~ Banned ~ By Radio One

Music World Music, founded by Matthew "The Baby Is Yours" Knowles, has been listed in a lawsuit brought by Cathy Hughes of TV One. According to EurWeb:

"Mathew Knowles’ Music World Music is listed in the lawsuit because his company brokered the deal for the Essence Music Festival broadcast with TV One. His company is being accused of re-issuing the content BET, MTV and BET’s Centric Network despite TV One’s four-year exclusivity agreement."

As a result of the action,  the sister company of TV One, Radio One, who owns at least 12 of the larger gospel music radio stations across the country, has pulled ALL Music World Music Artists from their rotation which has been the primary resource for the promotion of Music World Music Artists. Here's a report from a certain anonmyous source:

“All Radio One personnel were told to pull all Music World artists out of rotation immediately and indefinitely! We were told that the mandate came straight from Ms. Hughes and that there would be ramifications for anyone playing or mentioning a Music World artist or song on air,”

The news is that not only does this show a continued lack of integrity by the chief executive of Music World, Radio One's actions also directly effect both Music World Music's and the artists ability to sell units and ultimately earn an income.  

Airtime is still the number one method by which artists are heard and by which sales are ultimately made, and to be banned from such a large analog and digital internet venue will have an effect potentially of epic proportions on the artists which Music World Music represents.

The Celebration Of Secular Seduction

Last year, when I wrote the Idolatrous Celebration Of Steve, I said to myself that I wasn't going to try to keep up with the "evil" that BET calls the Celebration Of Gospel. I had pretty much made up my mind that it really wasn't worth taking the time to point out the flat out riotousness that this so called Gospel celebration of music has gone to in order to mass market and appeal to the people. However, after watching the show and looking at the subtitle "Keeping the Faith",  I said that I must at least speak on some aspects of this years stage performance and obvious battle to confuse the mind, especially since the aim was to "Keeping The Faith". The first observation was that it was very hard to see that anyone knew what the "faith" really is. Yes, all this was, was a stage performance. The whole thing was devoid of anything that defines "the faith" or anything that I am aware of that was spiritual or even gospel oriented in nature. In addition, it was also a seduction of the mind and spirit geared toward confusing and obfuscating the truth...even attempting to reverse what many hold to be truth...that there is and should be a difference between clean and unclean.

The Sale & The Roster

TV is about ratings for sure. If there is a small audience, advertising dollars will not flow. This is the first thing that we all must realize. The TRUE gospel doesn't sell, on a regular basis on TV. (at least many times although there are some exceptions) Nevertheless, this year's roster was filled with secular singers, as always, but in a little different position than normal. This year they were highlighted, featured and in an advanced position. From El Debarge and Howard Hewitt to Chaka Kahn (who didn't even try to sing a gospel song, choosing instead to sing her oldie "Through The Fire") to Kelley Price and ultimately to Whitney Houston, the primary focus was upon the secular singer. The grand event of the evening seemed to be when Whitney Houston took the stage along with new gospel gone secular star Kim Burrell. Remember, this was the same Kim Burrell who is yet the COGIC Assistant International Minister Of Music and the same one that wants to record with Prince...It seems that she was at home in her new element singing Whitney's song, "Look To You". Although it wasn't Prince, clearly the audience was excited about Whitney's return standing the whole time she sung and vigorously applauding at her performance. Well, Whitney is a consummate singer...of that there is no doubt, but should I remind you that this was a "gospel" event, not a secular event??? Supposedly...

To be fair the stage was filled with the usual and highly suspect gospel singers also. Suspect because so many appear of them appear to be gay. Even Kirk Franklin had on his standard nerd garb, along with Israel Houghton who seemed to also be caught up with a Jr. High/High school uniform fetish or infatuation that Tye Tribbit also espouses. I have no idea why grown men have such a desire to present themselves as teenagers and wear clothes that are too small for

The Idolatrous Celebration Of "Steve"

In the ongoing saga of the Celebration Of Gospel, offered by BET, a plethora of talents were on display. Some of those talents included secular singers such as Fantasia and Kelly Price, who pretended to be saved for a few minutes, homosexual choir directors who pretended that their anti-biblical practices really didn't matter, and comedians that admit that the church can't turn its back too quickly because certain cuss words may simply fly out of their mouths under the right circumstance...

