The Lunacy Continues

Saints here we go again. It's time for a little comic relief and a whole lot of prayer for the mind...because it (the mind) TRULY is TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE!

With that said, I guess I simply have to go back to the roots of this blog some 15 months ago with Get Right Church & Let's Go Home and Saints vs. Celebrities Pt.1. It was at that time that the church was facing another wave of moral collapse. The Bynum-Weeks Fiasco as it came to be known was spread all over the internet, television and newspapers showing that even those in the ministry had their social and marital problems.

I think we already knew that. We were aware that good, decent and saved folk do struggle in their marriages at times. However, what we didn't know is how actually "crazy" some of the individuals were (are) that are directing the church, counseling marriages and receiving church folks money by the millions per month. Some of these, like the one featured in this article even claimed (if not in words certainly by essence) to be seated at the right hand of God. Unfortunately this same one was not aware that she needed to duck to avoid the "right hook" of man...

Yesss...She's back...The Queen Of The South...Ms. Juanita Bynum-Weeks reborn into Juanita Bynum II...

What In The World Is That?

Essence Magazine recently did an article on Ms. Bynum who was allegedly battered and abused by her estranged husband Bishop Thomas "The Love Dr." Weeks III. As we all know Juanita was stricken in a parking lot with the underside of the Bishop's shoe...or as my friend Sabatha Lewis says, "Beat In The Street With A Cleat" .

Now I know you think I'm probably not saved to make fun of something potentially so serious...and I agree that there is never an excuse for domestic violence and abuse, but I really believe that when we examine this case as we have, we will have to honesty question if any of the participants were ever saved or in their right minds from the beginning.

I say that because these individuals never ceased to exalt themselves. In one instance Bynum claimed that she "was no ordinary preacher like these others", and that she had an unusual gift from God that placed her in a category all by herself...She did this while the crowd cheered and was awestruck over her prophecies that were sometimes kindergarten interpretations of biblical and non-biblical constructs made up to keep the dollars flowing.

She's Back

Only this time she is reborn. She is now Juanita Bynum II. On her 50th birthday celebration Juanita dawned her wedding dress to celebrate her rebirth. She is now the second in a succession of mentally challenged individuals in the same body who love the spotlight and attention.

Pastor Don't You Have Anything Else Better To Do Than To Bring Up This Junk?

Nope. Not at the moment. Besides they have nothing better to do than to do this junk in the open.

Why Is This Important?

Now that's the question a true critic asks.

This is important because Juanita has never repented or apologized to the church for any of her schemes and shams that she has tried to perpetuate on the Body Of Christ. Neither her or her estranged husband have ever stopped one time to address the millions of people that they duped or deceived while they headed global Destiny Ministries. The problem is that people actually believed their lie and now that she is "getting her life together" the people are just another pawn in the grand scheme of things and are expendable.

Just look at the history. After her alleged abuse the next thing you know was that Juanita was off to Hollywood via Oprah's ranch to be the "new face of domestic violence". After she left the ranch (because she wasn't invited) she went on to divorce her husband a day after she said on TBN that she wished him well and hoped to reconcile. Thomas Weeks thought that too because even he claimed that they were trying to reconcile until he got the memo that the reconciliation was off when he was served the divorce papers.

All of this happening and children, families, adolescent and aged alike watched on. Some scared to comment because other said "Well, you better not talk about it 'cause it can happen to you too." TRUE. It, divorce or domestic violence, can happen to anyone, but HOW it happens and WHAT happens makes all the difference in the Kingdom of Christ. Because there is a potential that it could happen is not the basis for true leaders and true leadership to back down from the message of the truth and righteousness. ie: Fear tactics are ineffective and no more than mind and crowd control. What's strange is that seems to be the air the church breathes today.

What's The Mind Behind The Madness?

This is where the true saint comes in at and becomes the most effective. Juanita is in need of prayer and her inner circle will seemingly only affirm her. In fact if I'm her friend there's no way I sit silently and let her put on a gown, carry around a sword and celebrate a birthday like that. That's flat out EMBARRASSING. Look at the mind for a minute. Let's see, when asked why she was wearing the gown Juanita responded by saying this:

• "One of the greatest moments of my life was the day that I married. That day was supposed to be the defining moment of my life when I would show the world that I had stepped into my womanhood."

The world KNEW that she was a woman BEFORE she got married. She had told the world about "No More Sheets" and how various of her body parts were sold and had been sold to men all around the country for various prices. She must have been the ONLY one in the United States that thought she hadn't reached her "womanhood" Let's read on:

• "It was always the original intention of my dress and I refused to let it not be because it was made for me. So I wore it because I felt like someone had robbed me of that right. I waited so many years to walk in it and I wanted to give the dress the honor for which it had been made. My father told me to always face your fears head-on, and since this was the dress that is connected to the incident for which the whole world remembered me, I said that if I'm going to cross over I have to go back and stand in the same place."

What is that Juanita. Overcoming your fear and entering your womanhood through a dress or article of clothing??? Is this a word from the Lord or what???

Then she spoke of the importance of he wedding dress, her rebirth, new name and evolution:

• "...When I stood in that dress for the second time I looked at myself in amazement because I knew the real moment that I waited for all my life had come again for me to define who I was."

Hold the phone. A wedding dress "defined" who she was? Forget what God says...let's all look to be defined by our clothing now.

• "So that's when God gave me my new name, Juanita Bynum, II, because I have redefined myself and been reborn. It was like being given an opportunity to be me again—the new evolved me. I rewrote my ten commandments and I declared that my past would not be a part of any mockery, shame or error, and it would only be a part of my future for me to pass on lessons about my experiences..."

She said God gave her a new name because SHE has redefined herself and been reborn??? Then she "rewrote her 10 commandments" What is that??? That is mental pressure speaking and an unsound mind. Problem is she's still directing the lives of others in this condition, still selling books and still receiving offerings from the faithful...WOW! Now, be careful, because the last celebrity rebirth that we experienced was Kirk Franklin. Soon after he declared his rebirth, he was on Oprah declaring that he was a recovering porn addict. All the while he was an award winning gospel artist. Is something similar in the works for Juanita Bynum II?

Now this is where it could get sticky...So far as the sword is concerned...(And I won't quit my day job to go on a comedy tour) let's see what she says about that:

• Bynum: "Yes, I told my manager when I lifted that sword [during my birthday celebration] I had something on me and that I'm getting ready to fight for every woman I know who has low self-esteem, feels like she can't get herself together or has been made to feel like trash. That fight is in me for real now."

