The DIRTY MAN...Is Not Hidden, Can't Stop God & Will Be Judged

As I look back, I see that having embarked on the ministry of sexual abuse was very timely and continues to be life changing and eye opening.

It seems that the message was certainly not overlooked. God gave me a message that would sit right at the dinner table with many of the most vile abusers. I receive information, many times after the fact, of what was done and the impact of my work in helping to bring attention to the issue of church related abuse, and healing of those who survived. I am proud, in Christ, to say, THANK YOU JESUS for the opportunity to serve in this capacity!

While the young lady, whom I will bring focus to in this post, and I have never crossed paths in the City of Chicago, interestingly, her abuser and myself did. Unfortunately, we served in the same Jurisdiction, and at least on one occasion, even ate at the same table. As I reflect, God sent me to the right place at the right time with the right message. My last interaction in that jurisdiction, I was invited to this predator's church in the guise of a Jurisdiction function. I am proud to say, that I told my former Bishop, the Late Bishop Robert Sanders of Il. 3rd Jurisdiction, that I REFUSED to step foot in a known predator/pedophile's church. Although Bishop Sanders has gone on to his eternal reward, to this day, I haven't step foot in, not darkened the door of that church.

Now, you can say what you will...doesn't matter to me...nobody has paid my bills but me/us and to God be the glory!!! I wish that as a church we could make such a bold stance to put these sexual abusers out of business. Yes, they are everywhere, in every denomination and seemingly around every corner. Yes, they need to be in church...I would say on their face getting delivered, but they do not need pulpits, and no matter how vocally acrobatic they can be, they need to SIT DOWN and get saved and stop their abuse and molestation and REPAIR the damage that they have done by abusing, misusing and mishandling God's children. It is NOT a "special gift", as pedophile, serial abuser and demon filled Evangelist Tony Levya once said...He abused and sex trafficked over some 700 boys in his ungodly lifetime. It is a damnable, despicable, pathetic sin worthy of the deepest and lowest parts of hell, and those who do not wish to part from their sins, can't go there fast enough in my opinion.

OK...I got that out...let's get on to the real story at hand...

In 2020, GerVaise Sarah Guyton, at one time, the alleged God-daughter of this particular pedophile freak minister, whom she calls "DIRTY MAN" and "DDM Sr" and titled her book after, was thankfully able to enter into her deliverance and expose the sins of this rejected and clearly unrepentant minister.

In an explicit and no holds barred manner, Mrs. Guyton reveals the truth and goes in depth to the nitty-gritty of the rape and molestation that she experienced and into the depts of the sins that she survived. In this book, "DIRTY MAN A MEMOIR OF HEALING AND DELIVERANCE FROM SEXUAL ABUSE" Mrs. Guyton uncovers this serial pedophile minister who preys on young girls, seeking to defile them, while telling them he is "teaching them" how to have sex and be a good young lady for their future husbands.

One may say...why isn't this person in jail? While he did go to jail for other offenses, these offenses somehow escaped the statute of limitations in Illinois somehow and he was acquitted of the charges similar to the other alleged pedophile, abusive Bishop I have featured both on this blog and in various related podcasts. Click HERE for the links to that information.

The amazing thing to me is that after having advocated for survivors of this terrible sin for years, and seen offenders exposed and judged by God, is that some offenders somehow yet believe that they will escape judgement. They believe that their acts of abuse will never be rehearsed. In other words, they are PULPIT ATHEISTS, who DO NOT BELIEVE GOD, nor do they believe that God's word is true, and that he will stand for the least of them, his children! These fakes seek to present themselves as heroes for one reason or another, but are really the scum scraped off the bottom of commercial garbage heaps.

Some say, "you don't sound like a preacher of redemption"...maybe not...but they didn't sound or look like preachers of redemption when they were raping, abusing, sexually violating and defiling these young ladies and boys now did they??? None of them, including the defiled, illiterate, ungodly and demonically bound parents, and church folk who knew the whole story, but stopped nothing, failed to sound the alarm, and supported these abusers neither sounded or acted like anyone "of redemption" did they???

We seem to offer more excuses for inaction, and tend to resist them bringing deliverance and re-abuse those who have survived these horrific acts of Godless men and in some cases women.