Then, in what was the ultimate in "star worship", Gospel singers and the gospel industry itself as represented gave a special tribute to the guest host, Steve Harvey, whose claim to gospel fame is hosting the show for 10 years and writing a book 'Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man' in which he claims it's good for a young lady to not rush into sexual activity, by waiting at least 90 days (establishing a 90 day rule) before engaging premarital sex. In other words, the message is have sex if you want to, only find out of this is a person that you really want to have it with after some time. From a secular teacher this is par for the course however there's more that the church should be concerned about.

Obeisance Of The Gospel Industry

As we watched gospel industry elites such as Donnie McClurkin, and Marvin Sapp commend Steve Harvey for the "progress" that he's making both spiritually and materially one couldn't help but be reminded of who these singers were really honoring. To be clear, although Steve "thinks" he's a Christian (I suppose by osmosis) because he has done many good things and doesn't approach things like he used to, I am yet left asking the questions,

1-When did Steve Harvey repent of his sins?  and

2- When did Steve Harvey forsake his sins and follow Jesus?

Celebrations, Celebrities & The Ultimate Seduction

2 Timothy 1:12-14
"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us."

The church is confronted with a greater attack of the enemy seemingly than ever before in our history. The sheer volume of lies and apostate beliefs that the church is combating requires all of its members to be in place and to be actively engaged at every level in the struggle for survival.

The problem is that too many of us who should be in the battle find it easier to step back and allow others to do the work, open doors and set the tone for ministry. Well, sorry to say, the Celebration of Gospel aired this February was no different.

BET and the Celebration of Gospel have "celebrated" to all times heights of flat out apostasy and a redefinition of truth and righteousness. As always, the 2008 celebration was filled with all sorts of excitement, flash and all the faupas expected of a major, highly anticipated production. Top notch worldly dancing and stage-showmanship, were eclipsed by a steady flow of Gospel music that came from singers and musicians, some of whom were even actually saved.

The most disturbing moment this year ended up being and old time Gospel song by new Gospel chart topper Patti "Da Seductive Star" LaBelle.

Ms. Labelle was presented after a rousing stage show by comedian Steve Harvey in which he discussed the various uses, and marketing designs of the standard "church fan". He noted that on one side was a picture of late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and on the other was a picture of a funeral home. It was a good routine and one that resounded with many church folk almost everywhere in the US.

Back to Patti…after receiving the microphone to do a remake of an old song from her new album, she soon swooned her way into the song "Walk Around Heaven". As usual for Patti, she began to ad lib and communicate with the audience. Soon she began to feel "the spirit" and while the crowed was swaying to the music and feelin’ it too she said, "and LUTHER will be there too, and we’ll walk around heaven all day." The audience clapped and cheered gleefully at her suggestion and the song continued.

Wait a minute…hold the Phone!

Luther???

At first I thought she was talking about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr….but then, it occurred to me she wasn’t talking about Martin Luther. Under normal circumstance most people would have said, Dr. King or even Martin…but Luther???

Could she have been talking about the late Luther Vandross? Could she have been saying that Luther Vandross…An unsaved, HOMOSEXUAL, sin loving, singer, that died in his sins was going to go to the same Heaven that God has promised toHIS Saints that have overcome the wicked one by the Blood of Jesus and the word of their Testimony???

Could she have been saying that a rank, homosexual, man defiled, sinner, was gonna walk around heaven with her all day in the sweet by and by???
In other words, Patti revealed another way to heaven OTHER than through Jesus.

What's equally as disturbing is that she, Patti- "Da Seductive Star" Labelle SEDUCED THE CHURCH FOLK LISTENING INTO AGREEING AND ACCEPTING HER STATEMENT, and bowing themselves in agreement with of a doctrine of devils, lies and hypocrisy???

