At the time TRUMP In, Favor Granted & The Black Church's Continued Confusionwas written I DID NOT know about the firestorm that Donnie Swaggart had started over COGIC Presiding Bishop J Drew Sheard's open endorsement of Kamala Harris, nor was I aware of THE RESPONSE of certain COGIC members, calling themselves "Young Leaders Of The Church Of God In Christ" {I didn't know that there was such a group in our church} nor the Board Of Bishop's response which I find was more palatable than the "Young Leaders" response.
There are reasons for my ignorance in general...for starters, I have enough to do without following the latest church news and secondly, I am NOT on J. Drew or Christian church watch and really and sincerely wish everyone I know well. See, I have my own mind and am willing to follow the dictates of it without the influence of church leaders or church leadership, and I already knew that Kamala was a horrible choice for President based on what has transpired the last 4 years since she has been in office.
Prior to election, I did see that Kamala's last stop was GEI COGIC in Detroit and it seems the pulpit, representing all of COGIC, was open to her to make one last appeal to not only the Church Of God in Christ, but the Black church in general.
Needless to say, I AM GLAD KAMALA LOST and that Donald Trump's re-assent was and is a good thing no matter what some of the most liberal and dedicated to the democrat political party thinks. The good news is that she received prayer, and she needed it. So our Bishop did get a chance to pray for her. The bad news is that the issue was conflated out of context.
Truth Be Told...
My opinion...I LOVE Bishop J Drew, and he has a right to endorse whatever political candidate that he chooses. In fact, every American has a right to endorse whomever they wish to endorse and that should be done in the best possible spirit and personal best interest...While I never would have let her engage or embrace my pulpit, just as I would have not allowed Donald to either, because of J Drew's position as the leader of the entire COGIC, made this an even greater issue.
We must admit, no one of us is perfect. Certainly our young leader's letter wasn't perfect and I will deal with that in a minute...But let's look at what was said in criticism of our church and church leader:
Elder Donnie said this:
“The statement I’m about to make, I’m going to be called a racist, and I will be called every name under the sun, but somebody needs to stand up and speak to the Black Church. When the largest African American Pentecostal denomination, when that leader stood up and said I endorse that woman, he was saying, I endorse murder, I endorse homosexuality, I endorse lesbianism, I endorse transgenderism, I endorse every evil that Hell could prosper or bring up to [be] right"...“That’s wrong, folks. And the Black Church votes predominantly for the party that is anti-God. What’s going on here? What’s going on?”
Let's be TRUTHFUL...I simply ask...WHAT IS A LIE IN THAT SENTIMENT???
Kamala endorsed and represented a party that otherwise endorsed all of the above without regret or remorse, at least prior to the election. Who can say that the Democrat party did not and does not endorse:
Abortion (murder)
Homosexuality/Lesbianism
Transgenderism
Yes, that is what the Democrat party endorsed at least until the election. Who knows what they will endorse now that they are in such a realignment...but NONE of those points are even arguable.
Secondly, Elder Donnie says that the Black church predominately votes for the party that believes in and endorses those things calling them a "party that is anti-God"
I say...WHERE IS THE LIE IN EITHER OF THOSE STATEMENTS???
The Democrat Party removed "God" from their party platform years ago to become more "inclusive" of people who either didn't believe in God or that had beliefs other than those found within Christianity. The removal of God isn't the "anti-Christian" part...the endorsement of ideals and values that are antithetical to Christian belief and matters of faith is the problem. THOSE ENDORSEMENTS ARE anti-Christian.
Further, election data shows that nearly 80% of Black men continued to vote for the party, while nearly 90% of Black women did the same. Although 2024 represented the largest dissent of the Black vote away from the Democrat party, THANKFULLY SO...the fact is that by the numbers, Blacks, led by the Black church, continued to support a political party who has endorsed all of those things mentioned and more, and which has been ineffective in helping the Black community and or solving and even addressing our problems.
So Exactly What Did Donnie Say That Was WRONG or in ERROR???
Be clear and let's get real...Donnie received his criticism because he was a WHITE MAN and because he pushed back against our Black Presiding Bishop, Bishop J Drew Sheard.