Victim's Advocacy Is Not Dead

While we get ready for yet another election in COGIC, I do need to remind you, that even though I know of no candidate who has undertaken a serious look at victim's advocacy, or taken serious action  in support of survivors of church related abuse and sexual abuse, VICTIM'S ADVOCACY IS NOT DEAD YET!

What we will see from this blog, as long as it continues, is continued advocacy for those who have been hurt and abused and continued support for those who have suffered and survived this sin straight from the pit of hell.

Families, sons, daughters, wives and husbands need freedom from what sexual abuse and molestation has done to them. It has shaped some ideals that seem inescapable, some passions that seem to be to great to overcome and some depression that seems to be too low to move through from day to do...All I would say and continue to say is LOOK UP...because your REDEMPTION DRAWS NEAR!!!!

God WILL make a way for you. He will and can take the seemingly destroyed pieces that you have received, and build the most glorious place of refuge for you and your family...GOD CAN...AND GOD WILL!

Closing Prayer:

FATHER, I pray for all them that read this and participate in this blog, that you will strengthen them by your power and might. I pray that you will heal the pain of the soul that some have experienced with your stripes of redemption, and that you will lift hearts above and through the sin of abuse, rape and molestation and help these survivors find higher and greater hopes, aspirations and abundant life...I pray that you will activate the gifts of those holding, receiving and ministering to those who have been hurt, suffered and drained from these egregious sins. I pray that like a mighty  DUNAMIS wind you would use us to charge, energize and call souls back to life and let them live free as never before! Replace despair with hope, strength, love and isolation with vibrant community. Let them know that God's children are blessed...that God's children shall be blessed and strengthened and God's children are in your hands, and you are a very present help and healer in this time of need...Heal them, love them, care for them, and raise them up again...and blaze a bright path of freedom and we enter into a new day filled with joy, laughter, freedom and PARAISE...We will be careful, to give you ALL praise, for YOU are the author and finisher of our faith and in you we are never alone. To you, all praise and honor.
IN JESUS NAME WE PRAY!

AMEN!!!

Heal SOMEBODY today!!!

Blessed!!!

Molech Renewal Pt. 3: A Biblical Historical Look At Molech Worship In Israel

The WORD of the Lord:

Lev. 20:1-8 ~ 1- And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2- Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3- And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4- And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: 5- Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. 6- And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. 7- Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. 8- And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Written prior to approximately 900BCE to 700BCE, and recording events as far back as 1400BCE, the word of God was clear in its admonitions against idolatry, but that did not dissuade the children of Israel from disobeying God. In fact, Jeremiah received a word as God spoke against it specifically:

Jeremiah 32:35 ~ And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

As late as 626 BCE potentially and arguably some 700 to 800 years after God would tell his people to forsake idolatry, many of who would be called his “chosen people” would engage and continue in some of the most vile idolatry in history, which would involve child murder as a “right” and other illusive practices for which the people longed for.

From The Top: Israel & Judean Kings Given To Child MURDER

In the divided Kingdom, we also see a continuation of  idolatry in both Judah and Israel, so much and so until God brought judgement upon the entire nation and discarded them from his presence disbursing the nation even for a time.

Let’s start by observing King Rehoboam who, although he was a 41year old adult, yet seemed to be influenced in the idolatrous worship of his mother who was also an Ammonite:

1 Kings 14:21-24 ~ 21- Now Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite22 - And Judah did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins that they committed, more than all that their fathers had done. 23 -For they also built for themselves high places and pillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree, 24 - and there were also male cult prostitutes in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations that the LORD drove out before the people of Israel. (ESV)

As suggested, I am careful to note here that Solomon, out of all the over 700 wives, princesses and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11:3), married an Ammonite or at least fathered a son, Rehoboam, by an Ammonite woman. As I will go into detail shortly, the Ammonite worship system seemed to have included, not only Molechian worship and observance, but also observance of Asherim (Ashera “the queen of heaven”) and ultimately the worship of Baal which it appears to suggest worship and observance of “Molech” and other deities of the pantheon of  false and pagan “celestial” deities.

While trying to assert himself as King, opposing Rehoboam, Jeroboam thought to preserve his life and insert himself into power after Solomon’s death by promoting idolatry and appointing non-Levite Priests to office. He recreated the “golden calf” system claiming that the calves were representative of the God that had delivered Israel through the wilderness, similar to what Aaron did when he succumbed to the people’s request supposing Moses to be dead.