Now I wonder what she's gonna do with that sword. If she reads this we probably all know what her response is to that question, but all I can say is that those who live by the sword die by the sword. The new sword we have is an invisible and all encompassing sword of the spirit and of the WORD which is the only thing able to meet the needs.

Now, I told you 15 months ago that she considered herself a celebrity. When asked about her sincerity in her endeavors what does she say?:

• "People that don't understand the life of a celebrity would say that. You should never talk or fight while your opponent is fighting. Let them say anything and everything they are going to say. I'm a lady so I don't do that. But everybody in their right mind knew I was going to stand up for it with dignity and not like a clown. I had a story to tell. There are things that happened in my marriage that I will never discuss because there's no need. Today, I am married to my destiny and l promise to remain faithful to her forever and always."

In other words we question because she, as a celebrity, has a life that we common folk can't quite grasp. Self exaltation STILL reigns in this lady's mind. Can the church, does the church see it? I wonder. In addition, she was always married to her destiny...that was what most of her most popular messages were about...a self destiny and purpose. Certainly NOT about the Kingdom of Christ.

I do want to conclude by relaying my sympathies for the death of her father 7 months ago. This was another very stressful event upon her. I really and sincerely believe that Juanita has snapped and should be advised by at least one of those 300 people who went to her birthday event to sit down, get some sound counseling, restore or establish a relationship with Christ and don't be afraid to become and be another face in the crowd of the sanctified and blood washed host.

Romans 12:1-2 ~ "1-I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy , acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and accpetable, and perfect, will fo God."

Juanita II...24 Years Later, Strikes Again. Lord Help Us

I began this blog years ago, exactly August 25th, 2007 with an article "Get Right Church And Let's Go Home", At the time the ridiculousness and tom-foolery, of Juanita Bynum and her estranged former husband Thomas Weeks was at an all time and exceptionally funky high. It was just simply messy and totally ridiculous to witness. 

Shortly after her marriage to Thomas Weeks dissolved, Juanita showed up at her birthday celebration in a wedding gown, with a sword declaring that she had been changed. She even changed her name to "Juanita Bynum II" and Essence Magazine featured her as she displayed what I feel was a mental or nervous breakdown. I document that in my article, "The Lunacy Continues". Believe me, I felt and still feel sad for her and pray for her because I know that she was a victim and survivor of abuse. She abused herself, her husband and he abused her as well. What she experienced was horrible, but the fact that nobody in her circle called her into accountability for her actions is sad.

So, for 17 years, through this blog and other venues, I have seen and called out what can only be labeled a TRAGEDY, now called Juanita Bynum II, and witnessed what I can only say has been her serious decline and spiritual demise. Believe me, this is NOT a joke and I don't take it in a laughing matter...(except for the sword part...they would have got the message if she started hacking folk up in Jesus name...LOL)

A 24 year Look Back

It was not so when I first experienced Juanita's ministry at one of Bishop G E Patterson's last "Soul Winner's Conferences" It was exactly Oct. 6, 2000 when I heard Juanita. At the time she claimed to have nearly died on the way to the conference. Here is a portion of that video that proves....I was one in the number... First one crying and all that...

In the second video...I am at the altar, (same place) receiving from the Lord. as I was the first one in this conference to make it to the altar that day, I remember it well, and one of the last to leave...I was indeed blessed!

At that time...nearly 24 years ago to the date...Juanita was into holiness heavily...To listen to her, she was certainly committed to the bible, and the righteousness of God and moved in the spirit of God as much as she was able. Although she still couldn't sing, she seemed to have a commitment to God although her prophecies were highly suspect...like most of them that are on stage at that level...

24 Years Ago, Until TODAY

Whatever was left of the original Juanita Bynum has gone completely off the rails...Watch this:

In this snippet, which I am trying to determine where to find the original...Juanita II presents a new emerging heresy that I will term as "the satan blessing doctrine"...As you can hear, Dr. Bynum now claims that satan, not only "prophesied" to Eve in the Garden of Eden, but showed her how to expand her capacity, or enhanced her, so that she can be used of God and a better benefit to humanity...

This is about THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE EVER HEARD, aside from the complete, backwards doctrine of inclusion embraced by the late Carlton Pearson and the "Homosexual Acceptance Doctrine" embraced, promoted and lived by OC Allen of Atlanta, GA. One thing is for sure...NONE of the aforementioned are TRUE biblical doctrines and each and every person who is seduced into believing such things, have embraced "another Gospel" and will be "accursed" because of it. 

"8-But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9-As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
Gal. 1:8-9

Taking This HERESY Apart

Although I can only review the premise she presented in this very short clip, it is chalk full of error...

First, Juanita claims that satan is an agent of God, engaged in "prophesy"...Now, I would think that even the devil would be insulted with that notion. Why? He is far too ambitious to just be a prophet. He loves himself and wants to be worshiped too much to simply be a "prophet"

In addition, what kind of prophecy could he possibly deliver? When Jesus was rebuking the Pharisees for their sin of self exaltation, Jesus said he was a "MURDERER", "DOES NOT STAND IN THE TRUTH" a "LIAR", "THE FATHER OF LIES" and that there is "NO TRUTH IN HIM"...

"You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
~ John 8:44

Second, Juanita claims that because Eve, along with Adam, believed the devil and fell into sin and disobedience, that she is somehow "blessed" with a "gross" capacity of knowledge, as the devil said she would be, and because of this, she is better fit to birth the "savior" into the world (womanhood vicariously) So, in essence, satan, not God, is responsible for the lineage of Jesus into the world, and is responsible for blessing women to come into their greater self. 

Once again, this is a woefully RIDICULOUS notion that is unbelievable to hear from anyone reading the Bible with a modicum of understanding of the nature of satan and the nature of God more importantly.  

What is equally as bad is that she says this to what appears to be a packed house of women who are charged up and eager to hear this false doctrine. I mean, talking about baptizing people in ignorance and doctrines of devils...in this short clip, that is exactly what you have...spiritual seductions, false doctrine and doctrines of demons and devils in just that quip...

