  1. She is simply promoting herself!! As I have said in previous posts....."where were the "friends" when she needed them most? They all knew of her struggle.....telling her "you are just fine when you in fact knew she was high or drunk or whatever, instead of counseling her, or getting her some real help could have kept her alive! I am quite sure that they were all more concerned with staying on Whitney's good, contributing side than anything else!

    1. Dr. Chang got with IT!!! As they say, with friends like that, you need no enemies! And yes, they wanted the stage, fame and continued association of "normalcy" rather than make a difference to save this lady's life. They may call me judgmental, but that's OK, folk need to think about what has been entrusted to them and how they are using it. Folk are far too careless with their inheritance. Sad, sad, sad!

  2. I thank you for the clarity you provided on what actually happened in you previous post. Every time I hear anyone in the industry mention Whitney's death, it seems as if they know more than they are saying, and it annoys me that EVERYONE, including gospel artists, have chosen to be a part of this big cover-up. I just pray that I am never "bought" by any other price than the blood that Jesus shed for me on Calvary. Thank God for true freedom and salvation through Him, because those in the entertainment industry are not free...

    1. STB,

This appears to be a coverup for fame of epic proportions. I can't believe that these folk have the nerve and they present their faces as if nothing is wrong and things are normal!!! It just takes everything out of me to imagine their ignorance or disregard of everything that the bible teaches is a moral standard...Here Kim says as Bebe said..."she didn't do it in front of me"????

What did they expect? Her to take out a bong right in front of them. If she had a bag of Kush they never would have known, said anything or even cared...they probably would have took some too!!! These folk are OUT there!!!

I really try to be nice considering the death, but these folk are too much for me.

  3. I don't know what happened to Whitney but I can say that as someone who use to smoke crack myself I do understand the struggle. I think she gave her power away to Bobby Brown. She let him take her power away. I could be wrong though.

  5. My opinion: Two things I get when I watch the KB interviews: self promotion and superficiality. I cringe because she sounds so matter of factly as opposed to feeling the weight of hurt and loss of a friend (as close as she says). She has this sort of shrug it off attitude. Very confusing. Please no more interviews, Miss Burrell.

  6. Remember the ol' skool song "Friends, how many of us have them, Friends, ones we can depend on!" apparently Whitney didn't have Real friends... especially if they claim to be Christian!
how could you not confront someone you love about constant drug abuse and the possible deadly consequences, nobody said it would be an easy road, but in the end they will either love you for saving them or risk losing a friend
I believe Whitneys 'friends' valued their celebrity status of being in her inner circle over telling her the unpleasent truth about herself instead of acting like nothing was wrong, perhaps she would still be with us
"He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companions of fools with be destroyed" Prov 13:20

  7. Kim Burrell is all about self promotion, and was one of Whitney's many enablers. I teach an addictions class at our church and addressed this Whitney Houston tragedy. This clip addresses the foolishishness Kim was saying.

Sadly when so-called superstars like Michael, and Whitney tragically die, many in the church are affraid to say anything contrary to what the feelings and sentiments of the masses are. I commend you to sharing this!

  8. I do not really know who this person is (kim Burrell) but in all fairness, she doesn't know who I am either. I get the impression that in some circles in the body of Christ your value may depend on how popular or well known you are, and thats okay. We are living in a time where the evidence and signs are clearly showing that unless we seek after first to become more and more intimately rooted in Christ and the true knowledge of Him, we can become a subject to this world's system of deception. That system is aggressively promoting a counterfeit freedom by redefining who Jesus Christ truly is thus redefining the work of the cross thus redefining the doctrine of repentance. . The fruit in this video interview validates in my opinion some of that manifestation at work in this person's life. When we step into the pulpit and say that we were called, we immediately become Shepards, accountable for the souls God sends to us. I did not hear that accountability in the video. Can any ministers out there please define the "biblical " definition of "Freind"? because Jesus made reference to the word "freind" in the bible.

  9. "she experienced 25 years of great success"? coming from a mouth of a pastor?

    1. Winner01,

That's true. How can a person that has given their gift to flesh and materialism have experienced "great success"? Kim is incredulous in this interview. Now remember that it was her mother that delivered her to this industry for fame. It was Dionne that had a part in introducing her to drugs from reports that I have seen, and her brother that, by his own admission, facilitated the drug use.

She needed a system of spiritual people to combat that evil hedge that had been placed around her. All she got was people who are interested in the outward appearance, having friendly relationships, but not delving beneath the surface to get to the real issue. They all say, "she never did 'such and such' in front of me"...what did they expect? That she was going to take out or roll up a joint or lay out a line of cocaine in front of them??? They knew what was happening and were ineffective in helping. Powerless and non-confrontational. That's what she needed however.

  10. What is most shocking and saddest to me is that not 1 of those "ministers and pastors" that Whitney was so called "good friends with and or so close to" did not lay hands on her and not only arrest that devil but cast it out.

Whitney was bound and needed deliverance.
Addiction is a spirit and she in and of herself had no control or power over.

Yes, I understand that she was a grown woman and did what she wanted to do. But who in their right mind wants to be a drug addict.

The truth is that Whitney was bound by that devil and only the power of the BLOOD of Jesus could have set her free.

Pastor Kim Burrell, Pastor Marvin Winan, some of the other Winans and additional clergy will stand in judgement.

They knew without a doubt, especially Kim Burrell, that she was not only an addict but still using.

  11. Wow!!! I guess (and let me say, I am not some big fan of Kim Burrell), none of the people commenting have a relative or friend that you love dearly and have prayed for extensively, that just can't seem to get their life right. I see a lot of criticism for the celebrity ministers and gospel singers, for failing to do what many non-celebrity Christians can do; persuade someone to turn from sin and accept Christ. God gives each one of us free will and Whitney made choices that resulted in an early death. No one is to blame for that but Whitney. I am glad Jesus loves me inspire of my failings and that he is patient with me, although I have not been fully delivered from my thorns in the side. I hope some of these people who seem to have it altogether have friends who strive with them despite the fact that the laying on of hands, etc. has not made them sin free yet.
