Titus 1:10-16 ~ 10- For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11- Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. 12- One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13- This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; 14- Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. 15- Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 -They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
That statement is no more apparent than when we look at what is perpetrating and passing itself off to be the modern "church". I suppose it has always been like this. Early on Judaizers were trying to convert believers back into Jewish ritualism for salvation (Acts 15). Later gnostics such as Hymenaeus and Philetus who left the faith, tried to reinvent the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles claiming that either the resurrection had passed or that there was no physical or bodily resurrection because, according to them, the physical body was too evil to resurrect. (2 Tim. 2:18) False teachings were so prevalent until Apostle John warned that we should not "believe every spirit" but "try the spirit" whether it was of God. (1 John 4:1).
Quite naturally, to "try the spirit" did not mean to use an arbitrary standard to measure the spirit. That would be futile. There must be an objective and steadfast standard whereby the spirit could be tried. That standard would and can only be the word of God and the truth as God has revealed in various ways throughout human experience. Anything that would violate what God has set forth would and should be "tried" as being not of God, lacking and even contrary to truth.
I only say that for the benefit of all them that think that "trying the spirit" is not what we are supposed to do, and that saying and speaking TRUTH is something that is damaging to the church rather than helpful. If we can't say and agree with truth, then what are we doing? If we can't then tell the truth, then NONE of us have anything to say worth listening to.
With that said...and as of this writing:
LeAndria Johnson who calls herself a pastor AIN'T saved. In fact she needs to repent and do her first works over again. Sorry critic, and I don't mean to be mean; believe me, I feel for her, her past and experience, but SHE has made her own decisions and continues to do so. She can blame no one for any of the wrong that she is embracing. LeAndria sends a horrible message that any lifestyle is acceptable as long as the name "Christ" is placed on it. those of us who know the TRUTH, must say something because thousands are being confused, duped and deceived by her ungodly actions. It doesn't matter, how much anyone may like her singing and rooted for her to win Sunday's Best. Unfortunately, LeAndria AIN'T saved and proves it by her own actions and words!
Ordinary People?
Claiming that she is just an ordinary person leading other ordinary people and "changing the game" LeAndria, who pastors a church she calls IPC Ministries (Imperfect People Changing the Game) has not only had a 4th child but that particular child was also born out of wedlock in late 2012. This is said to have been with her church musician boyfriend (just as much to blame for the shame....wonder will they get married or what?)...Now, the struggle in life of being twice divorced is not an issue for me. After pastoring for the years that I have, I understand and don't lay the guilt or blame at LeAndria's feet for a failed marriage. Truth is I don't know what happened and certainly can't blame her for what happened in her past.
However, I do blame her because she has taken things to a new low, by passing any form of public repentance for her fornication off, and going straight into what she calls "ministry". This was obviously and openly played out in front of all of us and all we had to do was look and see. Yet, when she got pregnant, many folk were simply touting, "ooh how cute" and don't judge, just love"...See that weak sentiment and message opened the door to even greater and more open apostasy and those that failed to help her then, by failing to speak up and out have done her a GREAT disservice because she has flew off the deep end of sin and is in greater trouble. While many of them, even in holiness, were endorsing the pregnancy, Paul, the same one who wrote so eloquently about "love", had also written this FIRST:
1 Cor. 5:9-11 ~ 9- I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10- Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11- But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
While she was being paraded on stages, in the name of the Lord, the SCRIPTURE was condemning of the embracing of the lifestyle that led her to the open shame. That was not just for her, but for the man as well, whom is also supposedly a church musician. BOTH should be shamed of their actions, if it were not for the fact that actions along these lines and even worse are so prevalent in today's church.
However, this is what sin will do, especially when those who could help, stand, and speak against such acts, do nothing. LeAndria, is now dragging all of them that support her into an even new LOWER level LOW by handing out cigarettes to those to whom she is claiming to "minister" to:
"I'm a pastor and I'm lit up. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, you wanna smoke? You want a cigarette? Aiight, this what we do...this is Marlboro Light, I'll light it, hold up...we lit up honey, we just out here, these last three nights out here, here's a book about God, we out here trying to change lives. We ain't talking about the outter appearance, we talkin' 'bout the inside of man, that's what we out here for. That's all, this is what we do, this is real church. We gonna come out here lit up already, passin out cigarettes, we just minister to you like, listen, God ain't worried 'bout all this, he worried 'bout the heart" ~ "pastor" LeAndria Johnson (VIDEO LINK)
Now, if she will pass out cigarettes, she will pass out cocaine, meth and whatever else. What, under this methodology will stop her?
The greater problem (as if that wasn't problem enough) is that LeAndria, has not been delivered of her sins and ills herself. Associated Press contributor, Johnathan Landrum Jr. after interviewing LeAndria 4/13/2012, reported the following:
"She earned a recording contract after her victory, performed on the network's 'Celebration of Gospel' and was on her way to gospel stardom, but Johnson still didn't want to swear off worldly habits such as going out to the nightclub, drinking alcohol or smoking. At one point, she felt like she couldn't live up to the standards expected for an inspirational singer."