In his defense...Bishop J Drew Sheard is one of the nicest, most godly men that you or I will ever meet in this life. He is a good and humble servant of the Lord and sincere about his work of leading the church, his family and love of God. That doesn't make him right about his endorsement of Kamala, nor his previous thoughts about the Mormon church and COGIC's relationship with her (at one time) but please don't confuse his politics or zeal with what I believe is his heart. Everyone is subject to mistakes and our Bishop is no more or less subject to mistakes than any man.
With That Said...
I would like to say that the Black Pentecostal church has never really gotten past some of the things that occurred during the Black Codes and Jim Crow era...
The facts are that laws and sentiments during those times and that era were such that Blacks and Whites did not and could not legally fellowship even in religious settings.
This began the advent of Camp-meeting...Camp-meeting was created to take fellowship outside of the City, into the woods under open air tents where Blacks and Whites would not come under the scrutiny of the police and the good ole White establishment and separatist leaders. Meanwhile in the City, Black folk were not allowed to fellowship with Whites and certainly there would be no "laying on" of hands...
Many of the early White leaders within Pentecostalism were either practicing or former KKK leaders. These were not byproducts of religion, but byproducts of the State, laws and customs prevalent in the day. We all know that one of the primary leaders of what was called the Azusa Street Revival, WJ Seymour, had to sit outside of the classroom of former KKK leader Charles F Parham, to hear the message of Holy Ghost Baptism prior to him receiving the outpour of the Holy Spirit while ministering in California...Parham's views weren't a product of religion...his views and the views of many of his peers, were a product of socially and culturally acceptable norms of the day and time even continuing unfortunately after their alleged conversion experiences.
The "young COGIC leaders" in their letter of rebuke (of an Elder by the way) claim that this relationship rooted in racial segregation was an erroneous biblical interpretation claiming that the Black church was born because of it:
"The Black church is a byproduct of a nation that refused to acknowledge the inherent value of Black lives. It was birthed in an era that actively rejected the sound doctrine of Christ, replacing it with doctrines that upheld segregation and inequality"
That is just a patently false statement! In fact it wreaks of the Marxism of the now defunct Black Lives Matter movement and as such should be wholly rejected.
There was no biblical doctrine or manufactured theology that upheld segregation at any time. Yes, there were certainly people who abused scripture, as they do today, to uphold their beliefs and even cover their sins, but they also abused natural science to do so as well, some even claiming that women were less smart because they had smaller heads and therefore smaller brains for example. Perversions of truth are accepted in nearly every generation. Biblical perversions are no less.
Racism was a cultural belief with its roots in materialism, naturalism and cultural acceptance and practice. Darwin's belief that there were "favored races" was the root of his theory of evolution which was extant and generally accepted as a cultural norm and the epitome of science. The eugenics of abortion policy was rooted in these separatist beliefs and made Blacks the target of extermination by Margaret Sanger's "Negro Project", the outgrowth of which has been embraced by the democrat party all with very little pushback from young or old COGIC leaders or the Black church in general. In fact the Black church has, by her silence, allowed the abortion industry, promoted by the democrat party, to whittle down our numbers and representation to oblivious levels.
America engaged a Civil War because the growing ideal and value that Black lives mattered and those sentiments were inspired by Biblical moral values. While it has taken something to actualize that value, aka: the value of freedom and equality, the fact is that biblical doctrines and beliefs were and are what inspired positive change in this country and it is biblical scriptures that have been used to lift people to freedom and equality and not the other way around.
Contrary to the "Young COGIC Leaders" claims it was Biblical doctrines that encouraged White segregationists and supremacists to LEAVE their views of racism and segregation and embrace the unity and brotherhood of all men regardless of color...It was Christian and Biblical principles that were and still are the root of the fight against racism both among Whites and Blacks and the interpretation of scripture that continues to help folk understand and bypass cultural norms in favor of scriptural truth and equality and unity of all men.
YES, The 1912 Pentecostal Separation
Culture and culturally commensurate ideals and values, as well as State and local laws affirming segregation would lead Bishop Flowers and the Assembly of God (mostly White Pentecostal congregations led by White ministers, most ordained and commissioned by CH Mason) to split from the Church Of God In Christ which was led by Black leaders, as stated, primarily Bishop CH Mason. Contrary to what the "young Black COGIC leaders" contend, segregation and racism IS NOT the reason that the Black church exists...GOD is the reason for our existence, not a twisted or corrupted form of biblical interpretation.
