Molech Renewal Pt. 3: A Biblical Historical Look At Molech Worship In Israel

The WORD of the Lord:

Lev. 20:1-8 ~ 1- And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2- Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3- And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4- And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: 5- Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. 6- And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. 7- Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. 8- And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Written prior to approximately 900BCE to 700BCE, and recording events as far back as 1400BCE, the word of God was clear in its admonitions against idolatry, but that did not dissuade the children of Israel from disobeying God. In fact, Jeremiah received a word as God spoke against it specifically:

Jeremiah 32:35 ~ And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

As late as 626 BCE potentially and arguably some 700 to 800 years after God would tell his people to forsake idolatry, many of who would be called his “chosen people” would engage and continue in some of the most vile idolatry in history, which would involve child murder as a “right” and other illusive practices for which the people longed for.

From The Top: Israel & Judean Kings Given To Child MURDER

In the divided Kingdom, we also see a continuation of  idolatry in both Judah and Israel, so much and so until God brought judgement upon the entire nation and discarded them from his presence disbursing the nation even for a time.

Let’s start by observing King Rehoboam who, although he was a 41year old adult, yet seemed to be influenced in the idolatrous worship of his mother who was also an Ammonite:

1 Kings 14:21-24 ~ 21- Now Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite22 - And Judah did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins that they committed, more than all that their fathers had done. 23 -For they also built for themselves high places and pillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree, 24 - and there were also male cult prostitutes in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations that the LORD drove out before the people of Israel. (ESV)

As suggested, I am careful to note here that Solomon, out of all the over 700 wives, princesses and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11:3), married an Ammonite or at least fathered a son, Rehoboam, by an Ammonite woman. As I will go into detail shortly, the Ammonite worship system seemed to have included, not only Molechian worship and observance, but also observance of Asherim (Ashera “the queen of heaven”) and ultimately the worship of Baal which it appears to suggest worship and observance of “Molech” and other deities of the pantheon of  false and pagan “celestial” deities.

While trying to assert himself as King, opposing Rehoboam, Jeroboam thought to preserve his life and insert himself into power after Solomon’s death by promoting idolatry and appointing non-Levite Priests to office. He recreated the “golden calf” system claiming that the calves were representative of the God that had delivered Israel through the wilderness, similar to what Aaron did when he succumbed to the people’s request supposing Moses to be dead.

Jeroboam, who evidently was a polytheist, set idols at both Bethel and Dan. (1 Kings 12:29). When the judgment of the Lord came upon his family by his son’s sickness and eventual death, a prophet told him of his evil and what God was going to do by cutting off his seed in the earth. The prophet goes on to reveal this:

1 Kings 14:15-16 ~ 15- the LORD will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and root up Israel out of this good land that he gave to their fathers and scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger. 16- And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin.”

Interestingly enough, one can see that even in Jeroboam’s short tenure, he had begun to allow and encourage the Kingdom to pick up every idolatrous act which had preceded them. It is within reason to believe however, that this idolatry had begun prior to his tenure or aspirations to be king even if subtly.

God warned Solomon that “strange women” would turn his heart from God. (1 Kings 11:2) scripture validates that Solomon honored the gods and deities of many of the women he married and even bowed himself to worship them as well. The scripture points out that specifically that Solomon built worship centers for “Chemosh the abomination of Moab” [The Queen Of Heaven] and for “Molech the abomination of  Ammon”.  (1 Kings 11:7)

In other words, we can see a full bloom polytheism in practice long before Solomon’s death. (1 Kings 11:1-13) Therefore, it is not a wonder why and how the Kingdom slipped so quickly into idolatry once Solomon died. They were already engaged in idolatrous practices from top levels of leadership.

Idolatry Persists In A Divided Kingdom

After Solomon’s death, among the Kings under whose tenure the nation of Israel would be divided and developed, we continue to see a debase worship system and  continued debaucheries endorsed and given an open door. It is therefore not difficult to believe that child murder was common under the regimes of both Israel and Judah.

Ripe Scriptural Evidence:

King Ahaz (Judah’s 12th King) was also dastardly and diabolically evil sacrificing children to Molech:

2 Chronicles 28:3 ~  and he made offerings in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD drove out before the people of Israel. (see 2 Kings 16 to see the sins of Ahaz regarding idolatry)

King Manasseh (Judah’s 14th King) did not follow his father Hezekiah in keeping Judah’s God pleasing reforms:

2 Chronicles 33:6 ~ And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

Additionally the scripture affirms:

2 Kings 21:7 ~ And the carved image of Asherah that he had made he set in the house of which the LORD said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever. (ESV)

And during the process Israel would not listen nor turn from their idolatry. They simply proceeded by their own will, into judgement.