Jeroboam, who evidently was a polytheist, set idols at both Bethel and Dan. (1 Kings 12:29). When the judgment of the Lord came upon his family by his son’s sickness and eventual death, a prophet told him of his evil and what God was going to do by cutting off his seed in the earth. The prophet goes on to reveal this:

1 Kings 14:15-16 ~ 15- the LORD will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and root up Israel out of this good land that he gave to their fathers and scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger. 16- And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin.”

Interestingly enough, one can see that even in Jeroboam’s short tenure, he had begun to allow and encourage the Kingdom to pick up every idolatrous act which had preceded them. It is within reason to believe however, that this idolatry had begun prior to his tenure or aspirations to be king even if subtly.

God warned Solomon that “strange women” would turn his heart from God. (1 Kings 11:2) scripture validates that Solomon honored the gods and deities of many of the women he married and even bowed himself to worship them as well. The scripture points out that specifically that Solomon built worship centers for “Chemosh the abomination of Moab” [The Queen Of Heaven] and for “Molech the abomination of  Ammon”.  (1 Kings 11:7)

In other words, we can see a full bloom polytheism in practice long before Solomon’s death. (1 Kings 11:1-13) Therefore, it is not a wonder why and how the Kingdom slipped so quickly into idolatry once Solomon died. They were already engaged in idolatrous practices from top levels of leadership.

Idolatry Persists In A Divided Kingdom

After Solomon’s death, among the Kings under whose tenure the nation of Israel would be divided and developed, we continue to see a debase worship system and  continued debaucheries endorsed and given an open door. It is therefore not difficult to believe that child murder was common under the regimes of both Israel and Judah.

Ripe Scriptural Evidence:

King Ahaz (Judah’s 12th King) was also dastardly and diabolically evil sacrificing children to Molech:

2 Chronicles 28:3 ~  and he made offerings in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD drove out before the people of Israel. (see 2 Kings 16 to see the sins of Ahaz regarding idolatry)

King Manasseh (Judah’s 14th King) did not follow his father Hezekiah in keeping Judah’s God pleasing reforms:

2 Chronicles 33:6 ~ And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

Additionally the scripture affirms:

2 Kings 21:7 ~ And the carved image of Asherah that he had made he set in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever. (ESV)

And during the process Israel would not listen nor turn from their idolatry. They simply proceeded by their own will, into judgement.

2 Kings 17: 14-18 ~ 14-But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the LORD their God. 15-They despised his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after false idols and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them. 16-And they abandoned all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made for themselves metal images of two calves; and they made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal. 17-And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger18-Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.

The deity known as Molech, is believed by many to have been stamped out and practices honoring him died in the wilderness, or at the very least when Israel began to settle in the Land of Promise. From scriptural evidence, both preceding, postdating and concurrent with Israel’s travels and mission to settle the “Land of Promise”, it is my contention that the deification, worship and observance of both Molech, by many names and even under the name Baal, and Ashera worship, under various names and even under the name Chemosh, as it were known in Moab in particularly, never completely died out.

I contend that worship to these false deities simply evolved, changed, cloaked and revised itself like other such ANE deity cults, adapting into various and alternate cultures even up until modern times. Further, I contend that Israel, even during the 1st Century, a time at which scholars have said that there is ample evidence that Jews were particularly observant of their national theme in Deut. 6:4 “the Lord OUR God is ONE” , the Hebrew Shema, that the culture was well aware of the concept of Hinnom, child sacrifice and murder of the innocents at the alter of Molech and Ashera.

Archaeology:

The Tel-Dan Inscription
Approximately 870BCE

Archaeology at Dan (Tel-Dan) has rendered many finds in recent times. An artifact called the Tel-Dan inscription, is the first historical evidence of King David and Israel’s kingdom outside of the biblical text. The Stela notes the “King of Israel” and the “King of the House of Israel”, and referring to two nations (both Judah & Israel, Southern and Northern Kingdoms) that Hazael, King of Aram, defeated ie: Jehoram of Israel and Ahaziah of Judah (2 Kings 8). Prior to this discovery it was speculated by many biblical critics, that both David and Israel as a kingdom was a myth or tall tale.