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"
~ 1 Tim. 4:1

Needless to say, Juanita has embraced, not only false doctrine and teaching, but seducing spirits and teachings directly from the camps of devils and demons. Yes, there are many other false doctrines and demonic utterances outside of this and these circles, but the potential to lead so many astray is so high that it is unbelievable. 

For those who are Junita Bynum fans, PLEASE call her into account for her false teachings. Direct her to this blog and its contents. Please advise her that there is no higher authority than the bible itself and what she is saying will not only lead folk astray, but will also promote satan, and exalts him to the places that he wants to be...God...bringing deliverance to the world through and by rebellion and sin. This is a false doctrine and is fit for the Lake of Fire that has been prepared for the devil and all those that follow and believe him. Disobedience is still sin. Disobedience is an affront to God and God will not bless the disobedient. May the Lord help Juanita to REPENT of her apparent evil.

Saints vs Celebrities Pt. 1

As I continue this blog on the condition of the church, I want to affirm that we are not gossippers or sensationalists. We will leave that to the many homosexual and lesbian web sites and bloggers who are criticizing the church at this very moment, saying that they can’t stop their gender bending ways (SIN) because of preachers like those who have failed and had their sins displayed before the world. To those individuals I simply say that you yet have no excuse for the sin that you have CHOSEN and God’s word HAS NOT changed. He has still required all to be holy. (Heb. 12:14)

The church must be aware that in order to uncover and perceive sometimes what is unpleasant, certain truths must be made known so that there can be an accurate assessment of the condition and its cause (diagnosis), a proper forecasting of the probable course and outcome of the condition (prognosis), and finally, under the direction of the Holy Ghost, we must accurately and meticulously set forth a remedy or a cure that will be good for the WHOLE body. Each step is painstaking and delivers insights which one may or may not wish to uncover, but it is incumbent upon the Body of Christ to make an accurate and spiritual evaluation. This must be done with one purpose at heart, so that the body can live, become healthy, and achieve the "good success" that God through Joshua promised in Joshua 1:8.

It’s my prayer that we not anathematize (throw out) these whose failures have been exposed. Jimmy Swaggart once said that Jim and Tammy Baker were "cancers that needed to be cut out of the body of Christ" . A short time later, Jimmy Swaggart was nationally televised on every major network with crocodile tears in his eyes pleading, "Lord, forgive ME, for I have sinned!" So, our criticism must be tempered with the object of reconstructing and reconstituting the faith, lifestyle and temperament of true Saints and true ministry. So that we can be blessed and lifted as a result of the circumstances. We must know this:

• Although Tonex, Weeks, Bynum, and White have exposed themselves, they are NOT the only ministers in need of repentance and will not be the only ones on the national scene that will soon be or are being humbled publicly.
• The failures of prominent ministry figures DOES NOT offer the Christian an excuse to allow sin within their lives.
• True ministry DOES NOT begin with TV, Radio ministry, a concert or a song and a dance.

• Members and patrons who have upheld many of these ministries through tithe, offering, attendance, and faithful support, are as equally accountable for their failure, demise and excessive liberties that have added to their destruction.
  
• Many in the church have decided to live by MAN ALONE instead of GOD AND HIS WORD ALONE.
• Unless we repent, prostrate our hearts before the before the Lord, and make true Biblical exposition the most necessary part of our service to HIM, the condition of the church will only get worse and lead to more moral and spiritual decay.

Look At This:

We already know that Tonex cussed out all the church on his most recent album, "Steel and Velvet", declared that he was a faggot {IN HIS OWN WORDS}, and told all of ‘yall that in 3 years he’ll spark a revival greater than William J. Seymour {The Father Of Modern Pentecostalism} and

He'd reach all the souls that our "lazy _ _ _ can’t reach." {Again these are Tonex's words}

All you have to do is read the lyrics for yourself. I may post the words for you on my next post if you don’t believe me.

Next: Shortly before her fight with her husband, {and I believe that we will see that it was just that- a fight} Minister Bynum said that she was leaving the ministry to enter Hollywood and become an actress.

In 2000 (after almost dying on an airplane of an "unknown illness") in a message preached in Memphis, TN. She (Juanita Bynum) stated emphatically by a supposed prophetic utterance, "The Hollywood Church is DEAD!" I was personally present at the service and have got it on tape.

Now, I suppose that she thought she was the resurrection of the same Hollywood church that she prophesied against years before. Nevertheless, these are the lessons that we should take away from this:

• The desire to be a CELEBRITY (or CELEBRATIZED) is the fast track to destruction for any minister or ministry.
• When self and sin is bound in an individual’s heart no amount of work or natural success can make it just go away.
• God DOES NOT need or use our efforts in order to make HIM look good. In fact, our efforts only serve to make all Christians look bad.
• Humility before both God and men is priceless regardless of our giftings, talents or abilities.

Whether done out of ignorance or maliciously, the Bynum ministry was compromised and further riddled with false teaching, erroneous doctrine, false prophecies flesh worship and self-promotion. I’ll stop short of labeling ANYONE, but I will say that the attributes of Jezebel (the spirit of control and domination) was prevalent for a number of years in Mrs. Bynum-Weeks ministry, and was presented on TV as if it were normal and acceptable. Well, I won’t go into the prophecy that SHE prophesied against ANYONE who interfered in her husband's (Bishop Weeks) FIRST marriage {in which she was somehow the marital councilor by the way}; or into the wedding that showed NO TEMPERANCE or MODERATION. I won’t even discuss the MANY FIGHTS that occurred from place to place and time to time. Sorry but, we simply don’t have time to speak on the CUSSIN’ that they confessed that BOTH of them do during sex. {Why OOH Why?- If They Do...I REALLY DON’T WANNA KNOW! Especially based on this picture...}

What’s even more amazing is that much of this was admitted on TBN during MINISTRY sessions. However, offerings, book and tape sales NEVER slumped. Noone ever DEMAMDED that the Prophetess and Bishop walk WORTHY of their call or vocation. (Ephes.4:1)(Col. 1:9-10)(I Thess. 2:12)

In the case of Paula White, the rejection of her anointing was apparent when she brought Donald Trump and another prominent businessperson before the people of God. Again, this was done on TBN. As if wealthy sinners can offer value to the body of Christ. Noone pointed out the fact that Saul tried the SAME THING when he saved Agag (king of the Amalekites) in I Sam. 15. Saul thought that he could learn something from Agag, and that Agag had some value to offer to his (Saul’s) kingship. This same man Agag, NEVER contributed one ounce to the success of Israel, or the establishment of the Kingdom. In fact, the opposite was true. Agag was one of the greatest antagonists and a direct descendent of them who hated Israel and their God. Again, Evangelist Paula’s tape and book sales for the series never slumped and the community of spiritual leadership never called anything into question publicly. From these two situations it is all but apparent that the following is true:

• The Word of the Lord is not being used as a standard of righteousness or holiness but as a method of teaching how to Live A Better Life AND get more wealth and material…
• Many popular preachers are using their pulpits as watered down platforms from which to teach a "christianized" form of psychology, materialism, humanism and secularism.
• Too many church members and leaders are enamored by crowds, seduced by attention, and materialism and have no or very little discernment of truth, error, light and darkness, or the true power of God.
• In the modern church, if it looks good, sounds spiritual and appeals to our perception of blessing, we anoint it and declare that its blessed and sent by God.