2 Kings 17: 14-18 ~ 14-But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the LORD their God. 15-They despised his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after false idols and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them. 16-And they abandoned all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made for themselves metal images of two calves; and they made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal. 17-And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger18-Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.

The deity known as Molech, is believed by many to have been stamped out and practices honoring him died in the wilderness, or at the very least when Israel began to settle in the Land of Promise. From scriptural evidence, both preceding, postdating and concurrent with Israel’s travels and mission to settle the “Land of Promise”, it is my contention that the deification, worship and observance of both Molech, by many names and even under the name Baal, and Ashera worship, under various names and even under the name Chemosh, as it were known in Moab in particularly, never completely died out.

I contend that worship to these false deities simply evolved, changed, cloaked and revised itself like other such ANE deity cults, adapting into various and alternate cultures even up until modern times. Further, I contend that Israel, even during the 1st Century, a time at which scholars have said that there is ample evidence that Jews were particularly observant of their national theme in Deut. 6:4 “the Lord OUR God is ONE” , the Hebrew Shema, that the culture was well aware of the concept of Hinnom, child sacrifice and murder of the innocents at the alter of Molech and Ashera.

Archaeology:

The Tel-Dan Inscription
Approximately 870BCE

Archaeology at Dan (Tel-Dan) has rendered many finds in recent times. An artifact called the Tel-Dan inscription, is the first historical evidence of King David and Israel’s kingdom outside of the biblical text. The Stela notes the “King of Israel” and the “King of the House of Israel”, and referring to two nations (both Judah & Israel, Southern and Northern Kingdoms) that Hazael, King of Aram, defeated ie: Jehoram of Israel and Ahaziah of Judah (2 Kings 8). Prior to this discovery it was speculated by many biblical critics, that both David and Israel as a kingdom was a myth or tall tale.

Dan is an over 6,000 year old city described in the bible as being one of the places where Jeroboam set up one of his “golden calves” as a symbol of veneration in order to attract attention away from Rehoboam’s Jerusalem (who, as stated, set up idols as well).

Among some of the other finds at Tel-Dan include a scaled down version of the Temple in the North and miniature figurines, apparently present throughout Israel, that archaeologists believe were used to represent false gods such as Molech and Ashera or Chemosh.

In an article discussing the excavations and findings at Tel-Dan, the website  Haaretz.com states the following:

Archaeologists have found hundreds of figurines in Jerusalem and Judah, mainly in the ruins of private homes. Most were depictions of a nude female with exaggerated breasts. Scholars identify these figurines with the fertility goddesses Ashtoreth and Asherah, talismans to help conception and childbirth.”

Although much evidence exists that Israel was into idolatry and various practices including worship of Ashera and even revised, if not out right worship to Molech and Chemosh, archaeologists have concluded that Dan was not “wholly” given to idolatry, but was such a place where dual worship (worship of both idols and YAHWEH) took place and existed.

The Mesha Stele aka: The Moabite Stone
Approx 840BCE

According to to the Mesha Stele, which is an amazing archaeological discovery, and as confirmed in 2 Kings 3, after King Ahab died, the King of Moab, Mesha, rebelled against Israel (2 Kings 3:5). The stele contains a favorable history in which Moab was basically punished punished by their god Chemosh, but was forgiven for past indiscretions and told to take Nebo from Israel. According to the stele, Chemosh, gave Moab the strength to overcome Israel.

Although the Stele never revisits the latter parts of the incident other than to say that Chemosh had directed Moab into victory over Israel as stated. The scriptures however paint a much more broad picture and gives us the conclusion of this particular incident.

Scripture outlines a league of nations (Israel, Judah & Edom) as they went up to fight the Moabites. Although they encountered trouble, such as having to travel the long way around, and running out of water, the scripture outlines that in the end the victory was directed by God through the Prophet Elisha. He was given a message of God's deliverance which centered around telling the alliance to dig as many ditches as they could so that water, not from rain and or from seas, could be retained (2 Kings 36:16-17). The water, which was interpreted as blood by the Moabites led them into a trap (2 Kings 3:23-24), and the Moabites were defeated.

What is interesting, is that the initial defeat wasn't satisfactory with Mesha. He mounted another attack using 700 of his best soldiers only to be defeated again. In light of his defeat he then took his oldest son and sacrificed him to Chemosh:

2 Kings 3:27~ Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned unto their own land.

Once again, we view child sacrifice associated with the worship of Chemosh (aka Molech) as in direct relationship to Moab.

Additional Biblical History

In 2 Kings 17 a scenario unfolds regarding Assyria and the re-population of Israel after captivity. It seems that Assyrians brought their systems of worship to Samaria, which of course, displeased God, causing judgment to come upon the citizens through an attack of lions.

In response, the Assyrians recognized these attacks to be a result of dishonoring the “God of the land” (2 Kings 17:27) and that the people needed to better know how to honor the God of the land. The King of Assyria commissioned a former Danite priest to teach the people how to worship and honor God.