Dan is an over 6,000 year old city described in the bible as being one of the places where Jeroboam set up one of his “golden calves” as a symbol of veneration in order to attract attention away from Rehoboam’s Jerusalem (who, as stated, set up idols as well).

Among some of the other finds at Tel-Dan include a scaled down version of the Temple in the North and miniature figurines, apparently present throughout Israel, that archaeologists believe were used to represent false gods such as Molech and Ashera or Chemosh.

In an article discussing the excavations and findings at Tel-Dan, the website  Haaretz.com states the following:

Archaeologists have found hundreds of figurines in Jerusalem and Judah, mainly in the ruins of private homes. Most were depictions of a nude female with exaggerated breasts. Scholars identify these figurines with the fertility goddesses Ashtoreth and Asherah, talismans to help conception and childbirth.”

Although much evidence exists that Israel was into idolatry and various practices including worship of Ashera and even revised, if not out right worship to Molech and Chemosh, archaeologists have concluded that Dan was not “wholly” given to idolatry, but was such a place where dual worship (worship of both idols and YAHWEH) took place and existed.

The Mesha Stele aka: The Moabite Stone
Approx 840BCE

According to to the Mesha Stele, which is an amazing archaeological discovery, and as confirmed in 2 Kings 3, after King Ahab died, the King of Moab, Mesha, rebelled against Israel (2 Kings 3:5). The stele contains a favorable history in which Moab was basically punished punished by their god Chemosh, but was forgiven for past indiscretions and told to take Nebo from Israel. According to the stele, Chemosh, gave Moab the strength to overcome Israel.

Although the Stele never revisits the latter parts of the incident other than to say that Chemosh had directed Moab into victory over Israel as stated. The scriptures however paint a much more broad picture and gives us the conclusion of this particular incident.

Scripture outlines a league of nations (Israel, Judah & Edom) as they went up to fight the Moabites. Although they encountered trouble, such as having to travel the long way around, and running out of water, the scripture outlines that in the end the victory was directed by God through the Prophet Elisha. He was given a message of God's deliverance which centered around telling the alliance to dig as many ditches as they could so that water, not from rain and or from seas, could be retained (2 Kings 36:16-17). The water, which was interpreted as blood by the Moabites led them into a trap (2 Kings 3:23-24), and the Moabites were defeated.

What is interesting, is that the initial defeat wasn't satisfactory with Mesha. He mounted another attack using 700 of his best soldiers only to be defeated again. In light of his defeat he then took his oldest son and sacrificed him to Chemosh:

2 Kings 3:27~ Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned unto their own land.

Once again, we view child sacrifice associated with the worship of Chemosh (aka Molech) as in direct relationship to Moab.

Additional Biblical History

In 2 Kings 17 a scenario unfolds regarding Assyria and the re-population of Israel after captivity. It seems that Assyrians brought their systems of worship to Samaria, which of course, displeased God, causing judgment to come upon the citizens through an attack of lions.

In response, the Assyrians recognized these attacks to be a result of dishonoring the “God of the land” (2 Kings 17:27) and that the people needed to better know how to honor the God of the land. The King of Assyria commissioned a former Danite priest to teach the people how to worship and honor God.

The interesting part here is that even after the people received instruction, they continued to worship their own idols and gods brought into the land:

2 Kings 17: 29-33 ~  29-Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt. 30-And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima, 31-And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. 32-So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. 33-They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.

2 Kings 17:41 ~ So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

As stated in our previous article on the subject, the confirmation of the survival of these false deities existed well into the 1st century New Testament in both a Jewish and a Hellenized or secular world. In reference I previously said this:

"Tophet which literally also means “the place of burning” is believed to be the extreme southeast part of the “Valley of Hinnom”, is not mentioned as a literal place in the New Testament but appears to be synonymous with Gehenna or HELL or death in wordplay. This place was said to be a place where garbage and that which was unwanted was taken to burn and be consumed by fire. Interestingly, Gehenna is a transliteration of the Aramaic form of the Hebrew word Hinnom. The “fire” associated with Gehenna, never ceases (Mark 9:43-44) and the fire consumes ones “body and soul” in judgment. (Matthew 10:28)"

At Mars Hill (Acts 17), in a Greek cultural setting, Paul was confronted with all manner of idolatry and false worship and proceeded to preach and teach about the alter dedicated to “the unknown god” (Acts 17:23) Though no specific deity is pointed out here, it is not beyond the realm of believability that among the gods venerated at Mars Hill were revised versions of not only Baal, but also Ashera and Molech.