Very Sensitive
To have presented such a "lofty" case that makes the assertion that the "world" and happenings in it are so beneath the mission of us within COGIC, we obviously were earthly offended cannot stand criticism. Primarily, in this case, it is because the critics as we see them, are White.
That leads to another observation that these young leaders are accusing Elder Donnie of IDOLOTRY while doing the same...This is really sickening...It seems that in order to be considered a respected "Black political leader" in most instances, one has to embrace the worst, most evil and vile social positioning, at least so it seems. Like Obama, who was welcomed into COGIC circles, Kamala endorsed all of the things Elder Donnie mentioned, but the young leaders and old leaders by far and large, said nothing about those things, and as stated, and appear to assert that we are one some ethereal plane above everything that matters in this world. That is ridiculous. Elections matter. Kamala was there because these things matter. They matter to every individual, the community and the church.
Conclusion
Clearly, the Biden/Harris administration jacked up our country for all of us, spiritual or not, in just a short period of time and given more time would have jacked us all up even worse, not to mention endless wars and over 300,000 MISSING children of illegal immigration...but not a word on any of those things from these "young COGIC leaders"....
This is ridiculous. Where are our moral values and desire to allow the Bible to speak to our values, and POLITICS, instead of the culture speaking to our values with the "go along get along" mentality???
I would agree...IDOLOTRY is an issue...It is the IDOLOTRY of defending or attacking a person based on race and not based on truth. Bishop J Drew is eloquent and doesn't need me or anyone else speaking to defend him...he is capable...but in our zeal, I wonder do these young leaders think that it is a good thing to defend what isn't biblically defensible???
Well, I guess one could say, that Donnie attacked "us" first...that he rebuked our leading Elder...OK...that is an argument that can be undertaken...But one cannot deny the substance of what he was saying...The Black Church, has embraced some of the most liberal and idolatrous positions on subjects, and politics has not been a good for us. We have endorsed and embraced some of the worst political ideology in the name of embracing and loving people and that has not worked out well for our yet suffering communities and yet suffering people and yet overburdened churches.
One more thing, I saw Donnie McClurkin addressing this issue and claiming that he had already "forgiven" Donnie Swaggart...Well, you don't need to forgive him Elder McClurkin...THE GIFT AND CALLING OF GOD IS WITHOUT REPENTANCE!!! (Rom.11:29) As far as I know, Elder Swaggart isn't making an apology to you or asking you to forgive him for speaking the truth...Sorry...That is not how it works!!!
Young COGIC Leaders, I appreciate your zeal. I don't know what General Assembly rule adopted your formulation, but I wish that EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU had the same zeal for NATIONAL VICTIM'S ADVOCACY in this church as you have for standing for....What were you standing for????
In a time so filled with opinion on every side of the issue, Dr. Tony Evans has taken the time to put together a refreshing series of teaching on Kingdom Voting.
We have had some of the most scripturally corrupt narratives emanating from some of the leading Christian organizations, it is good to finally hear someone else who approaches politics and voting from a Kingdom perspective and who promotes a biblical understanding of how the future is shaped through the life of the believer.
Frankly, this election cycle breaks down to 4 areas of importance to me
1- Freedom and its definition
2- Abortion and the right o the unborn to life
3- Israel & America's relationship to her
4- Civil anarchy and dissidence
First, as Dr. Evans points out, there is no freedom without a foundation of biblical morality and values. I don't care what any atheist or materialis says, as I have listened to participated in thousands of hours of debate on the subject, the biblical basis and foundation for freedom is basic and primary to every society in which freedom is the essential or primary value or virtue and materialistic constructs of freedom, justice and equality only borrow from and mimic biblical constructs of these concepts. They, materialistic ideas, cannot and do not stand on their own and there is and remains to be NO materialistic justification for these values. Plain and simple, the Democratic party, and Joe Biden in his FLIP-FLOP, WISHY-WASHY platform in which he lies and changes positions to suit the crowd that is at hand, DOES NOT value or contend to contain the foundation of biblical moral values and certainly accepts homocratic values (values based on the subjective directives of men and mankind) espoused both by the Democratic platform and those of his most radical associates. Further, as stated, Joe has openly proven that he will say and accept anything to make a good sound bite.