The interesting part here is that even after the people received instruction, they continued to worship their own idols and gods brought into the land:

2 Kings 17: 29-33 ~  29-Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt. 30-And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima, 31-And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. 32-So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places. 33-They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.

2 Kings 17:41 ~ So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

As stated in our previous article on the subject, the confirmation of the survival of these false deities existed well into the 1st century New Testament in both a Jewish and a Hellenized or secular world. In reference I previously said this:

"Tophet which literally also means “the place of burning” is believed to be the extreme southeast part of the “Valley of Hinnom”, is not mentioned as a literal place in the New Testament but appears to be synonymous with Gehenna or HELL or death in wordplay. This place was said to be a place where garbage and that which was unwanted was taken to burn and be consumed by fire. Interestingly, Gehenna is a transliteration of the Aramaic form of the Hebrew word Hinnom. The “fire” associated with Gehenna, never ceases (Mark 9:43-44) and the fire consumes ones “body and soul” in judgment. (Matthew 10:28)"

At Mars Hill (Acts 17), in a Greek cultural setting, Paul was confronted with all manner of idolatry and false worship and proceeded to preach and teach about the alter dedicated to “the unknown god” (Acts 17:23) Though no specific deity is pointed out here, it is not beyond the realm of believability that among the gods venerated at Mars Hill were revised versions of not only Baal, but also Ashera and Molech.

In Conclusion

In a recent debate on abortion and abortion rights, Dr. Willie Parker, who actively aborts children for a living, acknowledged that although a baby in a mother’s womb was a “human being” he or she was  NOT a “person”. He then went on to state that under our system of law and justice that “persons”  have rights and a right to live, but human beings don’t necessarily have the same. Yes, it was really an experience and an amazing expenditure of intellectual currency in effort to rationalize his actions of murder on demand, but the point is that many, no matter their education level and exposure, are doing mental gymnastics in order to make baby murder more palatable.

I simply do not believe that our current actions and even actions and the desire to murder the unborn whether for hire or organically, even prior to Roe v Wade, are simply novel ideas. Our current experience is simply a repackaged and updated version of an age old desire to kill mankind, youth and in this case, the unborn.

Sin Packaged As A Good Idea

Amazingly, the current covid 19 vaccines, which are being mandated, and in some cases forced into people’s arms from place to place all over the world, were tested and developed using aborted fetal cells as I have pointed out in THIS ARTICLE.

I have heard people attempt to defend abortion related to vaccine by saying that many medications were developed similarly using HEK 293 fetal cells. Amazingly, the reports regarding HEK 293 range from “miscarriage” to “elective abortion”, therefore, whether abortion or baby murder was invoked to develop HEK 293 is ambiguous depending upon who you are talking to. What is not ambiguous is the fact that the vaccines were developed also using PER.C6 which is also a fetal cell line definitively and clearly obtained by ABORTION. Many argue that there are no aborted fetal cells in the vaccines, so their development should be of no consequence. But is any of that true?

Should we only value results with little regards to the means or the path taken to those results? Should we only value our societal conveniences as opposed to the methods that are implored to achieve those conveniences?

Historically, and biblically, we can see that since sin entered the world and the first murder committed by Cain, the murder and killing of humans has been an issue. It is a wartime strategy as far as I am concerned. If I were in an extended war against anyone, the best path is to reduce their numbers. Reduce their reinforcements. Don’t let them out of the gate.

Abortion is a wartime strategy of disinformation and misinformation at the highest level. It is simply about  number reduction and ultimately control. These are the same elements that were in these ancient systems of worship of molech and chemosh and ashera that demanded parents to agree in a solemn fashion without emotion and certainly without a willingness to intervene.

Could it be that society’s need to promote abortion is, at root, not about anything other than “worship”? Not women’s health, not about personal choice, not about “my body, my choice”, but about WORSHIP?

With our bodies and minds we glorify God. We do the same when we glorify the devil!

When all 3 of these articles are considered and held against modern society, I pray that it can be observed that this issue is one of epic concern to every believer. The unfortunate part is that within the context of the church this subject is probably one of the least spoken about and least taught. The fact is, teaching and showing those how to save life and especially innocent life, is the root of ministry and service to the living God we serve.
Jesus said,

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that
they might have it more abundantly."

~ John 10:10

The Spiritual Blindness Of Abortion

"Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind.
And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
~ Mt. 15:14

Retired Bishop Paul S. Morton recently tweeted the following regarding the newly ratified TX abortion law:

The full TEXT of the new Texas abortion law can be found HERE

For sure, abortion is THE watershed issue of modern times. Debate regarding abortion and abortion rights are full of issues over freedom and individualism of adults, but it seems that too many of those arguments fall short of outlining the rights of the unborn. That is, in part, because some wish to claim confusion over when a life is actually a life and when that life actually has a right to live.