In Conclusion

In a recent debate on abortion and abortion rights, Dr. Willie Parker, who actively aborts children for a living, acknowledged that although a baby in a mother’s womb was a “human being” he or she was  NOT a “person”. He then went on to state that under our system of law and justice that “persons”  have rights and a right to live, but human beings don’t necessarily have the same. Yes, it was really an experience and an amazing expenditure of intellectual currency in effort to rationalize his actions of murder on demand, but the point is that many, no matter their education level and exposure, are doing mental gymnastics in order to make baby murder more palatable.

I simply do not believe that our current actions and even actions and the desire to murder the unborn whether for hire or organically, even prior to Roe v Wade, are simply novel ideas. Our current experience is simply a repackaged and updated version of an age old desire to kill mankind, youth and in this case, the unborn.

Sin Packaged As A Good Idea

Amazingly, the current covid 19 vaccines, which are being mandated, and in some cases forced into people’s arms from place to place all over the world, were tested and developed using aborted fetal cells as I have pointed out in THIS ARTICLE.

I have heard people attempt to defend abortion related to vaccine by saying that many medications were developed similarly using HEK 293 fetal cells. Amazingly, the reports regarding HEK 293 range from “miscarriage” to “elective abortion”, therefore, whether abortion or baby murder was invoked to develop HEK 293 is ambiguous depending upon who you are talking to. What is not ambiguous is the fact that the vaccines were developed also using PER.C6 which is also a fetal cell line definitively and clearly obtained by ABORTION. Many argue that there are no aborted fetal cells in the vaccines, so their development should be of no consequence. But is any of that true?

Should we only value results with little regards to the means or the path taken to those results? Should we only value our societal conveniences as opposed to the methods that are implored to achieve those conveniences?

Historically, and biblically, we can see that since sin entered the world and the first murder committed by Cain, the murder and killing of humans has been an issue. It is a wartime strategy as far as I am concerned. If I were in an extended war against anyone, the best path is to reduce their numbers. Reduce their reinforcements. Don’t let them out of the gate.

Abortion is a wartime strategy of disinformation and misinformation at the highest level. It is simply about  number reduction and ultimately control. These are the same elements that were in these ancient systems of worship of molech and chemosh and ashera that demanded parents to agree in a solemn fashion without emotion and certainly without a willingness to intervene.

Could it be that society’s need to promote abortion is, at root, not about anything other than “worship”? Not women’s health, not about personal choice, not about “my body, my choice”, but about WORSHIP?

With our bodies and minds we glorify God. We do the same when we glorify the devil!

When all 3 of these articles are considered and held against modern society, I pray that it can be observed that this issue is one of epic concern to every believer. The unfortunate part is that within the context of the church this subject is probably one of the least spoken about and least taught. The fact is, teaching and showing those how to save life and especially innocent life, is the root of ministry and service to the living God we serve.
Jesus said,

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that
they might have it more abundantly."

~ John 10:10

Ravi Zacharias, A Legacy No More

1 Cor. 3:13-15 ~ 13 - Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 - If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 - If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The saga that has unfolded in the death of the late Evangelist Ravi Zacharias has been of epic proportions. It is a sad tale that causes everyone to shriek with wonder regarding how a man of such august pulpit character, biblical knowledge and austere demeanor could be addicted to sex so much that he led a secret lifestyle of not only sexual promiscuity, but also a lifestyle of abuse and misuse of those subordinate to him in ministry.

“We are in the process of taking down Ravi’s content from our website and social media platforms, including publications, videos, and other forms of content, and we intend to change the name of the organization. Effective immediately, we are also discontinuing the use of “The Zacharias Institute” brand,” ~ Sara Davis CEO and Daughter of Ravi Zacharias

Recently, according to Premiere Christian News, the ministry soon to be formerly knows as RZIM, has committed itself to removing all reference to the minister known as Razi Zacharias, and is evidently intent on removing his name from all material they reference and provide the Christian community, as well as changing the name of the ministry itself, so that there will be no record or reference of Ravi Zacharias in any form.