This misperception of truth is what gives place to Hip-Hop{which can NEVER be Holy}, Homosexuality{which has invaded many pulpits and set the gospel music world on its ear}, and Lesbianism {which has turned the hearts of women away from being good mothers and wives and has caused them to seek becoming DIVA’S}.This is what I call CELEBRATIZATION. It is summarized by:

• The need to be seen by those in authority
• The need for the attention of peers
• The need to be in control and perceived as an essential part of whatever’s going on
• The need to know more than everyone else
• The need to be over God’s creation

The devil’s Five I Wills in Isaiah 14:13-14 were:

• I will ascend into heaven
• I will exalt my throne above the Stars of God
• I will sit upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the North
• I will ascend above the heights of the clouds
• I will be like the most High

This is the character that will bring one low and make one desolate. These desires come directly from the sinfulness of the flesh and are heightened by the devil. These attributes are personified and promoted through flesh seekers, flesh worshippers, and undiscerning church folk that have not taken the time to pray, humble themselves and/or listen to sound council and teaching. SPIRITUAL Stars and Celebrities often:

• Marry and divorce frequently. Sometimes it’s like changing socks.
• Have extended separations in their marriages with no resolution in sight.
• Have babies out of wedlock and expect no penalties. {Sometimes, they even parade them in front of the whole church}
• Date and meet up with groupies all times of day and night and in strange places.
• Seduce the minds of teenage and underage girls and boys for their own sexual pleasure.
• Have frequent gatherings and get togethers to CELEBRATE themselves and reaffirm their sins.
• Minimize the importance of service to any cause other than the cause that brings attention to themselves.
• Pay for their position and attention with money and social connections.
• Desire cars and houses with values commensurate to how they perceive themselves. Usually this begins with multi-million dollar homes, overly expensive automobiles, and such the like, at the expense of poverty stricken and spiritually bewildered members.
• Celebrities never are first to speak in honor of the talents and gifts of others unless there is some sort of benefit they receive for doing so.

A very dear friend greeted me the other day and said, "You’re getting’ to be a STAR aren’t you?" I QUICKLY responded by saying "NO…STARS FALL! I’m just glad to be a servant and I’m glad to be able to help someone."

These are a few sayings that the Saints should be aware of. These are oxymorons and CANNOT be grouped together although many of these terms are popularized in today's church:

We Are Crying For You Juanita II...What A Mess!

In one of the most strange interviews I've seen in recent times from a supposed leader of God's people, a version of Juanita Bynum calling herself (Juanita Bynum II) has emerged to to proclaim the resurgence of her ministry life and gospel music career with a production that she has deemed "The Diary Of Juanita Bynum, Soul Cry". The title of which she gained from her "leading" to tell about her journey over the last three years as her soul began to cry out to the Lord while on break in a recording studio.

The interview is filled with so much apostasy that it is almost unbelievable. It's very difficult for me to adhere to what some may consider to be "Christian Civility" as we have been discussing earlier. You'll see after watching the video in it's entirety at the bottom of the page, but for now, let me take the time to point out a few highlights:

Juanita's Death & Resurrection

Evidently Juanita considered that she died when here relationship with Bishop Thomas Weeks III fell apart.  This we do not criticize, but it is a sad shame to play with God. She recites her experience as follows:

"I really had a death experience in the transition that I walked through. It was the most devastating experience of my entire life, and the first Juanita Bynum in that sense did not survive, and all I had left, I said this to somebody earlier...You know when you are in pain when, there are no words, and the pain take you to letters...and my pain took me to the letter "O". I, I had nothing else to say, I, I din't know what to pray, I didn't know who to turn to, I didn't know where to hide, because my face and all of the issues were everywhere. And one day I was in a radio studio, getting ready to do some drops...and the lady had to step out for 30 minutes, and I just, laid my head down on the side of the counter, and I,I,I, grabbed myself like this, trying to hug myself. I was so numb 'till I couldn't feel my own skin and out of my mouth, while my face was layin' to the side, I just started singin'..."

As stated there will be judgement dispensed on behalf of Juanita. There is no excuse for spousal abuse. However, what we've already seen the judgement upon Juanita also for seeking to rise to the top, self exaltation and unrighteous living. God will always display his judgment upon individuals for taking advantage of the people of God. Juanita did that, made money off of the people and continues to do so today with shoddy prophecies.

"I Know What God Is Doing Now In The Earth Realm"

The second version of Juanita continues the first version's assumption and assertion that she is not an ordinary prophetess, but she is a prophetess that has a special insight from God:

"My prophetic anointing is dimensional. It is for the elements, it's for the times, it's like the scripture calls it, the spirit of Issachar. It's a, discerning the times and being able to speak in reference to what time God is  in at this particular moment. What is God doing now in the Earth realm as a whole."

A dimension prophetic anointing? What God is doing "now in the earth realm as a whole?"...Thius is called self-exaltation. She further states that she is not into prosperity prophesying: 

"I'm not into bikes, houses and cars..."

Is that so? That's good but from previous statements she is into $5,000 Pens!

The Message

Flattered by her new association with Beyonce's father, also known as  Matthew "The Baby Is Yours" Knowles, Juanita II claims that the Lord has raised her up to spread "the message" at the direction of a man supposedly full of wisdom:

"...when you join wisdom, with gift and talent and the anointing you have power. And I was honored that he immediately recognized the anointing on my life and the God on my life and his press is, "the world has got to hear this" and he didn't come trying to make me anything but who I already was..."