Abortion has effected the American landscape and society to the tune of an estimated 50 million abortions since 1973 and the SCOTUS decision of Roe v Wade. While abortion in the United States has certainly been horrible and often misinterpreted, other nations, such as China, have done no better and in many cases much worse of the issue of protecting the most vulnerable human beings.  According to a recent report from Al-Jazeera over the last 40 years, forced abortion has led to 336 million abortions or child deaths in China. Currently there are 30 million more Chinese men than women which has caused the government to reassess their child family limitation policy through the combining of its National Population and Family Planning Commission.

The Dunamis Word's View

At the Dunamis word, we are certainly PRO LIFE! From the moment of conception we believe that all human life is honored by God!
Our views on abortion can be found HERE in multiple articles. We believe that a baby in the womb, is a PERSON which has a right to LIFE and should be protected throughout the birth process because God is the ONLY creator of life, and as humans, we have been made and created in his image fearfully. In God's call to Jeremiah (Jer. 1:5) God stated that he knew him "before" he was formed. This superceeds the condition of what science has now identified as a "zygote" (a fertilized unattached cell). Therefore we believe that God is the ONLY giver of life and we therefore acknowledge life at conception.

Some Points Of The Texas Law

Aside from this, The TX law partially hinges upon a heartbeat of a fetus which usually occurs, according to most analysis, between 5 to 8 weeks after gestation. In Section 171.205 of the law, a Medical Emergency provision exists, which allows for abortion in the event of a medical emergency that threatens the life of the Mother.  However, under Section 171.204 of the law the following is stated:
b) A physician does not violate this section if the physician performed a test for a fetal heartbeat as required by Section 171.203 and did not detect a fetal heartbeat.
In other words, it seems that under TX law in certain circumstances, if there is no discernible pregnancy and until pregnancy is detected, procedures that would successfully rid a woman's body of an unwanted pregnancy would be allowed. We are CERTAINLY not attorneys and this point will certainly be challenged but since hearts don't beat from day one, it doesn't appear that this abortion ban is a full on abortion ban. As stated, we don't endorse termination of pregnancy at ANY time, but the law is what it is so far as the law is concerned.

The Bishop's Blindness Matches Secular Blindness

Like all too many claiming to have spiritual insight, Bishop Morton is blinded as to the nature of abortion when it comes to life and rights of the unborn.
Pointing out the alleged flaws of the TX law, Bishop Morton complains that the law, penalizes women who become pregnant as a result of rape or incest, by not allowing abortion. For the critic, this may sound reasonable as we will discuss, however noone wants the pain of rape or incest exacerbated. However, the Bishop has forgotten that although a rapist may rape and a family member may commit incest (which is another form of rape in our opinion), only GOD can give life.

The secular world claims that this is an issue which cannot be forgotten or forgiven and that pro-life proponents are unfeeling and unkind because, for some reason, they wish to believe that most abortions are due to rape and incest.

A Word Regarding Rape
Nothing in this article should be construed as downplaying rape. Rape and abortion are two different horrible acts and a rapist is never justified in any manner. Unfortunately rape occurs. According to the US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS report it is estimated that 302,091 women and 92,748 men are raped annually. They also estimate that 32% of women who are raped are raped between the ages of 12 and 17 and only about 1/3rd of women who suffer violent rape ever seek help or treatment. So rape is an issue and a very serious one that we can address in another article, but by far and large, women seeking abortions as a result of rape are few on a comparative scale.

The Abortion Rape/Incest Myth Exposed. Facts To The Rescue

Interestingly both Bishop Morton and the secular critic are pointing towards the same thing. An extremely small amount of annual abortions for which stats are kept "sometimes". You see, if figures are accurate, abortions as a result of rape and incest represent only 1.5% of abortions annually according to most statistics on the subject.

In our article ABORTION ISSUES & MYTHS, I point out the following:

To the heart of this post and as not to add additional confusion to the fiasco that we are witnessing, it is interesting to note that only 1% of women in the 2004 survey-based U.S. study became pregnant as a result of rape and 0.5% as a result of incest. These statistics are according to Finer, Lawrence B., Frohwirth, Lori F., Dauphinee, Lindsay A., Singh, Shusheela, & Moore, Ann M. (2005). Reasons U.S. women have abortions: quantative and qualitative perspectives. Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, 37 (3), 110-8. Retrieved 2006-01-18. This information offers startling insight into the myth that a high representative amount of abortions are due to rape or incest therefore condoning abortion.

To place this in perspective, of the estimated 50,000,000 abortions that have occurred since 1973 only 1.5% were due primarily to rape or incest. This would bring the figure to approximately 750,000 abortions in which the killing of a fetus was decided based on morally subjective terms. As it relates to the black community, assuming the same 1.5% rate of rape and incest, (which may be more or less) the numbers would shrink from 13,000,000 since abortion legalization in 1973 to 195,000. The average number of abortions per day would go from it's current level of 1,450 to approximately 22 per day.