“We are in the process of taking down Ravi’s content from our website and social media platforms, including publications, videos, and other forms of content, and we intend to change the name of the organization. Effective immediately, we are also discontinuing the use of ‘The Zacharias Institute’ brand.”~ Sara Davis CEO & Daughter of Ravi Zacharias
Struggling with sexual addiction is enough, but when that leads to abuse and maltreatment of others, it displays an even larger problem with character, that is not so easily reconciled or put away as "bad" behavior.

1 Cor. 11: 27-32 ~ 27 - Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 - But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 - For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 - For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 - For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32 - But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

We often and only think of 1 Cor. 11 in light of  a communion ceremony, however the fact is that we have relationship with the Lord (eat his flesh and drink his blood) DAILY as we have a daily communion and fellowship with the Lord as believers. We are to examine ourselves daily and make sure that we are in a repentant posture and willing to forsake and repudiate our sins and evil that makes itself known to us daily. In doing these things, the power over sin is displayed, as no one committed to their sins is willing to report because of them.

Examination In The Mirror Of Truth!

Truth be told, I have certainly had to look in the mirror of God's word in repentance in my life. What I did not know at the time of the most pain, much of which I inflicted upon myself, and had to learn, was that there is never a time that a leader should look to "leave" or remove himself from the altar of God's redemption.

See, we have been taught that repentance is a "stage" or a part of salvation and many, including most ministers I know, have laid it out in their soteriology as a "step" in the process of salvation. However, what if repentance is something that God requires of us DAILY? What if, we are to repent and maintain the posture of repentance at all times and that there never is a time when and where we are grown enough, in this life, to leave the altar?

No, I don't believe that our faith is shaky, or on unstable ground. The bible says that "the FOUNDATION of God stands sure, the Lord knows them that are HIS" (2 Timothy 2:19) but the latter part of that verse says,
"And let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from his iniquity"

Them that are "HIS" cannot simply resolve to live with addictions, sins and failures. Repentance, is a LIFETIME proposition and when one thinks that he or she has passed a certain stage and has defeated the enemies that Christ has defeated and given us the tools to maintain victory over, we deceive ourselves and set ourselves up for failure.

My experience: You see, pre-failure, it was all about me...what I lacked, and or needed and how I was being treated...Post-failure, or Post -VICTORY, I learned it is all about CHRIST, what he desires of us and how we can please and serve him daily and being sensitive to HIS thought and attitude towards what we are doing and what we embrace.

The trappings of sin tap into our self-serving nature. Our desire to please ourselves and find a "comfort" whereby we are satisfied. The flesh finds comfort in sin and evil to that extent. The only thing that can break the power of sin and addiction is the Cross of Christ. Sadly, when that is not allowed to happens a continuous process, all that is left is frustration, addiction and abuse. Similarly as Amnon "hated" his sister with a equal or greater passion as he had "loved" her prior to raping her (1 Sam. 13), the only thing left after unbridled passion and unrepented for sin  is hatred of self, and that is normally displayed by and through the abuse of others. The key to understanding Amnon was that he hated his sin so much until he mad Tamar, the sister he had violated the object of his hate. Blind rage was the result. That is how sin entangles itself and deceives the flesh.

We are praying for the Zacharias family. I could not imagine my daughter having to heal my wife and dispose of my legacy and life's work because of the utter shame that it brought to life and living, especially after all the sacrifice to do just the opposite in this world and life. Yep, I certainly am taking heed and I encourage every ministerial leader to do the same. Let's us all learn the message that Dr. Ravi never explicitly taught, but that God is teaching us by example.

What Really Makes The Church "Look Bad"?

Prov. 14:34 ~ Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

In light of our national conference call dealing with COGIC sexual abuse, clergy sexual misconduct, and victim's advocacy, I have taken it upon myself to examine an issue in a much more indepth manner than I have previously. Of a certainty, some think that dealing with the issues which were dealt with during the call should not have been placed on "public display" and should have been dealt with privately and through various church councils and processes. Although we have been there and done that  with no or very little results, I thought that I should address that issue and those sentiments from a more specific biblical view.

The Problem:

In many Christian circles the thought exists that those who are aware of certain sins in the church should not talk about and or expose those things because the church may "look bad" or be seen in the wrong light by the world. Some say that we should "just pray" and that things will "work out". Some rationalize their lack of response or failure to address serious topics by saying that no business airs its dirty laundry before its customers or clients, so why should it be a practice of people of God to expose the dirty laundry of the church? Others even say that speaking evil or negative of the church or exposing what is going on is a sign of hatred for the church and not a sign of love, because after all, "love covers the multitude of sin and fault".