ON A SUPPOSED GOSPEL SHOW???

OPENLY???

And NONE of the supposedly "anointed" Gospel people on stage or in the audience say ANYTHING???

I mean Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, Doctors, Teachers Prophets…all on hand, and NOBODY SAID ANYTHING???

Have we lost our spiritual minds???

Or better yet…have our gospel singers celebrities, and musicians, that we have entrusted our dollars to lost theirs???

Even better, did they ever have a mind or conscience to begin with???

Now, I can understand the culture of the world and their agreement with Patti’s statement, because the world loves it’s own (Jn. 15:19)…but what I can’t understand is a room full of Christians dedicated to the cause of Christ conforming SO WILLINGLY to the world and for the love of the world sitting silently while the church's message is dematerialized before their faces. Did anyone al least declare that only the righteous would see God in peace. (Heb.12:14)

Then I thought. Have we become so bound and indebted to this world that we are ashamed to let the light of Christ shine through us and our lives? And certainly even more ashamed to take a clear stand for HIS cause.
For God’s people to sit quietly and not say anything is the ultimate form of self-centeredness and hatred toward the world and every sinner on Earth. If we know the truth, not only should we walk in it but we should help persuade others to come to the knowledge of the truth and walk in it too.

Ezekiel 3:17-22

"Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul."

However, when we desire fame, celebrity, associations and all the other things that come with sin...

Woe unto us!

The world is seeking to use the church as a tool to validate it's sins at all costs. What are we doing in response to this affront? Do we feel that we should do anything at all?

I was listening to a certain broadcaster one day as he addressed an issue encouraging his listening audience to allow the light of Christ to shine through their lives. Although he wasn’t a preacher or theologian by any means, he said something that is very reflective of the modern understanding of the individual relationship with Christ. When talking about the Light that we were to shine, the announcer called it a "flame". He went on to say, "don’t let anybody blow your little flame out." I thought to myself, that’s the problem, too many people are "flamin’" in their sins and unrighteousness instead of reflecting the light of Christ.

Church don’t "Flame", Lord knows we don't need any more "flamin individuals" in the church, but let the true Saints of God SHINE the light and love of Christ all over this world.

Mt. 5:13-16
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

The Battle For The Church & Sexuality

On Sunday Nov. 11th 2007 BET aired the show "Meet The Faith". The topic was homosexuality within the black church. The panelists included Sherry Lee Ralph, Keith~Gay Blade~Boykin and Bishop E. Bernard Jordan.

Although I've not been too impressed with Bishop Jordan in the past, for reasons I won't go into here, I was hoping that he would be able to at least get a good, right, and well centered word across on what homosexuality is and why the church must preach against homo and lesbian lifestyles. Unfortunately, Bishop Jordan was in no way ready for this panel, or at least, when they GAVE HIM A CHANCE TO SPEAK.

Similarly, BET's show "Exalted" featured Bishop Carlton Pearson who has left every sound Biblical doctrine about the ministry of Jesus that he once knew, and entered into fantasy land with his doctrine of inclusion, which is a step even beyond what many Primitive Baptists believe, and ventures into flat out HERETICAL Biblical understanding promoting dogmas such as "Jesus didn't say he was God" (Which ANY BIBLE STUDENT KNOWS HE DID CLEARLY~ JOHN 8:58, JOHN 14:10-11, MATT. 9:5-6, MATT:28:18 and the list goes ON) and that "Jesus wasn't a Christian" and that he "didn't come to save Christians" the last 2 statements show his utter confusion because they make no sense.

From these shows and their content some things are very clear:

• Homosexuals and Lesbians have a right to all protections under the law as anyone else in society, and sexual orientation SHOULD NOT be the determining factor for secular employment, housing and other norms. Before you ask, I DO NOT believe in extending spousal benefits of insurance to homosexual or heterosexual partners. Doing so undermines the concepts of family and commitment and is bad for society on a number of levels.
  
