does not exempt the one sin that the least of us do. We ALL have an individual responsibility and accountability to the Lord and NO, God is not the only one that can judge us.

The best that we can do for Carn and LeAndria is tell BOTH that they are wrong, and God is not pleased with their sins. To tell folk to be silent about one of their sins, is to accept the sins of both...In fact, if one of their sins are more palatable than the other, there can be nothing to complain about or talk about and all things are on the same level and the greatest wrong that either of them do is right.

That is NOT the case. These weak and false leaders will be held equally responsible for the damage they do and have done to the kingdom. Both Carn and LeAndria lie on God and confuse people that follow them. This is blasphemous and among the highest offences to God.

The problem is not their sin, the problem is their refusal to come out of their sins and to rationalize it away and even blame their condition on God which is something that both Carn and LeAndria continue to do. In fact, if one were to listen to both Carn and LeAndria, you will hear them blame God for their condition. Carn was "too young" and "gave everything up", whereas LeAndria had a "rough life". Therefore both of them use their history as an excuse for their condition. Their struggle is not with men or mankind, both of their struggles are with God. I believe both of them are boarderline non-believers!

So the video, though meant to stand for a cause is misdirected. None of us love what is going on, but we dare not candy-coat any of it, unless God calls us into account and HIS judgments are NEVER wrong!

Blessed!

  1. Jamaal Bryant, in his retort on this, basically states that no one would have known, if they did not know the psychic. Making it the fault of the one who made the association. He also claims that "God has perfected our dysfunction",,,,WHAT THE WORLD IS THAT???? It is NOT bible!!!!

The BIBLE states that our SIN will find us out (Num. 32:23) the FAULT is NOT with who found the association. What if God revealed the association just like he "revealed" phone numbers of people in Carn's audience? Are these folk IDIOTS are just stuck on spiritual STUPID?!?!

    CAN''T BELIEVE THIS mess!!!!

    1. Agreed Supt Burnett. Bryant blames a "nosey" (watchful) person in his analogy. If that same "nosey" servant identified a their during his offering, would he make the same assessment?? I don't think so. Also, what godly purpose is there in a audience member's phone number being revealed to the prophet? In that "word of knowledge"?? Sounds more like "mind reading" or "street magic". Is that closer to sorcery,,

    2. Yes, that is sorcery...When we look at what the devil knows, he knows a lot...in fact scripture says he knows Jesus...fears and trembles, but he "knows" him. What we do is look for a "trick" in order to authenticate the move of God. God doesn't deal in tricks. He performs miracles and they aren't a dime a dozen. He moves among his people and speaks to their hearts, not recite their phone number...Look, Jesus said, "my sheep hear my voice and a stranger they will not follow" (Jn. 5:10)

When the Lord speaks, he is not using anything that has to do with Sprint, AT&T or Verizon or anything else. He will call to ME and I will hear him. People are easily seduced similar to how Simon Magus seduced Samaria. I'm like that old secular song though..."I can't go for that!"

      LOL!!!!

  2. BRYANT with his 48 hour watch is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Nobody cares about the video...throw it out for a minute...Bryant STILL spoke FALSELY and what he said was NOT from God as god does not LIE!!!!! What can Carn say in 48 hours that will excuse his lies. Whether a psychic said it first or not, which I believe she did, doesn't matter...

Now, if Carn is claiming that HIS video was manipulated and that he did not preach or say those words...that is his only defense...Otherwise...REPENT!!!!! Go back to God and do you FIRST WORKS over, because YOU ARE EXPOSED AS A LYING PROPHET!!!!!

  3. We have all spoken well and soundly.... u won't know much about prophecies save u are a prophet. Prophecies... even in the scriptures are not absolute, they are subject to changes... Consider Jonahs prophecy.... consider the prophecy to Hezekiah... Consider Agabus prophecy in the new testament... they never happened as prophesied... U know y? When prophecies of doom are released against people, places... etc... and the people repent and have a change of heart... such prophecies of doom won't come true. And a novice... that doesn't understand prophetic patterns, will think the prophet missed it.... No... He didn't miss nothing.... rather... some of those prophecies never came to pass because people made certain adjustment.

Prophet Brian Carn is on point.... he hasn't missed anything.

  4. Now, those are very good points, and I think we should examine them from a scriptural standpoint as you have injected scripture in support of your position which is appreciated.

I think there are a few principles that we should view and see how they intermingle with God's spoken prophetic utterance. I would hold that your view, is not, nor was ever accepted among the people who interpreted God's word aka: The Jews. While that is not the definitive word on the subject, I thin we should look at the reasons why.

    1- God DOES NOT change!
Mal. 3:6 ~ For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
This means that the character, nature and intents of the Lord are unchanging. God is always who he says he is. Under no circumstance does he deviate from his nature and or being.