Secondly, it is highly inconsistent to hold that life is valued when the lives of the most innocent aren't. Yes, life considerations should be from PRE-BIRTH to grave. The contention that a person (a woman in particular) has power over her body is certainly true, but IT IS NOT TRUE that she or anyone else has the right to indiscriminately kill the unborn. Democratic leaders embrace baby murder, even late-stage partial birth abortion which is simply murder by another name. The bible says that Jesus was a "CHILD" in Mary's womb, (Is. 7:14, Matt.1:23) not a clump of insignificant cells. Further, God has a relationship and identity of the unborn (Jer. 1:5) and EVERY life, no matter the quality of that life, is valuable to God.
Third, for 8 years under President Obama, the United States ran from relationship to Israel, In fact they treated Israel as hostile and an invader of their own land favoring Palestinians (which there has never been a country of Palestine) over Israel and her right to her land. Under Donald Trump America, like never before, acknowledged JERUSALEM as the Capitol City of Israel, against world sentiment and moved its embassy there and due to brokered economic peace, Israel is now the center of peace and expanded relationships with neighbors who previously vowed to harm the state. This is unprecedented, and the news underplays this greatly, but it is a Kingdom principle found in the book of Genesis...
Gen. 12:3 ~ And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
America has aligned itself with the blessings of God and a reversion will certainly remove these accomplishments.
Fourth, the critics blame anarchy that we have seen around the country and in many larger cities, on the alleged racism of President Donald Trump. The fact of the matter is that the person responsible for the reversion of millions of Blacks to the Democratic Party, President LB Johnson, was and continued to be one of the most racist individuals and Presidents in history as detailed HERE. Presidential racism is not the cause for anarchy. Leaving the foundation and principles of biblical freedom and wanting to revert to socialism and even communism is the reason for unrest. The anarchists, have no values of freedom and hate what is true and right and the FREEDOM, through struggle that this country stand for.
Listen I could go on, but I would like you to take the time and listen to this highly important series. I believe it will bless you greatly.
I have wondered for years why the Black community seems to be readily accepting of abortion. Statistics say that Black women abort their fetuses to the tune of nearly 1,450 per day since abortion was legalized in 1973.
Although Blacks (men and women) account for approximately 13.2% of the total United States population, they yet account for over 20% of all abortions (11 million out of the estimated 50 million abortions) performed since 1973.
These are ASTOUNDING numbers!
I contend that historically there may be 2 startling reasons that abortion is such an accepting act among Blacks. I propose that the first may be that Dr. Martin Luther King, the champion of modern civil rights himself, received the Margaret Sanger Award In Human Rights, issued by Planned Parenthood in 1966. At that time, Planned Parenthood lauded Dr. King for lending his voice to "worldwide voluntary family planning" and for:
Coretta King Receives
Sangar Hunmanitarian Award
for Dr. Martin L. King Jr.
"unique qualities of understanding, compassion and bravery, and for his wise and unwavering leadership in securing for all people their basic human right to knowledge, dignity and opportunity that are a fount and principle of Margaret Sanger's life, this award is presented" ~ HERE
The very association of Dr. King to Margaret "EUGENICS NEGRO PROJECT" Sanger is sickening. Here we have a woman that did all she could to limit the growth and development of the Black community in particularly through targeted abortions and other methods, associated with a champion of justice, liberty and equality for the same group of persons that Sanger, through Planned Parenthood, targeted...YUCK!!!!
Nevertheless, it may be that this "association" is the backdrop of the historical acceptance of abortion among Blacks.
IN ADDITION
Another reason for the acceptance of abortion among Blacks may be the historic endorsement of a woman's "right to choose" by the NAACP. Recently, the Radiance Foundation referenced and severely criticized the NAACP for its position of "right to choose" by displaying an NAACP 1967 Resolution endorsing "family planning, and a subsequent 2004 Resolution of the NAACP endorsing the 2004 March For Life, in which abortion supporters from around the world marched on Washington DC to demonstrate their support of abortion.
"Board Chair Julian Bond said, "This is an issue of equal rights, and we are pleased to join those insisting on a woman's right to control her own body." ~ Feb. 2004 NAACP Press Release
In their 2004 endorsement of the pro-abortion movement, the NAACP traced their endorsement of a woman's right to choose (aka: abortion) to the 1920's, and its founder W.E.B. Dubois, in essence equating the abortion issue to an issue of "equal access" as opposed to a moral issue or an issue damaging to the Black community and Black women in particularly. even when exposed the NAACP stood by its rhetoric claiming:
“On the issue of abortion, NAACP has not supported abortion but rather supports a woman’s right to choose. NAACP’s decision not to support abortion has been influenced at least in part by the strong religious values and beliefs held by many of those in its leadership, including leading members of the clergy from across the United States.”
