Continue to seek and you're...Minister Brandon,

Continue to seek and you're doing a good job. One of the first things that every true minister must learn is that carrying the burden of the Lord is not about popularity or even being accepted.

The singers got us tricked into believing that all we have to do is entertain and everyone will like us, but reality is contrary to that position. To deliver the full council of the Lord, will create enemies. Look at Paul's detractors and when and why they did what they did in Acts 23:12. God made a way of escape for him by taking him captive of the Romans and what did he do? Preach some more!

Now, read the letter of Paul. He calls names and tells what they did at times...Look at Rom. 16:17, where Paul says don't even fellowship with those who hold teachings contrary to that of Christ...and 2 Thess. 3:14 encouraging similar toward them who don't obey the word. See also Titus 3:9-11

Then there's 2 Tim. 4:10 where Demas is pointed out as one who "loved the world", 2 Tim. 4:14 he calls out "Alexander the coppersmith" as one that has done him much evil, 1 Tim. 1:19-20 Paul notes that he has delivered 2 people by name to satan.

1 Cor. 11:13 he rebukes the whole church for what they were doing contrary to the will of God, Gal. 2:7-14 he calls Cephas (this is possibly Apostle Peter) out by name...Then a whole host of other scriptures where Paul alludes to persons who the readers clearly knew by name pointing to specific situations.

In all there is great biblical support for being specific and telling it like it is...District Supt. I am a member of Childress Memorial COGIC church down here in San Antonio, Texas and because of my relentlessness to preach the truth and expose those who are not, I have been tossed aside, called "unloving", ridiculed, and talked about but I'm yet still holding on. I'm encouraged by Paul's words to timothy:

"8Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God's word is not chained. 10Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory."

I'm still new in the ministry and learning everyday, but It hurts my heart to see the amount of biblical illiteracy among those in the church. To me it seems they want to stay in that state of ignorance and lies.....Thank you again for helping me, please keep me in your prayers....Minister Brandonnoreply@blogger.com