In fact it is this $20,750 per month child support paying man of wisdom that Juanita II has claimed will be the catalyst and progenitor of spreading "the message" around the world.

"his wisdom recognizes the anointing and the gift that I have, so now the two of us joined together will be messengers around the world."

Look at this picture...a man destroys his family, has a baby with an illicit lover, makes a confused "cash cow" out of his daughter and he is "a man full of wisdom"? He then further "teams up" with "the anointing" (whatever that can possibly be in this situation) and spreads "the message" around the earth??? What Message??? The message of sin, shame, adultery and bondage???

The Messengers Clothes Stay On At Least For Now

Well at least we're glad that she isn't slated to do too much of a stage show like Matthew's daughter and Juanita's predecessor Beyonce:

"I am training though to fly from cables, y'u-know all of that, but I'm not gettin' ready to drop it like it's hot and put strip my clothes off  or none of that."

Saints, I know this is the last days, and over the last couple of years it seems that we've seen much of what there is to see so far as the worst of men and mankind. Now, we all speculated that our dear Juanita Bynum-Weeks would come out with a new leading lady roll in Hollywood, which she tried to no avail. But for the most part, and to my shame, at least I thought that the Bishop Thomas Weeks III would slowly and surely fade to the background and reconstitute himself with the help of the Lord.

Well I guess that I was a little right and a little wrong as it pertains to our dear Bishop.

Ever since Flava-Flav and the "The Flavor of Love" and psychotic spin-off of Tiffany Pollard's show "I Love New York" have we not seen such degradation, filth and just plain old stupidity as people, (men and women) lined up to fulfill their lust for fame and attention on public stage while simultaneously calling and associating what they are doing and feeling with love.

One would make the statement, "Pastor Burnett, that's the world...what does that have to do with the church?"

To what am I referring? I am referring to the new soon to be hit/gospel/reality/dating show "Holy Hook Up" where the felony laden Bishop Thomas Weeks III seeks love from a list of wanting, needing and desperately seeking church ladies that want to be the bishop's NEXT wife? Well, if you don't know, now ya know!

The Bishops NEXT Wife?????

Yes, you read it right. The Atlanta Journal Constitution has reported that Bishop Weeks III will try his hand in the ever popular reality TV market place, only this time it will be done "In The Name Of The Lord"...............WHAT?

Believe me...I see a Geico sign and and I ain't happy. In fact, I quit!

This is from the AJC article: "Bishop Thomas W. Weeks IIII has resurrected his new reality show and this time he will search for a God-fearing wife on TV instead of the Internet. Weeks said the Christian dating series, now called “The Holy Hook Up: Who Will Be The Next Mrs. Weeks?” will document his search for a new love as he performs his daily duties as leader of an international ministry" ~AJC 10/07/2008

This has got to be a comedy show. There seems to be no way possible that we're dealing with a spiritual and serious venture.

The article goes on to say this of the Bishop: "The twice-divorced Pentecostal pastor will dole out relationship advice drawing on his experience as an author, minister and a first-time felon who pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on his ex-wife, national evangelist Juanita Bynum" ~AJC 10/07/2008

So now we have a BISHOP, advertising himself to the world, and women (I suppose church women) that will parade on national TV vieing for the twice warmed over and twice removed affection of a church felon, who received his felony for spousal abuse???? Is this REALITY or fantasy? If this is the truth it is stranger than fiction.

What will a person do for fame, popularity and notoriety? Further what will they do in the name of the Lord for fame, popularity and notoriety?

The Weeks-Bynum fiasco's were among some of the reasons that I began this blog over 13 to 14 months ago. At that time I set forth what I knew God was telling me to deliver and I haven't failed in that duty, but as time goes on I wonder, what will it take to stem the tide of filth that has entered the body of Christ? Is there a remnant that delights in the word and ways of God more than the lusts and sins of the flesh?

Celebrity, fame and self-serving at the expense of God and his people has taken center stage. Then yet, there is a following of people that go on as if nothings wrong. What is that? Witchcraft, divination, or just flat out rebellion?

Listen we know the scriptures. the bishop was supposed to have ONE wife...at least I thought. He was supposed to be even tempered, at least so far as I was under the impression. Then I thought that the method of the Saint's was unique and different from the world.

I'll end this without a theological tirade because this garbage is just plain BENEATH the pearls of the sweet and powerful word of God. However I will end with a scripture reading for your spare time:

The Divination Of Detroit

At the end of 2006 many ministries produced a theme for 2007 similar to this, "God will complete HIS work in you in 2007" Many also used Phil. 1:6 as a proof text for this message:

• "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

Well, 2007 has come and gone and , BOY were some things completed. Some marriages, ministries, churches, gospel singers and folk just caught down right, COMPLETELY in their sins.

They were done and completed like our respective Thanksgiving Turkeys AND Christmas Hams…sliced, diced, cut open and exposed. The only problem is that many of them DON’T know how exposed their sins actually were.

• Numbers 32:23: "But if ye will not do so, behold ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out."
  

In 2007 the sins of the church have been made public sport for the world to see, mock and criticize. Marriages of individuals who have engaged in national and international public ministry and have even claimed to be on the "Front Line" have been shipwrecked by way of fights, spousal abuse, police reports and some even during regular bible study gatherings as church members were told by their leaders "we’re simply going our separate ways, and we wish each other well".


In 2007, Bishops have battered their spouses and some spouses have retaliated by killing their preacher husbands. In addition of all the heterosexual problems, homosexual ministers such as

Then there are others such as openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson who proclaims that there is another gospel that allows ministers to be homosexual and unashamed.

Yet other homosexual ministers such asthe late Dr. Peter Gomes of Harvard Divinity School have said that he wishes that he could have a debate with St. Augustine (354-430) to straighten out his (St. Augustine’s) view and perception of homosexuality which Gomes felt was the only fault in St Augustine’s historical narratives.

Bishop Blake

Yes, my fellow COGIC brethern, this is the same Dr. Peter Gomes who is an open and avid homosexual, that at one point and somehow, enchanted our beloved Presiding Bishop, Bishop Charles E. Blake , into opening up his West Angeles pulpit to him (Gomes) in repayment of Bishop Blake’s invitation to minister at Harvard University. As the song says, "How Low Can We Go?" This invitation was not a good move and has brought about much confusion and controversy within the body of Christ and pentecostalism in particular.

