Apostates, Heretics, & False Doctrines II

Apostasy/Heresy Central: "Jesus Was Spoken Into Existence"

What amazes me is the sheer volumes of individuals who can't identify false doctrine. For a babe in Christ I certainly understand this dilemma and am here to hopefully encourage your spiritual growth and add a dimension of discernment to your spiritual walk. The problem is that we are seeing more and more of  individuals who have supposedly been around church, attending bible studies, listening to the preached message for years and who still yet don't know how to identify false doctrine or either just don't care.

False Teachers And Heretical Teaching

In the following video, I don't know which to be more incensed by; the preacher spouting off what is clearly false doctrine, or the people that are sitting, cheering, praising and seemingly eating up every word? In my opinion, both are in a desperate situation.

Dr. Mark Chironna, who seems to be an open repository of false and non-biblical claims, has done it once again. Listen for yourself as Dr. Chironna claims that Jesus was "spoken into existence" when God said "let there be light" in Genesis 1:11. This is truly unbelievable from anyone calling themselves a Christian. I mean I would expect to hear something like this from a Jehovah's Witness or even a Mormon, but certainly not a Christian. Which makes me wonder, does Mark Chironna claim to be a Christian minister?

(Click the read more tab for the video)

Listen, for any Mark Chironna followers, or for those who think they have benefited from Dr. Chironna's teaching, I take no joy in bringing these false doctrines and practices to light. I simply ask that his followers actually place the teaching of scripture higher than the charisma of Chironna, ask him to repent, and help him to cease preaching non-biblical doctrine. the only way I know to get his attention towards this is by not sowing your money into assuming that it's blessed by God!

The sad part to this is that it displays that neither the minister not the audience have any biblical knowledge. IF Jesus was spoken into existence he could not and would not have been eternal as God. however he is eternal and he is God.

Maybe We Should Examine What Jesus Didn't Do:

1- Jesus didn't simply switch hats in varying modes from the Father, to the Son to the Holy Ghost. That sort of teaching is called Sabellianism or modalism and is not a scriptural concept of God nor the relationship between God the Father and God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. This is commonly known as "Jesus Only" teaching and what we find among Apostolic and "oneness" Pentecostals. In other words Jesus has always been the Son and will always be the Son eternally and there is an ontological distinction between the Father and the Son. I'll do a post on this in the future, but our concept of who Jesus is in relationship to God the Father is vitally important and essential to communicating biblical truth and accurately representing the message of Jesus to the world.

2- Jesus wasn't created by the Father and neither did he show up as an after-thought. Jesus being God was the personal power whereby the universe leapt into existence. The scripture accord that all things that are made were made by him. A Physicist will claim "big bang"...Well God, by Jesus, was greater than the supposed singularity, and who existed before time began was the author of everything that was created whether seen or unseen.

3- Jesus at no point ever had the role of an angel or any other angelic host. Jesus role in heaven since the first of the heavenly creation were created was worshipped as God. Heaven ascribes nothing less than the highest praise to Jesus himself as HE is God. This theme is replete throughout scripture especially throughout the NT narrative.

4- Jesus never claimed to BE the Father. Jesus claimed to be one with the Father. This indicates his oneness in nature or essence. However Jesus was never and has never been confused over the fact that he was not the Father. He spoke distinctly of himself in relationship terms with the Father even calling himself "Son". Prior to Jesus, (and since) no Jewish teacher taught or teaches in personal relationship terms as Jesus did and does. Further, the Father is always the object and answerer of prayer to Jesus, further evidenced by Jesus himself often praying to the Father. As stated, the nature and essence of Jesus was that of God.

5- Jesus never claimed to BE the Holy Ghost. Throughout scripture, Jesus spoke of the Holy Ghost in relational terms as well, claiming that the Holy Ghost would direct men to follow and remember his words  and outlined his duties and operations among mankind and the church especially after Jesus would be taken away. Further, Peter understood that the Holy Ghost could be lied to (Ananias and Sapphira found this out) and Paul understood that the Holy Ghost could be grieved. In all cases there was a clear distinction in relationship and personality of Jesus and the Holy Ghost.

Conclusion

These are simply 5 of the most popular confusions on who Jesus is that I often hear. Dr. Chironna takes it to another level. There are plenty other confusion of which I am aware including that of Kenneth Copeland who claimed that Jesus never said that he was God and that of Creflo Dollar who claimed that Jesus wasn't born God but became God over time. The false doctrine that Dr. Chironna spouts is another in the league of apostate teaching.

I thank God for each of you that present the God of the bible, the true Gospel message that changes lives and saves souls and for those who never fail to lift up the true and living Lord for all men to see. Thank you and please be strong. We need you.

Blessed!

  1. Oh Great! More theological sewage from TBN and their ilk.

What really blows my mind with these people is that they don't state these things as a "hypothesis" or an "opinion" but state it as fact in a form of a statement.

The reason this distinction is important is because with a theological hypothesis or opinion one can be corrected with scripture and exegesis.

When you cross that line and begin to state things as material fact you have entered the realm of blasphemy.

Particularly in this case Mark Chirona has emphatically stated that Christ was NOT the Alpha but was rather a subsequent creation of the Father. He was an afterthought and not one with the Father from the beginning.

His statements would imply that Jesus was a created being, and if so would mean our entire salvation was NOT based upon Jesus (2nd member of the Godhead) personal sacrifice on the cross for mankind.