• Both the church and the homosexual community often speak about this subject in a too highly of an emotional manner. So much so until neither really gets a good understanding without being emotionally riled up or offended.
  
• The homosexual community DOES NOT feel that the Bible condemns their sexual orientation based on the traditional scriptures used. They feel that they were born or produced as a part of a diversity among mankind as Same Gender Loving individuals.
  
• Many church leaders and ministers DO NOT know the scripture well enough to set forth a clear straight forward argument based on the Bible and the ability to reason.
  
• Homosexuals cannot discern the topics of sexual orientation and its relationship to God and sin and consequently twist the Bible and history to serve their views.
• The passions of the homosexual are unbridled. This DOES NOT mean that they are predators or out to only get sex, it means that they have no control over sincere feelings and emotions toward same gender individuals.

The Gay movement is led by vocal and visible "gender benders",bloggers and television personalities such as Ellen Degeneres, Keith Boykin, Jasmyn Cannick and countless others that promote homo agenda such as Tyra Banks. All of these have decided to move toward their primary objective. That objective is in part, to redefine family, the church, and ultimately steal the Glory Of God. Now, please don't think for a minute that I believe that they (within themselves) are that calculating. No, it's not a conspiracy after the flesh, although some of it may be well coordinated. In reality, it is the spirit that is controlling their actions.

An example of this is found when many of them repeatedly infer that the church was built upon homosexual participation and giving and further that it (the church)CANNOT make it without them and their ongoing support. As proof they often refer to the many pulpits that have been deceived into allowing homosexuals special functions in the church, while simultaneously preaching against the homosexual orientation and the homosexual lifestyle. To exacerbate the problem further, the homosexual declares that many, if not most, of the preachers in the pulpit are "In the closet" and that just about all of the church's musicians and gospel artists are gay or lesbian. This again, is an attempt to call into question the motivations, actions, and messages from some of the country's most influential ministries. More to the point, one of the greatest questions they pose toward any preacher that stands against them and meets their criteria of being homophobic is "Is He Gay?"

There is no wonder or mystery to this strategy. The devil's name "satan" simply means accuser or one who brings an accusation to bear. This is why those of us who are truly spiritual know that they are doing no more than the spirit of the enemy is promoting them to do. Remember, our fight is not against flesh and blood. (Ephes. 6:12)



Now, as a church, we must admit that we have a problem. Too MANY PREACHERS, MUSICIANS, SINGERS, AND GOSPEL ARTISTS are IN THE CLOSET. It's a tragic shame but it's true. Then, still there are a lot of ministers and leaders who are on the DL and live double lives from the pulpits. What we must do is REPENT, allow God to purge his church and get back on our knees and on our faces ask the Lord to forgive our sins and lift our shame. (II Chron 7:14)


We must be affirmed in knowing that NONE of the church's failures excuses or affirms the homo, lesbian, adulterer, or fornicator in their ways of ungodliness. It only proves what we already know. The devil is the father of lies, SIN and is a killer. The devil's primary aim is to cause the church to bow down to him and steal the Glory Of God from it.

What did Jesus tell Peter?

• Luke 22:31~32 "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren"

Thank God for the prayer of Jesus! This scripture points to the fact that Peter represented what would become, the ministry and revelation of the church. satan's desire was to get control of that ministry and leadership and replace the revelation of God with his own shoddy version of secularism and unfounded dogmas.

On a web site dedicated to the promotion of the gay agenda, a reader asked a question of the site owner/administrator (who by the way claims to be saved). The question was how did the site owner know that what they were doing and saying was ordained of God, and how were they sure that they were right?

The administrator went on to answer by saying that he/she walked by faith, and the belief that their life experiences had prepared them to answer these questions and basically promote the gay agenda. That same web site is actively soliciting Same Gender Loving (SGL) or HOMOSEXUAL churches to be a part of their church network. Their objective is to financially support and build up homosexual ministries, pastors, and leaders in an effort to provide an alternative to churches who preach and teach against homosexuality.