This statement was no more than an equivocation on the issue using semantics to cover up the real truth that the NAACP endorses abortion in the guise of a 'woman's right to choose".
Needless to say, the linking of the NAACP to this issue, by web posts and acronym associations from the Radiance Foundation such as:
National Association For The ABORTION of Colored People
National Association For The Advancement of CERTAIN People
National Association For The AGITATION of Colored People
National Association For The ANIMOSITY of CONSERVATIVE People
NOT ACTUALLY ADVANCING Colored People~ (THE BEST ONE IN MY OPINION)
were also not welcomed by the NAACP and they wanted vengeance!
1st Amendments Rights & FREEDOM OF SPEECH UPHELD!
In response to the Radiance Foundation's linking of the NAACP to the message of abortion and shedding light on the issue, the NAACP sued the Radiance Foundation, claiming that Radiance had acted improperly by linking their organization to abortion advocacy. This was in effort to clearly deny the Radiance Foundation's 1st Amendment rights to expose the issue and educate the public that the NAACP was indeed a proponent of abortion under the guise of a "woman's right to choose". It seems that the NAACP simply wanted Radiance, and anyone else, to basically shut-up...
In an UNANIMOUS May 2015 decision against the NAACP, the Radiance Foundation's rights of freedom of speech were upheld by the court. One can hear the Court Arguments on the issue HERE
KUDOS to the Radiance Foundation for taking a stand for the right of Freedom of speech and against the dearth of abortion which is killing Black America. The Radiance Foundation's victory and timeline can be found HERE
Final Word: INTOLERANCE!!!
Fascism is a governmental polity or system that is authoritarian, and intolerant of alternate views or practices. A fascist can be said to be a person who endorses fascism or one who gives fascism legs. Since they fought opposing views so vehemently, and since they continue to suggest that those who don't agree with their positions are "not really Black" or do not represent the views of Blacks across America, can we ask the question, "Is the NAACP a fascist organization?"
For a group to so vehemently fight against the views and opinions of individuals who "dare" go against what that group wants the public to believe about them, is amazing to me.
Election 2016
Fast Forward to 2016...We have a 2 term Black President that has not only endorsed abortion under the same motif as the NAACP, but one who has promoted and proliferated homosexual rights further than any standing President in American history. We have a pending election and the Democrats are by far endorsing and encouraging either an avowed Socialist (Bernie Sanders) or a Democratic liberal (aka: progressive) Hillary Clinton, who HAS RECEIVED THE ENDORSEMENT OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD, and who some actually believe endorses values that "represent" Black America...(even though they "pretend' to be mad at her husband for signing a crime bill while in office that they were all aware of before he signed it)
In other words their definition of "America" is not one where there is freedom to voice opinion and freedom to expose truth and discuss things and call people into question and accountability, but their vision is one of subjugation to their agenda whatever their agenda may be. Notice, their agenda is always without or apart from God or objective morality, yet it always includes the acceptance of the church and church leaders
It is based on how they (whomever they are) "feel" about matters and issues, and when there is conflict, all they do is redefine terms to fit the need and then, if all else fails, they threaten their way to the abject silence of all detractors.
Thomas, known as "doubting Thomas" within the Gospels, told his fellow disciples that he would not believe that Jesus had been resurrected unless he saw him and examined his scars for himself. he was not going to believe if he had not personally examined the person of a risen Jesus. According to the gospel of John, nearly 7 to 8 days later, Jesus appeared in the room where the disciples had gathered themselves and challenged John, to examine his scars, to touch his hands, feet and his side, so that he could be convinced that Jesus had actually risen from the dead. (Lk. 24:36-43, Jn. 20: 24-29)
TRUTH invites examination! The only ones saying "shut-up" and "leave me alone" and don't examine this issue, are individuals who are either demon possessed, like the demoniac(s) at Gadara, or someone who simply doesn't want to be exposed or examined in light of what is really true.