Now, all of this, is in addition to the fact that many of our gospel music stages have been invaded by "gay blades", sodomites, and what the bible calls "Sons of Belial". Now many of our most beloved gospel music figures live under new suspicion of homosexuality and perverted ills from which they once proudly claimed deliverance.

In 2007 materialistic oriented ministries have begun to come under judgement and a new level of scrutiny for leaving their adherents, broke, in need, and by the way side both physically and mentally. Although, the gov’t has possibly overstepped it’s bound and created an unsanctioned redundancy, the message that God will not allow HIS people to be further abused should come across loud and clear. In 2007 many ministries have stopped preaching the Gospel and calling people to repentance but now have turned unto messages of fame, wealth, social and psychological acceptance and personal empowerment.

Now many of us know the problems even more in-depth than I’ve gone into here. Amazingly enough the real problem is that too many of us have failed to learn from the apparent mistakes, excesses and sins that have been exposed in 2007.

But the Real Story...DETROIT YOU’VE BEEN DIVINED!



Juanita Bynum II

In the City of Detroit, Michigan, every Wednesday, until February 2008, at 5:00 AM… EARLY MORNINGS…BEFORE DAY BREAK… Prophetess Juanita Bynum, who has said that the "Lord has led her", is engaged in morning prayer at the Greater Grace City Of David. Under the watchful approval of Bishop Charles H. Ellis III.

In the telecasts aired on The Word Network the week of Dec. 24th 2007, Juanita told the over 2,000 participants that attend one of the early morning prayer services to do the following:  

1. Praise the Lord intensely
2. Wait for the anointing to come.
3. After the anointing "arrives" call out your name in the atmosphere to attract or draw what you need in the spirit.

WHAT???

2,000 SAINTS...get up before day to hear Juanita Bynum, butcher the scripture with a TOTAL abuse of what the anointing is, teach the creation of metaphysical reality through the power of words and promote the so called "Universal Law Of Attraction"?

IN A CHURCH???

What is going on? When will we ever learn?

The "Universal Law Of Attraction" popularized in recent times by Rhonda Byrne in her New York Times best selling book "The Secret", said that the Universal Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the universe. This concept has been reverberated by other authors including Russell Simmons in his book "Do You". Both authors claim that this law is singularly responsible for their success and the success of every "successful" person living today.

Adherents to this law state that your "energy" or "vibrational frequency" will attract others to you that have the same "energy" or "vibrational frequency", therefore bringing people into your lives that will be able to fulfill your desires, dreams and compliment your DESTINY. They propose that negative energy will draw negative energy to itself and positive energy in turn will also draw positive energy to itself. In fact many of this philosophy’s proponents go so far as to say that NOTHING happens to an individual unless it’s drawn to them by their very own "vibration" or "frequency" They even go so far to say that the Bible is in agreement with their concepts in such scriptures as

• Psalms 23:7a-" For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:"

and

• Mark 11:23-24- "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them"
  

Consequently, because the lie has been sanitized for a Christian audience, Christians have followed the apostles and disciples of the lie hook, line and sinker, not considering that what Juanita has resorted to is what the bible has called DIVINATION and witchcraft.
What happened to the WORD of God that has instructed:

• Deut. 18:9-14- 9-"When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10-There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11-Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12-For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13-Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. 14-For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do."
  

Divination is a "foretelling future events, or discovering things secret by the aid of superior beings, or other than human means." It is used in scripture of false systems of ascertaining the divine will. It has been universal in all ages, and all nations alike civilized and savage.

Divination is associated with Spiritism. IN the Bible the word "spiritist" which always appears with "witch." The root of the word in Hebrew is the verb"to know." In modern English "wizard" means someone very wise or inventive, a very clever or skillful person. But in the Bible it is always a forbidden thing, a kind of black magic. This is why most modern versions translate the word as "spiritist," "fortune-teller," or "sorcerer."

For any profit, (PROPHET yet alone PROPHETESS) to encourage individuals to pray, wait for the anointing to come, then call their name in the atmosphere in order to receive what they need; is a doctrine of devils, a seducing spirit and one UNWORTHY of the church of God.

• I John 4:1- "1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
  
• I Timothy 4:1-2- "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"
  
• II Timothy 4:3-4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

Why should the church and church leaders be so interested in this? This is why:

• Galations 1:6-9- 6- "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7-Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8-But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9-As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Part of the commission of the minister is to build up the faith and shore up the firm foundation of the believer:

• Ephes. 4:14-15 "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"

Who is guarding the hen house? The wolves?

As stated above with leaders seduced by the homosexual right and even in homosexuality themselves, we can see that some are asleep. The eccumenism and inclusion of so many things has been allowed that now even spiritism is allowed in many of our churches. Encouraging the believers is one thing, the acceptance of false doctrine and unbiblical practices and them who promote it is quite another.

To whom will be our allegiance in 2008? Have we learned the lessons of 2007, or must we repeat them until the Body Of Christ suffers more at the hands of mislead and misleading individuals?

DETROIT…You’ve been DIVINED. Will the TRUE people of God PLEASE stand up?

Saints vs Celebrities Pt.2

As continued from Saints vs Celebrities Pt. 1 we observe that Celebrities do what they do best...focus on themselves, desire to get paid above all else, and provide inconsistent answers to their problems that are usually displayed openly and before the world. Now, before I go too much further I am compelled to remind you of what I said regarding judgement in my initial blog, "Get Right Church and Let's Go Home"

• We as a church have the right and God given call to discern between right and wrong, good and bad. Paul said in I Cor. 6 that we (Saints)are going to judge the world and angels we should be able to judge the things that pertain to this life. That judgement is not a condemnation to hell, but rather a discernment of truth, right and wrong.

Discernment, is the key to properly understanding and defining these events and interpreting them in light of the WORD of God. We must use Bible DISCERNMENT to fully understand what has happened because only the Word has the standard of objective truth. I was sharing with friends this week that discernment is essential in the church and in the life of every believer. In fact discernment is so important that I Corinthians 12:10 says that "Discernment Of Spirits" is a spiritual gift. Therefore, in order for the church to be properly and fully edified, discernment must be in operation.