Although LeAndria said that she didn't feel comfortable in the club, she has confessed to have not overcome the world nor the power of it. In the video she is seen smoking a cigarette and no telling what else after the camera stopped rolling. This is a problem.
Now, if by any stretch of the imagination that you, saying that you are saved, do not see and understand the problem with the lifestyle that LeAndria embraces and now her so called "church" and "game changing" efforts...we can pray for you too.
It is all but too obvious that she has decided to stop trying or seeking change and has settled to make others comfortable in their sins. This is ATROCIOUS! Her mind has not been transformed and there she has no victory over sin in her flesh. She is simply unregenerate.
Changing The "Game"?
The title of her "ministry" (Changing The Game) displays that she believes that serving the Lord is some type of "game". A "Game" of "street credibility" either taking or being took. This speaks to her view of the church and there well may be reason for that.
As stated previously, for many, the church is a game. Many of the star preachers have treated it like one and some of the members have as well. We have men who fleece the flock, women who will only have a preacher who can pay the bills (married or not) and a host of confusion and sometimes this is all in one place and at one time...so there is a "game" being played....it's the game of sin, unrighteousness and final judgement in hell. On second thought, that is no game either...
BIBLICAL Christianity is NOT a game either. It is a lifestyle. It is a way to honor God and seek to please HIM will all that we have and serve and honor HIM with our whole hearts. See, many of us came from "the game" of the streets and say BYE-BYE to it and neither want it or anything that resembles it anymore...This is not a GAME to any of us who have been transformed by the renewing of our minds (Rom.12:2)
This is the problem. When the church accepts this and actions like this as a way to "minister to the lost" it has accepted another gospel that is powerless to change hearts and minds and meet men and women at the point of their needs. Giving a sinner a cigarette or a drink is NOT meeting their needs. That is called being the partaker of another man's sins, and there is judgement for that. (1 Tim.5:22)
LeAndria's story is a modern church tragedy and acceptance of her as a "ministry" to any degree is even worse. I pray that God will have mercy on LeAndria and all of those close to her who fail to take a stand and demand that she see the truth. I believe God has called her...but HIS first call is for her to be SAVED! That is the REAL Game Changer!!!!

Sometimes people do not realize that when they are hurting and they do not try to fix it, it can turn into something very damaging internally and to the people around them. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Leandra has decided to turn her ‘hurt’ into a ‘ministry’. This is just really sad. I am so grieved by what people do in the name of ‘God’ these days as Christ is typically left out of the picture. This is what happens when sin is silenced and we ‘just pray’. How do we expect to have an impact on the world when we allow such foolishness to continue in the body of Christ? Why would an unsaved person want to join the ‘church’? What is the point? If you continue to be you and do what you do, then why is there a need for God? Shouldn’t he have already accepted me if he already agrees with what I do? Based on her philosophy, I am already ok and living right so I don’t need her church because I already have God.
ReplyDeleteNo need for bible, true understanding of scripture. You know, nowadays, many believe we are so much smarter than those that came before us that we don’t need their interpretation of the bible because we are on another level. When in reality, the majority are deceived. It is just so sad and disheartening. God help us. Many will quote Be ye transformed…but few really want to live it. It is just something that sounds good. I mean, if you don’t realize the impact of being a single parent with multiple fathers is doing to your life and to the lives of your children and think that you should just go on and do what you do and live how you want to live, and then on top of that lead a ministry…wow, deception in full effect! My favorite line of any song comes from amazing grace, I once was blind, but now I see. My, my, my how great the darkness.
Now you write this blog, and many ‘christians’ will send you comments and curse you out for asking questions and coming against something that is antichrist simply because she has become someone very important to them, or an idol, and why? Because she sings well, won an event, etc.? Whenever someone has become so important to us that we will allow them to do anything, regardless of whether it aligns with the bible or not, we really need to consider our alignment with them because that causes us to operate against Christ (i.e. cussing out someone with whom you disagree). I continue to be amazed at what is now accepted as ‘christian’. I just want them to stop stamping ministry on it and just call it a flesh gathering, club, social organization, etc. because that is all it is. So to the alcoholic or club goers, will she walk up with a 40?

'tis true. People have set up their own idols and are worshiping them no matter what anyone else says...Stand for something or fall for anything. Then I wonder, who and what type of persons are following this mess? SMH!!!!
DeleteI think she's a product of the sordid condition the church is in. There's such an emphasis on talent in churches. I mean singing is given more attention than the word in most services. You get to even sing or lead a solo at the pulpit. I feel sad for her--because I think she's recognized the bankruptness of whatever false gospel she was given and is trying to revise or compensate by combining it with worldy methods.
ReplyDeleteNow i mention that there must be some false gospel that she has accepted; because the beauty of the real gospel is that it can change lives, keep you out of a man's who is not your husband's bed, keep you away from smoking and the likes. I saw that video and I was hurt--because the brother she was speaking to, clearly, visibly had a serious ailment spiritually--homosexuality is no joke and to think that here's someone who needs a life-changing solution is only given some pitch for some church that he'll likely visit but God never visits--is horrific. Jesus said it best, 'The blind leading the blind.'