The complete liberal agenda is full of proponents that would trash all rights to preserve their evil deeds...Well, as a drunk once told me...
JESUS is the LIGHT and HIS TRUTH shines ALL OVER THE WORLD!
To that, I say a hearty AMEN!
Blessed!

“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” — former President the Late Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One according Ronald Kessler’s Book, “Inside The White House“
In a recent interview with ESPN personality Stephen A Smith, Arsenio Hall brought up a controversy that stemmed from Jim Brown's statements suggesting that the late Trayvon Martin, who was killed by George Zimmerman who was also exonerated and released, should have been spoken up for and supported by all Blacks around the country and more specifically popular Blacks such as Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, who approached the subject critically and with cautious reserve.
In a portion of the clip, which can be foundHERE, Mr. Smith deals with politics and how Blacks have often been duped into believing and supporting things that they should not, because of a failure to approach certain subject matter with a certain amount of critical thinking. According to Mr. Smith, one of those things is the allegiance of Black America to the Democratic Party itself.
He suggests the historical truth that former President Lyndon B. Johnson favored Civil Rights as a matter of politics and not a matter of moral ethics. While the Republican Party actually favored Civil Rights as a matter of moral ethics, even though the leading Republican candidate for office, Barry Goldwater, did not personally favor Civil Rights as a matter of politics. According to Mr. Smith, this difference was enough to allow the Democratic party the ability to take credit for championing racial freedoms and Civil Rights when in truth, those rights were actually the product of the Republican Party efforts. The above statements regarding Black allegiance to "party line politics" seemed to have been true to form, as the democrats have taken credit for Civil Rights even against a historical track record of being opposed to it.
Star Parker On "statism"
In her book, "Uncle Sam's Plantation: How Big Government Enslaves America's Poor And What We Can Do About It" [Thomas Nelson 2010], social and political activist Star Parker, refers to a book by author and theologian R C Sproul entitled"Welfare Reformed: A Compassionate Approach". In his book, Dr. Sproul refers to a political theory and concept called "statism" defining it as a "philosophy of government in which the state is not only the final ruling authority, but also the ultimate agency of redemption". Star goes on to say this of statism:
"Under statism, civil magistrates can question the integrity of religion and supplant its authority. Federal courts could reinterpret the First Amendment of the Constitution to place a wall of separation between the church and the State. Politicians and judges have sole power to dictate, mandate and regulate all public matters. Civil magistrates can put the federal government in charge of all matters of family, commerce, commerce, and society. Americans can forget about their problems. The government has it under control." ~ Pg. 76
Understanding The Democratic Party
Although, I don't believe that our deliverance is coming from either political party that claims to represent the people, the fact is that the Democratic party has closely aligned itself with this philosophical approach of statism. The government, according to them, is the final authority in all matters and is, or at least should be, in philosophical control of all things.
Unfortunately, after careful examination, the Democratic party does not stand for too many things that I or other religious "conservatives" stand for. Not only have they removed "God" from their platform, (as if God simply vanishes because they do not wish him to be there) but they promote abortion, homosexual marriage, (claiming that it is, in itself, a civil right), they balk at religious tolerance by confusing issues between religious freedom and freedom of worship, assuming that they are one in the same. In addition, it seems that the Democratic Party also wants to keep the poor, and Blacks in particularly, "hooked" and on the system, by championing very little that actually allows individuals to grow financially into a condition of independence and compete on par with Whites and other minorities within modern society.
So far as religion and religious freedoms are concerned, the recent court cases of Hobby Lobby is simply one example of Democratic Party vision for America, and Obamacare is a vision of statism. A vision which says that religious worship is simply an act and not a lifestyle and something that can be compromised away or at the very least subdued by the state.
Can WE break away from these philosophies? That remains to be seen. Certainly more and more individuals are awakening to the fact that "big government" does not solve as many problems as it creates, and it always overreaches and sometimes that overreach has irreversible consequences.
If PASTORS who are called by God, (because all are not called by God) would begin to teach TRUTH again, and illuminate their congregations to truths such as these, we may have a chance at stemming the tide of helplessness through governmental control that has invaded our communities.
Teaching won't make us popular, but it must be done at all costs...as for me and my HOUSE...WE WILL!!!!