A website called Abort73.com examines the state of Florida, which just happens to keep statistics in a more diligent manner. Figures state that in 2018 Florida recorded 70,083 total abortions. Out of that, only .14% were due to rape. Although this is very serious, it only represents about 98 abortions.

So Bishop Morton and abortion law critics are bringing somewhat of a mythical argument to the forefront as if most abortions are due to rape and incest, when solid evidence exists to the contrary. It is clearly a fallacious argument to ENDORSE abortion, as the Bishop is doing whether he believes that he is doing so or not, based on the abortion rape/incest myth.

Conclusion

I would first agree with the Bishop that rape and incest are serious issues and one that deserves our concern, intervention and prayers. However, I would ask the Bishop, who can be fed if they are killed in the womb? Who can be clothed, if they are murdered before they begin life? Why is the voice of the unborn stymied, and their right to life ignored and overlooked? Is that at all "Christlike"? Would JESUS deny a baby born of rape and or incest their right of life? What has the baby done to deserve death? How and why are the INNOCENT, punished for the sins (rapist) of an abuser or criminal?

I question whether this Bishop's sentiments are at all Christlike in any manner when the complete picture is considered. How can scripture be quoted, while simultaneously sacrificing children at the alter of Molech? Rape is certainly wrong, but how does murder of the innocent make it any better?

This leads me to the conclusion that THIS CHURCH, or this SO CALLED church, has not learned the lesson that covid came to teach it. If we are not valuing EVERY life and seeking to protect the most innocent in a unified fashion, I am not convinced in any manner whether we even know the message of Christ.

I often used to wonder why Christ said:

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." ~ Mt. 7:23

Listening to people who butcher scripture such as this, I know why. To "never know" someone is to not identify them in nature and or demeanor and or agree with them in any manner. Yes we know the woman and man who suffers sexual abuse, rape and incest must be ministered to and healed, but how can we help through and by recommending murder in its place?

This is not merely a matter of a "flaw" or a "fault". This is a total about face from who the person of Christ is. You mean to tell me, that people can preach HIS name and not IDENTIFY with Christ so much and so until Christ says, "I don't know you!"?

After feeding the poor, sacrificing ones body and whole self for HIS cause, it is possible that HE does not know "you". I am convinced that as a minister, if you don't know or care about the quintessential issue of baby murder and further gravitate towards the world in the misrepresentation of facts such as Bishop Morton, CHRIST doesn't know you! How can he? There is no IDENTITY of HIM in your beliefs as you set them forth.

I am sure, some have been faced with things in this presentation and believe me, I am not one to minimize your struggle or situation. However, I am here to declare that GOD is yet in control of all things and the way that is committed to HIM, though it may be difficult, can be trodden with Christ who is WITH us and IN us as the hope of glory. He can heal and he can fix every broken piece.

Blessed!

Politics, Abortion LUNACY & IGNORANCE

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou
camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and
I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5

Recently, Raphael Warnock the Sr. Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, joined a growing sickening choruse of religious leaders, who for political convienence, have taken time to reinterpret the bible to suit their political views, by asserting that the practice of abortion is not only legal according to current law, but also biblically justifiable and supported.

Please keep in mind that the good Pastor is running for the US Sentate and the views as he has expressed as I will contend are simply party-line views, which I am certain he believes for one reason or another, not to mention the political expediency of the position.

Yes, HERESY and  HERETIC 101!

Instead of following the BIBLE, which is a believer's first obligation, this pastor is clearly caught following democratic, party line, politics and the same flawled reasoning that abortion itself, is somehow tantamount to healthcare, and that a woman's right of choice extends to murder or to the taking of life of the unborn.

Pastor Warnock stated:
“I believe unequivocally in a woman's right to choose, and that the decision is something that we don't want government engaged in – that's between her and her doctor and her minister. And I will fight for that in the United States Senate, and at the same time continue to fight so women can receive the kind of services that they need in order to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy babies. We have a maternal death rate in this country that is exceedingly high, particularly to be the richest country in the world.”

As you can see, the pastor believes in a zero sum game. Unknowingly, affirming party line rhetoric, he apparently unwittingly (or maybe purposefully) embraces the exclusion of the father from the decision to abort, or the murder an unborn fetus, which is another fatal flaw of the abortion rights crowd as they never venture further than "a woman's right of choice".

The Pastor's statement also affirms that "life" is not as valuable as God says it is. Apparently, in his view and the view of his party, "choice" is greater than the "right to live" of and persona that can only be determined to be an entirely seperate and wholly individual human being. To make things worse, the good Pastor incorporates a totally different issue other than the right to life of the unborn, by associating the complications of pregnancy, which occur more abundantly in Black women in particular, against the right of life of the innocent.