Babies & Morality...What Are The Real Implications Of Current Findings?

Anderson Cooper's 360 on CNN has recently taken off on this presentation that 60 Minutes did a couple of years ago when they examined studies on the foundation of human morality at Yale University's Baby Lab. This reintroduction of this material has gotten all kinds of attention and commentary and thoughts are all over the board on this one.

Question:

This is somewhat of a trick question, but, is it even possible to be moral or to distinguish good form evil without God?

Enter the Baby Lab of Yale University

The Baby Lab sets forth scientific information, not spiritual information nor information that is designed to support one dogma or another. The scientists clearly believe in evolution and the evolutionary path, but their findings can be interpreted in a different sense as well. Here's the vid:

As I stated, this is a trick because we can never be or have never been truly "without God". God is present even in the life of an atheist to the extent that the presence of God cannot be removed from his creation or the earth as we know it. At the root of the question however, is does one need God, in the sense of saving faith, to be moral or to distinguish good from evil?

My answer to this complex question has always been NO. One can be good, moral and distinguish evil from good ONLY because God has built the ability to distinguish good and evil in us as people, so that we are without an excuse for the path that we have chosen at the end of the day.

Now, there is a perversion of this called "human morality". This is the type of morality that humans establish to prove that they are "better" than God and have higher values. While these attempts arguably fail miserably (because it's like a child crawling in the lap of his mother to slap her in her face and tell how how to take care of babies) We can say that men without God have established their own twisted and perverted sense of what is right and wrong, supposedly rooting that in what they call "rational thought".

In the world of so called "rational thought" the concept of God and the boundaries that come with religion in general, restrict truth and make discovering truth more difficult. See, according to them, in this world, we should allow everything to go...live and let let...do as thou wilt...y'u-know, all those satanistic values that Anthon LaVey perpetuated...no restrictions, no boundaries, but whatever one's will is, that's what one should do....ie hedonism...Well that's well and good until someone does what they wish that isn't in accord with your wishes...

Bottom Line
Whether God is acknowledged or not God has communicated certain attributes to man and mankind. Moral and freewill choice being a couple of them, that we can exercise whether we accept HIS reign in our lives or not. In other words, the gift of life and choice between right and wrong does not simply go away because we choose evil. Although we are powerless to "save ourselves" we are able to make a choice freely based on how we are created.

The Materialist Conundrum:

If God does not exist and we are merely material or products of natural processes it is impossible to know or distinguish good from evil. Why? It is really rather simple...It goes something like this:

If we are truly and only products of the material realm, by what process can we ever arrive at morality? Material, rocks, dirt, trees and anything else known as material matter makes no moral assumptions and has no moral values other than the values ascribed to them by human agency for whatever reason that might be. There is no moral position of a rock or material even if acted upon by chemicals and water over time...Morals are not what is called inherent in material mater. So the whole process of evolution, if one believes in evolution, cannot get out of the gate...on top of this, the moral question of materialism becomes a futile effort.

Morals exist in humans and unlike that of apes and rats (atheists go so low on the chain of life to make comparisons when they hear things like this) Human values do not only promote the species, they fulfill life and cause life to be and become what it is. Interestingly, humans, undertake moral values and questions, on the shoulders of God, not in spite of God. God is the principle that provides the distinguishing factors of truth and the ability to distinguish between good and evil. There is no materialistic mechanism for this in any sense.

Ultimately Speaking...

Under a truly materialistic paradigm, good and evil receive the same reward. They are merely built in premises that a person is bound and destined to follow fatalistically. Like the Matrix, all individuals are simply acting out their program. Atheist Alex Krauss says, "all physics are deterministic". This means that nothing acts randomly, not even thoughts. In the deepest sense, there is no choice or freewill under materialism. The mind is set from birth. This, by design, excludes any intervention of God to any degree in life's equation. However, it also strips one of any ultimate culpability for their actions in any sense. Duties are only to self or a close group or community, never to any ultimate authority.

If there is no God, in the most deep sense, all actions are justifiably equal. The raper and robber are as good as the hero and the law abiding citizen.

Thank God that materialism is FALSE!