2- Although God modifies his dealings with people based on people's response to him, he never changes his or deviates from his ultimate goal or statments.
James said that there is no "variableness" or "shadow of change" within HIM, (Jam. 1:17) meaning that what he has said that he will do, he will perform. He does not "repent" as to change (Num. 23:19, 1 Sam. 15:29)

    Looking at Jonah and Hezekiah

You brought up the fact that when Ninevah repented, God did not destroy them. When Hezekiah prayed, God did not kill him. He, God, changed his word in both cases. At least so it seems when the previous points are not thoroughly considered or weighed. One must look to the character of God for an answer.

First, is it God's character to destroy the repentant? What we see God doing is modifying his way of dealing with man based on their response to HIM. We also see the same in other events, such as when Moses negotiated with God to spare the people (Deut. 19:13, Ex. 32:11) , and when Abraham negotiated with God to spare Sodom based on the number of righteousness. (Gen. 18)

Nahum 1:8 actually gives us what happened to Nineveh and their ultimate destruction. this occurred in approximately 612 BC. Jonah actually pronounced his 40 day judgement upon Ninevah in about 862BC. This was approximately 350 years after the initial prophecy.

By grace, the word of God was delayed, but God did not change from what he said he would do. As I stated, the whole event alluded to HIS nature of Compassion, Grace and Mercy that we see in Jesus. Jesus himself said that his coming was likened to the "sign of Jonah". (Mt. 12:39) The lesson aim was to display the mercy, kindness and salvation of God. YET, God accomplished what he promised by bringing about judgement. If not upon those who repented, upon those who did not continue in repentance.

So Jonah's prophecy was not fulfilled in his lifetime, but it was fulfilled. It was also greater than even Jonah knew or anticipated that it would be. If Nineveh had never been destroyed, we can say that Jonah lied and thus had not received a word from the Lord. However, Nineveh is destroyed, even though it experienced the mercy and Grace of God.

Similarly, Jesus prophesied against the temple, claiming that it and all stones containing it would be cast down. (Mk. 13:2. Mt. 24:2, Lk. 21:6). Jesus dies in about 33AD. The prophecy was fulfilled by Titus in 70AD. The word outlived Jesus, but it was fulfilled.

What you are saying is that you can see God totally not doing what he said he was going to do and still yet telling the truth. THAT is NOT God. What he says he fulfills. He cannot lie! Even though he can have mercy, he cannot fundamentally do anything contrary to his nature.

  5. Hezekiah is in a similar predicament. Isaiah pronounces that he would pass and to set his house in order. (Isa. 38:1, 2 Kings 20:1) Hezikiah turns his face towards the wall and asks God for mercy and grace. (Is. 38:2) Before Isaiah could make it out of the court, God alters his message and makes an agreement with Hezekiah, even turning back time as evidence of HIS promise. However, 15 years later...Hezekiah dies!

God did not say he was killing Hezekiah for any evil or for any retribution of divine judgement. He simply announced his death. However. God also displayed his mercy upon Hezekiah and extended his life based upon Hezekiah's request.

Did God violate his nature? NO. Did he violate his word? NO. Did he change his mind and spare the life of Hezikiah perpetually? NO.

God performed his word. He did not change it although he changed the way he dealt with men according to HIS word.

So can we claim that Isaiah's word was false? NO!...If Hezekiah had never died...let's say he was translated like Elijah, then he would have been a false prophet.

Then you mention Agabus. Well his prophecy came to pass according to the scriptures itself:

Acts 11:27-28 ~ 27-And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. 28-And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

He appears again in Acts 21: 9-11 ~ 9-And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. 10-And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11-And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

That began to be fulfilled later in the same chapter, Acts. 21:27 when Paul was seized. He would later be brought up before the Gentiles as he himself appealed to Caesar.(Acts 25:21) and he was under house arrest during this time eg: BOUND!

So there is no false prophecy there either and We see God doing what he said he would do.

In short, God does not lie. Carn not only spoke saying that God said, what he spoke did not come to pass and aside from all that, what he said appears to have come from a spurious source such as a psychic.

He lied...it's a wrap my friend. I don't see any reason or biblical explanation for him or in regards to this mess.

  6. Why is this young lady being validated? Have you seen her commentary on the church in her youtube videos? It is appauling. She is an example of someone, besides this instance, who is speaking things they should not. She is doing more harm with her youtube commentary or the church than helping. So what is the purpose, was she hurt by the church in a prior incident in some way? She should be quiet really. All people who are not helping the cause of the universal church should be quiet.

  7. Agreed! She takes no responsibility for anything...it's all about what others have done. Sad!