• I John 4:1 says, "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:"

How can the spirits be tried other than through the WORD and proper spiritual discernment? Certainly not with some metaspiritual feeling or touchy belief. Therefore, Discernment is the ability to perceive and measure the spiritual and moral implications or characteristic of a circumstance, event or person through the objective standard of the word of God. We must be willing to look at a situation and perceive it plainly and openly as either good or evil, righteous or unrighteous, or acceptable before God or not acceptable before God. There are times when we perceive a sinless imperfection but nonetheless, we should be willing to make a judgement. The problem presents itself when the church offers a twisted perception of truth and declares unrighteous acts righteous and unholy acts holy.

• Isaiah 5:20- Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

When evil is called good and good is called evil the community, and in this case the country, is effected in a negative way to say the least.

We will move on to other topics and discussions, because there is plenty that the church must discuss and get right, but the Bynum-Weeks FIASCO has taken flight and gone to another level of strange and flat out contradiction last week. It is filled with TV appearances, lawyers, divorce proceedings, and press conferences. I also want you to know that I am praying for the repentance and turning of each of the individuals involved in the Bynum-Weeks and White circumstances and everyone who is struggling with similar and/or greater issues. For those who don't know what happened, it goes a little like this:

First, TBN EXPLOITS Juanita's situation and pain by asking her to appear as an "exclusive" special host of Tuesday Sept. 4ths program. As a CELEBRITY (and y'u-know doing what they do) she accepts the appointment and puts on the best show possible. { So I guess that could mean that she EXPLOITED HERSELF}Anyway, you know as well as I know, that Juanita was in NO WAY mentally or otherwise ready for anything like that, but she is a CELEBRITY and CELEBRITIES must entertain. I'll deal with the spiritual arguments that she made in a moment.

Shortly before the show, Juanita held a press conference and declared that she was the "New Face Of Domestic Violence". She then went on to say that she is seeking out Barak Obama to shore up his stance on Domestic Violence {I'm sure he was waiting for her to go through this so he could make a stand one way or another}Then, {and I'm unsure of whether before or after the press conference}, Juanita also receives an invitation to the BIG HOUSE...Oprah Winfrey's California mansion to be with the "A List" or "Who's Who" of black women, during her annual two day, touchy feeley, pow-wow power excursion. WOW! IT TOOK ALL THEM BRUISES FOR OPRAH TO FINALLY LET YOU IN JUANITA...All that preachin', prophesying and tellin' about your past wasn't enough...I guess being choked, kicked, stomped and embarrassed allowed the WORLD to finally accept you. CONGRATULATIONS!

Unfortunately it only gets worse!

During her appearance on TBN (TUESDAY) Juanita addressed many topics as it pertains to herself and the condition of her marital relationship and feelings for her husband. These are some of the highlights and statements that she made:

• "I Won't break the COVENANT between me and my husband" "He is an anointed MAN-D of God"{???}
• "I'm in warfare for EVERY woman all over the world who has ever been through this" {Every woman, all over the world=Self-Exaltation}
• "I don't even feel any bitterness, I forgive my husband and I want the world to pray for him because it's not about that, it's about MY DESTINY" {Self-Centeredness}
• "People don't want to hear 50 million scriptures, they wanna know have you been through what I've been through."- {According to Juanita's revelation why even try to reach the drug addict or prostitute. If you've never been one you have NOTHING to offer}
• "God told me not to listen to any other Pastors because no one else is in the equation, it's about MY DESTINY." {Now, God has given her a NEW SYSTEM of help and instruction...There is no need for the Biblical definition of a PASTOR, God's got her back directly, no matter what}
• Then, toward the end, she heard a "SOUND" coming out of her belly.

I'll stop.

One more thing though. She also received a prophetic and spiritual word that Jesus is giving her a "BLOOD BATH" so that when the demons touch her they'll get "infected". What is that? Is the blood of Jesus somehow now some sort of demon viral-anti-virus? Wait until Pfizer gets a hold of that one!

I wish to commend Bishop Weeks for his APOLOGY Wednesday. He said that he apologized to both his church, community and Christians around the world for his actions and for us having to "endure this ordeal" Although, we acknowledge the fact that Bishop Weeks HAD NO RIGHT to HIT OR HARM Mrs. Bynum-Weeks in any way, (I'm unsure of whether he APOLOGIZED to HER but, the beat goes on {No pun intended}) he seems to acknowledge his wrong and is willing to accept the consequences for his actions. That is a good thing and at least a step in the right direction. As a Pastor, I pray that time will help him make determinations to eliminate any violent behavior from his character. GIVE UP THE PULPIT THOUGH. He needs to be healed and it will take some time to try to straighten this one out.

The part that amazes me here is that during Bishop Weeks news conference, ON WEDNESDAY, while his lawyers were talking, a reporter asked had they seen the DIVORCE papers that Juanita had filed and what did they think. The lawyers responded by saying that they were unaware of any such filing...This is what CELEBRITIES do:

• Say things like, "I won't break the COVENANT" {On Tuesday) then BOOM-SHANK-A-LANK- GRANT ME MY DIVORCE PLEASE!(On Wednesday)
• They often believe that every situation is about THEM and THEIR DESTINY why, because they must be at the center of everything.
• They often look to validate their circumstances with accolades and acceptance of others. In this case Juanita said she asked people to come who would "minister" to her and her needs on the show. This leads me to believe that she accepted this appointment some time before her appearance Tuesday.

I still don't know what the "SOUND" was that she heard coming out of her belly. It MUST have been the sound of her LAWYERS typing up the bill for writing and filing her divorce papers.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

This is ever so important because just the "other day" Juanita was claiming that she was both a "Judge" and a "Prophetess". These are high and significant callings of God and one that does not allow the wearers of the titles to behave in unstable manners and act foolishly. Aside from that, there was a considerable amount of Self-exaltation and oversight over the community of Gods people that she and others in her circle assumed.

First of all, for every SAINT, including Juanita, your home and acceptance IS NOT among SINNERS and Worldly Women or Men of influence. It is in the CHURCH where you began. Men and women CANNOT affirm or validate the SAINTS. They can only affirm them that belong to them:

• John: 15:19a- "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

CELEBRITIES affirm CELEBRITIES...Cliques affirm cliques, but God affirms his SAINTS. One must know that real SAINTS serve the Lord in spite of:

• Attention
• Recognition
• Materialistic Gain
• Accolades or
• Encouragement From Others

The reward of the SAINTS is given from God and by God.