The Sin Nature:

Having worked with children in a child daycare for 16 years as a profession, I can readily and easily see the sin nature at work in children at a very young age. What we find the doctors revealing is that a "sin nature" exists. They call it being selfish. The "us vs. them" mentality that these researchers reveal by the behaviors of certain children are the byproduct of sin in our hearts. Any bigotry and racism as outlined are as a result of the fall and our human values after the fall.

This is why man need a savior. Babies can't distinguish these things. However just as God distinguishes them, and men observe the actions, God knows what exists. Form a very early age, we can see that children identify what is right and what is wrong. What they do with that is their freewill even at that age. Interesting.

Certainly these things will continue to be talked about for generations, and rightfully so.

Blessed!

Was Paul A "Sinner" For Christ?

The Sinful Paul Thesis

Romans 7: 23-25 ~ "23-But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24-O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25-I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

In the comments of the post Does The Bible Deal With Sexual Orientation? I was amazed to find that some Christians view Apostle Paul as a person struggling with sin within his personal Christian life to the extent that he was overwhelmed by it within his own Christian walk. This view is held by some who interpret certain verses of Romans 7 to be Paul's confessional and personal declaration of his own depravity.  One thing to note, is that many who hold to that interpretation superimpose their life and struggle with sin on top of Paul's words in order to create a sinful Paul from his very own words in effort to make sense of their personal struggles. I call this the "Sinful Paul Thesis".

Assumptions such as these presuppose that Paul was "like us" in what he had been exposed to in life and that his sinful inclinations, propensities, and social conditions were similar to ours. The problem with this is that in order to make Paul like us, we have to strip him of his moral base. The life of a first century Jew was dramatically and drastically different than ours in 21st century Western America. Paul being a pious and zealous Jew was steeped in scriptural teachings and Jewish traditions which he readily admits. This by itself does not exempt Paul in any way from sin and that's certainly not the claim that we make, but it does set the backdrop of understanding that Paul would not have readily been a willing participant in issues that he knew were sin especially on an ongoing basis. Paul was familiar with certain disciplines that kept him from certain types of sins and sin in general. He introduces concepts of fasting prayer, meditation, supplication and immersion in the word of God in effort to give believers the strength to overcome personal struggles and to help edify the church and all believers in general. To take spiritual disciplines in Christ away from Paul is to miss his complete message as it pertains to overcoming sin through Christ and as it pertains to his understanding and explanation of what Christ actually did on the cross.

So at best individuals claiming that Paul was somehow a closet sinner do the gospel a disservice by actually taking Paul out of the context in which he existed, stripping him of his value set, and recreating a Paul who affirms and suits 21st Century struggles and failures. Further they create a message of Christ that is powerless to effect the practice of sin in the flesh. As we can see not only is this a bad way to read the bible it will never allow one to come to an accurate understanding of what's being communicated and it has some far reaching impacts.

The Impact Of A Sinful Paul

The fact is that Paul certainly sinned. That is not in question. However, for one to suggest that the overarching premise of Paul's life was sinful, is not only an perversion of scripture, it is a totally absurd and unsupportable view. This is the focus of what we are discovering in this post.

Was Death A Part Of The Good Creation Of God?

Genesis 1:27-31 ~ 27-So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28-And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29- And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30-And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31-And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day

Did God create and earth where death was a part of the natural and physical world?

Did God create anything and everything that he created to suffer death and die?

Unfortunately, some Christians think so.

Ranging from theistic evolutionists to progressive creationists, some modern Christians feel a need to try to balance certain modern scientific discoveries with the very creation story itself as found in Genesis ch's 1 and 2. The problem is that today's argument has moved beyond asking about creation parallels from other literature, which are almost a dime a dozen and not significant to the biblical narrative, into discovery of just what God created when he created. One should be mindful that even though some aspects of early Genesis are poetic in nature and highly filled with symbolism, those things do not overturn or compromise the integrity of the actual events found within the narrative, neither do they minimize the importance of what God did and communicated to man and mankind.

Section I: The Beginning

The Command

Genesis 2:15-17 ~ "15-And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16-And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17- But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

This was the command of God toward man. This was also outlined the result of man's rebellion. In that day tat he would he, he would die. Now some claim that Adam could not have known what death was without having witnessed it or having had the ability to witness it. That speaks nothing of the fact that if we are to