    OR

Mark Chirona is implying that Jesus became a "god" with the Father "after" God created him. This is Polytheism.

Repentance would only be a start. After that He would need to give back his PHD from the Diploma Mill at Oral Roberts U.

  2. Pastor Burnett, this is why we need to step up our fight against false teachers. Their influence is devastating. This is like intentionally spreading h1n1 to children.

Do the people deserve this because they have itching ears? That remains to be seen. But for sure Chironna is in gross error to claim Christ was spoken into existence. That's heresy of the worst kind.

  3. Is it me or was someone speakingin tongues at the beginning of the vid?! anyway.

The is, sorry to say it, but stupid and downright evil. What exactly is the point of him saying this? whats is it about? that God has revealed something new to him.

The scriptures doesnt say anything he suggested in the least. The only thing I see is that our God is so powerful that He can make light come out of nothing, His Glory also is light!!!

    Rev 21:23
And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Utter madness and the people are just lapping it up. This should be elemtary stuff and yet people are sold on charisma as you say.

Pastor Burnett, This dude Chironna says things on TV...I look at my wife and say, What did he say? What is he talking about? This clown uses such big words...he is obviously been around too many false black preachers...LOL...such big words that he makes the word of GOD of none effect. The HOLY SPIRIT is impressing upon me about someone else back in the day and still uses the Greek/Hebrew without discernment but with their "education"...Carlton Pearson. This dude talks like Carlton Pearson to me...LOL!
And you we know where Pearson's educated mind said to him!

Since this is resurrection weekend, Pastor Burnett, Favor please...If you have not already done so...Do a presentation on JESUS CHRIST died on the cross(Paid the full penalty/full atonement) Vs. JESUS CHRIST died on the Cross and went to Hell(and suffered torment in Hell), the way Creflo Dollar teaches it.

    Thanks Brother! GOD bless you!

  5. Enochwalked,

Thanks my friend. I've been a little under the weather the last couple of days and I was supposed to have a resurrection post done by now...but I'll add that dimension. I may do it on a podcast. I've got that already set up. Much depends upon how I feel.

Thanks and I appreciate your prayers.

  6. Man I thought I as the only one who thought Mark C is bugging! Thanks for posting this. That man is clearly a heretic. I once heard him say that we shouldn't pray against abortion because all those babies will most likely go to Hell anyway since most of their mothers are unsaved! WACKO!!

  7. Khalid,

I can't believe that...I try not to watch him, but when I do it's easy to hear some false premise.

He doesn't have a lot of members locally, but I wonder how he stays on the air to the tune of probably $1 M per month? It seems like some of these false prophets can easily buy the airwaves to promote garbage like this.

All I can say is that I thank God my unsaved mother didn't abort me when she was unsaved!!!

  8. Khalid that is sick to say the least, He forgets one thing in that statement and that only God is a life giver. If He allowed someone to conceive it was He who did it.

The reason that these people can get away with this is because people dont read their bibles, plain and simple. Anyone with a knowledge of scripture would reject this foolishness.

The focus of the church has turned from sound doctrinal teaching to emotionalism and a doctrine of "being blessed". People are also always looking to get a word as if Gods Word is not complete, we want something new - enter the Chirrona's of the world, "people have itching ears I will scratch them for them".

We need to get back to simple bible study and prayer, both in the Church and at home (I need to do better myself).

    Blessings!!

  9. I highly recommend many scholarly books including one titled "Misquoting Jesus" by Dr. Bart Ehrman. They will dispel the fog. He is the chairman of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

  10. C,

Since you are an evangelist of Dr. Ehrman, you should know the sentiments regarding his work around here. You can start by researching the various articles I've done on his work already. If you have any debate on those articles you can post them under those tags to make the conversation fruitful. I don't think that adding his blanket darkness to the confusion discussed in the article helps too much.

    Sorry!

  11. Simply read the Bible. You'll get all of the answers you need. Judge not others.

  12. So what do we read Barb? Scriptures like this:

John 7:24 ~ Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment

    or about this one:

1 John 4:1 ~ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

    or how about this one:

Mark 13:22 ~ For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Or to the real point of the article in which I discuss how this man OPENLY teaches that Jesus was a created being which is a FALSE teaching according to John 1:1-5 which says:

1-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2-The same was in the beginning with God. 3-All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4-In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5-And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

So what part are we to read according to you and why aren't these parts important when it comes to talking about the GOD of the bible?

  13. I was watching inspiration channel and came into.the room to cat h the last part of Mark Chironnas teaching. I wondered who is this I have never heard of him? The show ended and the holy spirit rose up in me and said this man has an altered doctrine. It reminds me of so much of the new age teachings that people are falling victim to. Yes I said falling victim. So many believe when they hear someone use the name God it is the the one true God and unfortunately it is not. They use the term God loosely. We know there are many false prophets and they love to decieve. I am so glad I listen to the Holy spirit and came upon your blog. I agree this man is not preaching sound doctrine. We need preachers who will rise up and preach the gospel in its entirety. We should not be fearful of sinners or what they may think when they hear the the word of God as it is intended. Ezekiel 3 is a great resource for those who struggle with preaching the word and being a mighty minister of the gospel. Research the teachings of those around you and ask God for guidance. He will direct your path. Rise up for we were created for such a time as this. God be with us. Preach to the masses so hardened hearts might turn to God.