A HODGE PODGE of Confusion

Dissecting this confusion is not as complex as it may seem, especially when the essential nature of man and purpose of God is considered, as I will discuss shortly.

First, there are a couple of issues to clear up as most people have no clue as to what is really going on as it pertainst to abortion and abortion issues. However, a woman's right of choice, or anyone's right of choice, does not extend to the MURDER of another individual especially the murder of the innocents.

An argument seeking to make "choice" and "murder" morally equivalent is what is called an argument of a false equivalacy. In this case it is  rehearsed to downplay that fact that a baby is being mudered at or during the abortion process, seeking to make the act less morally repugnant and therefore more socially acceptable and exalting "choice" as the premiere act or action and the motivation for what can only be called murder. ie: this is the justification of evil and the immioral act of baby murder.

Secondly, another issue that the Pastor raised was the disparity of actual physical health and wellbeing of the pregnant mother during pregnancy. Now, to be fair, Black women in partucularly, for some currently unknown, but speculative medical reasons, have a higher rate of mortality during pregnancy and child birth in particular than nearly every other ethnicity. From this perspective "pregnancy" is certainly an issue of women's health and should be considered.

Digging Deeper

Examining this further, according to the CDC and as noted in a 2015 study funded by the BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION (please keep that in mind) and published by The Lancet (keep that in mind as well) found that Black women are 3 to 4 times more likely to die from pregancy related causes than White women. As noted by Dr. Ana Langer director of the Women and Health Initiative at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, at Heart.org, many of these deaths during pregnancy are preventable with proper care. Specutively, the lack of quality care and racial disparities are to blame for this disproportionately negative outcome and high mortality rate among Black women. Currently, the whole argument falls under the perview of "systemmic racism" which seems to permeate every facet of our society according to some and is responsible for everything that the Black community currently suffers and or experiences. (surprisingly enough it is White people championing and carrying this idea on-but that's another article)

However, upon examination, the unhealthy pregnancy argument really should not be or has nothing to do with abortion per se. Although this concern may drive a certain portion of abortions, it has everything to do with a woman's ability to care for and take care of her body, therefore insuring optimal health both prior to and during pregnancy. In other words, it is NOT the baby nor the pregnancy that is creating the mortality risk, it is the LIFESTYLE and other physical factors that is determining the overall health of the woman aside from pregnncy. This is a very important distinction, as many who speak on this assume that Black women simply are are more of a health risk during pregnancy because of the pregnancy itself, and that is NOT what the evidence states and or affirms. So at best, this is a false narrative and a myth perpetuated to "scare" women into abortions especially early on in their pregancies.

Amazingly enough, the primary cause of abortion remains ECONOMIC in nature. MONEY is the issue and the primary concern when it comes to sustaining a child or "feeding another mouth". The perception is that the baby will be a financial or lifestyle "inconvenience" of some sort.

According to a 2019 article at theBMJ.com 75% of women requesting abortion in the US are in poverty or in the low income bracket and the poorest 12% of women account for almost 50% of abortions and the poorest 30% for 75% of abortions.

It seems that neither of Pastor Warnock's arguments hold up under scruitiny. Now, let's look at his greater assumption that abortion is consistent with both biblical theology and biblical morality. Does such a connection exist?

Essentialism vs Existentialism

Prior to the passing of the late Bishop Robert Sanders formerly of Illinois Third Jurisdiction COGIC, I had the opportunity to minister at both of his churches on a particular Sunday AM as he would ask me to do on rare occassion.

Believe it or not, on a Sunday morning in a church known rather for shouting, dancing and speaking in tongues more so than for philosophical centered Sunday AM messages (not that Bishop's messages were not deep, as they certainly were and will be missed by me in particular) The Lord gave me to talk on the difference between Essentialism and Existentialism and show the people why we must live according to HIS will and not our will.

What many did not previously know in the terms I presented, was that the BIBLE is an Essentialist book and that God is an Essentialist God! However, we live an Existentialist reality or a world seduced into believing or constructing existentialist moral values. Quicky, Essentialism centers around what God has created in you or called one to do or purposed one to do, whereas exestintialism centers around what one chooses to do and or become.

Jeremiah 1:5, as quoted above, is the epitome of essentialism or essentialist thought, and reveals our, man's, nature and existence as not one of a series of cosmic accidents and or random processes, such as those we find taught by Charles Darwin in his 1859 thesis "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life".

The BIBLE teaches that we are PURPOSED, divinely and transcendently set in order, and as Jeremiah reveals, that is done prior to knowledge of self or self effacacy. We have been "communicated" to by God and born into this world with both identity, mind and mission.