To cut to the heart of the issues, GOD IS AGAINST THE HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA, LIFESTYLE, BIBLICAL INTERPRETATIONS AND INTENTS AS IT PERTAINS TO HIS CHURCH.

Biblical Exposition

Although the gay community says that they were born the way that they are as a complete, whole and diverse human being the church must first note the following:

• God only created 2 types of individuals from the beginning and HE called them MALE and FEMALE. Any other type of individual born any other way or outside of one of those categories is a product or result of SIN that entered the world through Adam's disobedience. The homo or lesbian need not take the blame for what they feel, think and believe...SIN is to blame and it has placed those things there through the veil of the FLESH and through the tainting of the soul because of SIN. The answer to this dilemma is the same one that Jesus spoke to Nicodemus in John 3:7b "...Ye must be BORN AGAIN." No matter how or what you were born with the first time, a NEW BIRTH in Jesus will destroy the yoke and begin to set things in God's proper order. (I Peter 1:23) In addition, Paul points out to the Corinthians (who by the way had a significant homosexual population) in II Cor. 5:17~ "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Christ deals with our nature and essence NOT merely our feelings and emotions. He deals with who we are and what we are.

• Jesus categorized ALL sexual impurity as SIN~ Matt: 15:19-"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man:..." ref. Luke 7:20 Why would God punish me as a heterosexual for sexual impurity and incentivize and reward the homosexual for non biblical sexual desire? MAKES NO SENSE.

• Paul reaffirms that all sexual impurity and inconsistency is a work of the FLESH~ Galations 5:19. In this passage Paul goes on to name 4 sexual categories of sins. Adultery, fornication, uncleanness and lasciviousness. These four categories define ALL types of sexual SINS and impurities known to mankind. The first 2 are plain and easily understood both by homo and heterosexual individuals as being sins. The latter, Uncleanness deals directly with homosexuality, lesbianism and cross gender desires and cultic sexual practices. The last one, Lasciviousness, deals with bisexuality, sexual contact with non human beings and fetishes. ALL OF THESE ARE SINS OF THE FLESH. It doesn't matter how you feel as it pertains to your desire for these things. The feelings themselves indicates the presence of a sin nature that MUST be submitted to God simply because HE said so.

People in general have a hard time reconciling the fact that SIN dwells within them even without a knowledge of it. ONE DOES NOT HAVE TO GAIN A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SIN TO BE IN SIN. The HOMOSEXUAL reconciles that they did not ask to be Same Gender Loving individuals therefore God does not and will not consider them sinners or in a condition of sin.

My questions and response to that is Mr./Ms Homosexual WHY DO YOU FEEL SO SPECIAL as to not have to wrestle with issues of sin and unrighteousness? Why do you feel that your birth into this world was somehow immaculate and that you BY NATURE were born holy and your desires are all inherently PURE? NO, you were born in SIN and INTO SIN JUST LIKE ME! Your sin is not my sin, but guess what IT'S STILL SIN, and it's all WORTHY OF DEATH!

Just in case you still want to play church and hold on to your SINS, please be reminded of this:

In I Samuel 5 the Philistines took the Glory of God or the Ark Of The Covenant after many years of struggle and after God had punished HIS people for their sins. The short of the long is that when God began to deal with them, (the Philistines) they were stricken with terrible disease and their god (dagon) was found broken and upon his face in their temple.

The Philistines moved to rid themselves of God's Glory because they soon realized that God was a terrible and All Mighty God and one that THEY could not handle or bend to meet their desires. Don't forget that God is the same God today!

Flesh CANNOT handle the Glory Of God.

All humanity WILL bow before the presence of HIS greatness (Philippians 2:10). Weak, strong, flawed, hetro and homo. Only them that love HIM enough to purify themselves at the CROSS will be seen by HIM in peace (I Jonh 3:3). No FLESH will glory or be justified in HIS sight (Romans 3:19).

Now, so far as the fight with the church and for the Glory of God, it's been tried before and every society, every person, every religion has failed through history. The battle is the Lord's and he wins all the time and every time and ONLY what HE does will last.

Heb. 4:11-16~ "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