• Psalms 149:4- "The Lord taketh pleasure with his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation."

The reward of the CELEBRITY is temporary and fleeting. The Lord's pleasure is not the pleasure of the world.

The actions of the CELEBRITY are inconsistent, found wanting and dependent upon MEN. The actions of the SAINT are determined by the Lord and offer strength and stability:

• Psalms 37:23- "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way."

The SAINT seeks the path of modesty and humility, while the CELEBRITY only knows excess and overabundance materialistically.

• Psalms 37:16- "A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked."

So who wins in the battle of the SAINT vs CELEBRITY?

It can be summed up like this:

• Revelation 7:14b-17- "...These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15) Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16)They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

Now, don't think for a minute that SAINTS are in a war with the CELEBRITIES. Our warfare IS NOT against flesh and blood. (Ephes. 6:12) However, we must "earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3). I wish you to be encouraged to refuse to allow the CELEBRITY MENTALITY to hijack, redefine and terrorize our faith, holiness and Biblical affirmations. This is why the time is now for the REAL and TRUE SAINTS to take their place within the community, stand up, and show the world that CELEBRITY SALVATION (in the context that we have spoken) IS NOT AUTHENTIC or acceptable to God.

As a Pastor, I refuse to sit quietly, saying nothing, while individuals use the Bible and twist the methods that I hold dear, to take advantage of the meek and sincere individuals who are looking for a deliverance at the cross of Christ. I affirm to the TRUE believer that there are several things that will not stand in the day of judgement:

• Marry and divorce "salvation" with no provocation
• Babies out of wedlock "salvation"
• Praise the Lord and cuss you out "salvation"
• Fornicate/adultery brand of "salvation"
• Worship MY CHURCH and MY FLESH "salvation"
• Excess and Materialistically based "salvation'

No matter what your gift SAINT of God, use it to the glory of God beginning by submitting yourself to HIS Spirit and yielding your members (body) to HIS service.

Final thought on this subject...PLEASE don't look for a TV or "big church" personality or CELEBRITY to bring us (the church) to another dimension...God will not share his glory with ANYONE. I believe that God is raising up "common folk" at a grass roots level, to help bring the church back to its knees and help refocus our desires. YOU are the MOST important element to this move of power that we will observe. It is through your lives that families, schools, and communities will be changed, not through book sales, mega-conferences, hip-hop choirs or TV programs.

Get Right Church and Let's Go Home

This is the very first post I did. I am revising all initial posts with scenery as I am able.

I must say that the comments regarding Bishop Thomas Weeks III, Prophetess Juanita Bynum, Randy & Paula White and the circumstances involved, go from extremely good to extremely bad. I might as well add my little 2 cents.

First of all, everyone NEEDS to talk about what happened at length. Please stop this "touch not my anointed" commentary because it's taken TOTALLY out of context. We as a church have the right and God given call to discern between right and wrong, good and bad. Paul said in I Cor. 6 that we (Saints)are going to judge the world and angels we should be able to judge the things that pertain to this life. That judgement is not a condemnation to hell, but rather a discernment of truth, right and wrong. Yes, we should pray...but that praying SHOULDN'T have started with Juanita Bynum and Paula White.

We should pray because the Bible says that men ought to ALWAYS pray and not faint (Luke 18:1). Not because Bishop Weeks III beat up his wife. Bishop Weeks, Prophetess Juanita, and Evangelist Paula were CELEBRATIZED and caught up in MONEY, MATERIAL AND FLESH. This didn't just start, it's happened for a number of years and partakers of their ministries have contributed to their current situation. The facts are these:Juanita was the main money maker at almost EVERY conference at which she spoke for over the last 10 or so years.

Paula was a similar money ticket. It's reported that the nights they were featured on the programs that offerings usually exceeded $100,000. They made the budgets in most places. Church leaders who have used these women as CASH COWS must repent for not assisting them to place a healthy perspective on ministry and build their HOMES AND MARRIAGES FIRST... Churchgoers, such as many reading, MUST REPENT for exalting Flesh and people and giving them more authenticity than either of them were due...and Gospel Celebrity seekers MUST REPENT for having ANOTHER God and not humbling themselves to the true and living God...As with Jim and Tammy, Jimmy Swaggart 

, Clarence McClendon, Jim Jones and countless others, our folly and silliness in NOT demanding accountability in leadership has set the stage for further problems, while we use cliché’s such as "this too shall pass" and "something good will come from this". Get real, get spiritual and most of all GET BACK TO THE BIBLE...I am a Pentecostal believer and preacher for over 26 years of my 43 year life. Pentecostalism or the style of ministry IS NOT the problem. FLESH, MATERIALISM AND CLICHE'S ARE. The good that will come from this is when we, as a church, as families, and as married folk, talk about everything that has led to this point, discover the ugly truths of how PREACHERS can be on TV, ministering to others while they're creepin', beatin' women, writin' books, drivin' nice cars, buying bigger homes, collecting excessive gifts from the poor, and doing seemingly all the things that makes us feel good about our leader.

What's more, we must discover why we feel that those sort of excesses are essential and necessary for our church leadership, while AIDS ravishes our community, poverty rapes our families, bad education destroys our community dreams, and a new subculture, with its own new standards of morality, lives within our homes destroying the lives of many of our children...Yes, while we're talking, we must discover everything. Tell the whole story.

Bishop Weeks has NO EXCUSE for hitting a woman (outside of protecting his own life)NONE of them have a right to continue ministry as they've done until they have taken time to settle some issues, restore themselves, and get a new focus and direction...I will not accept this "God will heal me as I heal others" NO! These situations are too visible and have affected too many people...It's my prayer that all of the leaders involved will humble themselves, retreat into their systems of accountability, allow godly men and women to oversee their current churches for a season, and come back with clear, forthright repentance and set forth greater measures to safeguard against this happening again. So church, TALK, TALK, TALK AND PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. We must do both to get a grip on this and MANY other situations and circumstances that have invaded our churches, seduced the minds of God's people, and weakened many of our relationships with Christ...

Luke 12:48(b) "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:"

Let's get this thing RIGHT. We may NOT ever be on TV, but we can certainly offer VALUE to the Body of Christ and the communities that we serve by simply LIVING RIGHT!!! (Thank God for Jim Bakker at least he had the spiritual nerve to admit his error. God bless him.)