Whereas the Existentialist would contend that "life is what YOU make it" and that you make your own destiny and purpose and that you have the ability to handle yourself or do what you wish to do and finding satisaction in doing whatever you wish to do is the greatest good. You create your own journey. This is the carnal minded man's answer for his rejection of God, HIS kingdom and HIS plan.

Question: What does this have to do with abortion?

Answer: EVERYTHING!

If the good Pastor affirmed what the BIBLE actually taught at just that point, that we are all born with an ESSENTIALIST nature, or one that is PURPOSED by God from the moment of conception, I

am nearly certain he would see the staunch and magnanamous error of his ways, by contending that the message of abortion is tantamount to, or consistent with the BIBLE message regarding the value of life. He would certainly REPENT and RECANT his notion that "choice" of a woman or man, to murder anyone, in particularly the most innocent and vunerable among us, can be done without incurring the wrath of God.

I am nearly certain, that if the good Pastor fully understood, that as human beings our very existence is rooted in the ESSENTIAL or PURPOSEFUL mind of God, and that even a baby enjoins the same rights of PURPOSE and ESSENTIAL nature as a creation of God, who is the ONLY author of life, that he (Pastor Warnock) and those SEDUCED into believing him regarding his shoddy message, would abandon their arguments and position that abortion is in line with a BIBLICAL construct on the issue of human life.

I am almost and nearly as sure that YOU, after coming to understand the ESSENTIAL nature of your own being, knowing that you, like any and every baby born or conceived, are not some cosmic accident or a simple piece of flesh meant to be excized from the womb as if you were a disease, would greatly stand in favor of the RIGHT OF THE UNBORN TO LIVE because even they (YOU) have a purpose for existence...

As we can see, Pastor Warnocks position on abortion is in no way consistent or compatible with the BIBLICAL position of the individual right to life that ALL men have since conception. There is no biblical theology that Pastor Warnock can pose that affirms his position and therefore his position is flawed and should be jettisoned immediately, even if the party that he embraces rests on such anti-human and anti-God rhetoric.

Conclusion

A friend of mine shared that believers of a pentecostal/holiness church were in strong debate over the issue of abortion when this pastor made this politically centered (not BIBLE centered) argument. He shared that the "SAINTS" or should I say "AINT'S" were in agreement that abortion was acceptable and should be considered a form of contraception and wasn't that bad...I would say to them and to you if that is your position...YOU ARE NOT A REPRESENTATIVE OF CHRIST! I don't care what the church name is over your door. You are a SAD example of BIBLICAL  salvation and that salvation is not in your heart. For the endorsement of the murder of the innocents  tells me all that I need to know about who you really are and what is in you. Call it "judgement" if you will, you too are judging just to make that assessment now aren't you???

Some will say, "Preacher, I am in error, and I really didn't know"....WELL....NOW YA KNOW!!!

Blessed!

The Right To Live. The Ultimate Human Right. A Dunamis Word On The Issue

Over the years I have written multiple articles on abortion and abortion rights, examining the issue in light of both biblical truth and societal results.

In my article "Abortion Issues And Myths" I outline the fact that since Roe v Wade
became law in 1972 Americans have aborted an estimated 50 million babies and nearly an average of 1,400 children per day within the Black community alone. Not only has this decimated America from a Human values standpoint, it has also done the same from an economic cost as well. For example, although the Black community comprises only 13% of the US population, in 2014 Black women accounted for 36% of all abortions. Other statistics clearly point out that Black Americans are no longer the leading minority in the US by number, and strong arguments can be made that this is due to high abortion rates and low birth rate among Black families. From an economic standpoint, this suggests that wealth within the Black community in particular and ultimately within America is not being replaced at adequate levels to sustain the community. I think a brief look at most of our urban epicenters around the country bears out ample support for that argument on many different levels.

The Right To Live. The Ultimate Human Right

The arguments supporting abortion as an institution are nothing new. The arguments often confuse issues of human rights with issues of quality of life. For sure, the right of every human being to live, exist or have a right to life, is the #1 HUMAN RIGHT'S issue in the world. However, no liberal human rights organizations will undertake this argument, therefore displaying their absurd hypocrisy as human rights organizations. Where is the voice of the HRC, or GSLEN in the HUMAN RIGHT of human being to live and exist? Their voices DO NOT exist on the issue because they (the so called human rights organizations) are and have always been FAKE NEWS!

Resurging & Failing Arguments For Abortion

Seeing, feeling and hearing that the writing is on the wall, signaling the end or at least "modification" of abortion within America, the left has renewed the fight to kill babies under the law by mingling their arguments with chants of "women's rights", "women's health", a "woman's right of self-determination of her own body" and has further renewed the assumption that "no one wants a rapist's baby" or a "baby of incest". The fact is that the prior statements don't apply to the argument as they are "quality of life arguments" as opposed to "human rights" arguments as they have been applied by pro-abortionists (as I will explain later in this writing) The latter statements or sentiment is not accurate and further diminishes life. The truth is that it is estimated that less than 1.5% of all abortions are due to rape and or incest. So to use rape and incest as a "reason" for abortion is not only a spurious and dubious argument, it simply cannot be supported by the factual data that exists.