Illinois SLUTS for Obama bring "SLUT Buttons" to DNC
Politics has hit an all time new LOW
In and advertising campaign that would potentially embarrass even Velvet Jones, a feminist delegation from Illinois of the Democratic National Convention has taken the 2012 election campaign to an all new low level of mass and utter confusion. Now for the first time in American history, the feminist movement, in trying to pander for votes, has sold and distributed over 1,000 "SLUT Buttons" with demand and orders for more.
"They're going like hot cakes" ~ Barb Brown Illinois Delegate, Chester, IL.
Sandra Fluke
In a move to capitalize on the statements by Rush Limbaugh regarding Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke earlier this year, the "SLUT Buttons" cannot stay stocked as the DNC nears it's opening. Proudly displaying the message that "SLUTS VOTE" with the underlying message "for Obama" the promoters hope to drive home the message that if a women's right to choose is what makes one a slut, then SLUTS they are.
The Ultimate Red Herring
The ONLY problem with that sentiment, is that it is a totally created and made up argument. It is certainly a diversionary tactic. Rush Limbaugh, didn't blame or call Sandra Fluke a "SLUT" for her "right to choose". According to Sandra's own testimony, she wanted the ordinary citizen (you and me) to pay for her NON-MEDICALLY NECESSARY contraception, and testified on Capitol Hill in favor of that provision within what is now called the Affordable Care Act aka: Universal Health Care Law.
Sandra believes that instead of paying for her NON-MEDICALLY NECESSARY CONTRACEPTION, that it should be included as a part of the overall benefits of the law. Rush Limbaugh, in response to her testimony reduced her argument in practical terms, and in an over the top fashion, simply said that she (Sandra) should be ashamed because she in essence wanted the common citizen to pay for her ability to have sex. He went on to call her a SLUT based on her desire to make the tax paying citizen a supporter of her sexual activities. His argument was a TRUE argument based on the facts presented.
So the SLUT part of the conversation and Limbaugh's commentary was never about a "woman's right to choose" it was about the law being used to subvert the American taxpayer, businesses and other institutions into supporting the sexual activities and personal choices of others.
So the feminists from Illinois are at a minimum trying to recast the conversation, by claiming that their opposition thinks that women are SLUTS who believe in "the right to choose".
Not only is the argument a lie, based on a total fabrication of made up and unsupportable facts, it flies in the face of every rational and sane human being and Democratic woman. Can you believe that being a SLUT is now en-vogue for Democrat women?
Poor North Carolina...
Not long ago, the citizens of North Carolina stood boldly to say to the President and homo-agenda promoting organizations such as the HRC and others, that they did not want the sexual perversion of homosexual marriage to change their laws. The citizens of North Carolina stood strong and, thank God, they won.
Now, the state must endure the barrage of people calling themselves SLUTS and saying that they are proud of the designation. What's more, they are calling themselves "SLUTS for Obama", a Black President, when there is already a negative perception of Black men that is a hold over from the Civil Rights era.
I wonder will our beloved President call Kim Hess of Granite City, IL (the creator of the buttons) and tell her that sentiments such as these "have no place in public discourse"?
Or will he simply be happy and say, "I'm President Obama and I approved this message, now leave my SLUTS alone!"
Well Saints it's crunch time and no matter what your political views we have a very important decision to make regarding our next President of the United States.
I will be on the radio in a very special panel discussion Saturday November 1st 2008 on radio station AM 1140 WVEL. The time will be from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 CST. You can listen LIVE through the Internet. Click HERE for the live stream. YOU may also call in to discuss these very important issues with us by dialing 1(800)673-1011. If you are able to call in, refrence that you're a reader of The Dunamis Word. I may even have a special gift for ya! This will also be an opportune time for me to hear your voice and for you to be a part of this very important conversation.
Many have asked the question, "Who are you going to vote for?" and although I don't intend to tell anyone who to support I will lay out clear arguments that suggests what bible believing Christians should be interested and concerned about.
The facts are these: Neither the Republicans, Democrats or Independents are chosen by God or the "party" of God's choice. Jesus emphatically stated that his Kingdom IS NOT of this world. However, we are to be informed as to what issues we are faced with. Such issues include:
The rising tide of homosexuality and the homosexual agenda; who supports it and why?
Abortion and abortion rights; with all that is at stake, can the Christian, especially the African-American Christian, remain silent on the issue.
Are constructive homosexual and abortion rights equally as dangerous as leagalization of such rights?