Simultaneously, the abortion argument has not changed as many of the same individuals who encourage it remain silent about late term and partial birth abortion which is a more visible forms of abortion that provide ample evidence that a human being is actually killed during the abortion process and through a process that has been ratified as being "legal", but yet barbaric and murderous.

A Dunamis Word

In recent days I undertook to speak out on the issue on Facebook yet once again. Here is what I said:

"JER. 1:5 - Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
I will go more in depth on this but I was awaken early to share this tidbit of info. on the subject of life and abortion which has recently come front and center in this nation once again.
It seems to me that there are some things that everyone agrees on. That life is valuable, freedom should be upheld, a woman should have control over her own body and that the innocent and those who can't help themselves should be defended and protected from death.
The problem appears to be the application and point at which our values and closely held beliefs come into effect or play.
For example, is a fetus a part of his or her mother's body or a separate individual even if not so physically? At what point does that fetus posses human rights? Do the rights of a fetus include the right to live and if so when or at what point?
The Importance of Worldview
For sure the answer to these questions are more than mere matters of opinion. They center around what one believes about life and existence itself. So what one believes about what life is and why there is life informs one's opinions on this issue.
For example, if one believes that all existence is purely material, and there is no greater or higher purpose for human existence, one might claim that life is defined as being on the same par as animal life or even plant life with only physiological differences, and devoid of any essential purpose other than what it (the life) chooses to exercise. While there are many problems with this view, which I may point out, notions such as these sre rooted in existentialism. At the core of this rationalization of life is a materialistically centered reconciliation of existence with little to no acknowledgement of transcendent purpose, goals, values or higher existence.
On the other hand, if one's worldview is more biblically informed one may embrace concepts of a spiritual and essential nature of man, individualism and mankind.
For instance, in God's call to the ancient prophet Jeremiah HE outlines that before Jeremiah was "formed" in the womb, God knew him. At the very least this indicates that Jeremiah was an individual prior to his formulation...
A Little Science
While there is yet great debate within the medical community over when conception actually occurs, there is little to no debate that when an Ovum is fertilized by a sperm, all the DNA and other information necessary to create a human being is passed along. In other words, the process of a sperm implanting an Ovum by itself does not right away produce a fully developed human begin, however at that moment the developmental process aka: formulation, has begun.
Back To The Point
God's call to Jeremiah indicated that Jeremiah was not only a material being but also "something" that could be "known". Language of this sort indicates that apart from material creation Jeremiah had a substance about himself that could be "known" or reconciled in an intellectual manner.
This "substance" that can be "known" is what is called "spirit or soul". This is similar to the concept if "ensoulment" in which it is said that man "possesses" a soul or spirit.
While the bible does not teach "ensoulment" in the sense that man has a compartment within him that is spirit or soul, it does however teach that man, in his totality, is a soulish being or what is termed as a "living soul". This is described in Genesis 1 in the following 7th verse:
"And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul"
Man in his entirety consisted of not only material (dust of the ground) but also spirit (living soul). Transducianism is the teaching that since the creation of man as a "living soul", every being subsequently produced by men are also of the same composition and or nature.
Conclusion:
Without a doubt we are influenced by our worldview.
In the case of life the choice is clear. Either one believes that a fetus is a sub par form of life undeserving of an opportunity to live and is devoid of human rights or one believes that prior to even formulation of a body that each being is an individual deserving of human rights, is full of purpose and not merely an accident or cosmic configuration of material pieces.
Abortion is a material process with no consideration given to spirit, soul, purpose or intention. At heart, abortion and it's premise is not about women's health, neither is is a healthcare issue. It is about quality of life and an individual's or being's right to life under what I believe is a properly informed worldview.
Therefore, to restrict abortion is not a prohibition of any human right. A woman's right of choice is in no wise inhibited, any more than a driver's right of way while driving is inhibited by a pedestrian walking.
When placed in proper context a woman's ability to nurture life is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind.
If contextualized in a battle of epic spiritual proportions, one can see why a strategy to kill or inhibit "living souls" from existence has nearly always existed especially since the destruction or subversion of the image of God within man is the goal of man's arch-enemy, satan.
So for the Christian, the notion of abortion and abortion rights is much more than about a law, civil rights, or some ethereal right enshrined or conferred upon individuals through law or societal norms. It is a fight for souls, values and human rights. Those rights include the human right of a pregnant woman to make a choice about her being, and also the human right of a baby to live and grow.
I think it is time to set the record straight not only regarding abortion, but regarding life itself and the very reason we exist as humans.
