White stated when Miller's false prophecy was exposed in the 1844.

Now, I want to know, if there is any spiritual insight in the statement (which there is none) What do we do with teh scripture that says that HE (Jesus) will never leave nor forsake us. Read this:

Mt. 28: 19-20~"19-Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20-Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

So the question is, when did Jesus ever "leave" in the sense in which White, Camping and the whole sorted list thinks that he had to come back secretly?District Supt. I mean what he was saying was more than just a misinterpretation of a word, or an error about the succession of Paul's missionary journeys. He said that God through the bible revealed what the date of the resurrection was and taught it as FACT. Not just once but TWICE.

Now, Jack Van Impe is jumping on teh bandwagon and most I figure, it's simply a way for them to get some attention, sell some books and evidently raise the inflow of contributions if not but temporarily to promote their type of garbage.

Seems that Miller and those prior did much psychological damage to folk regarding this issue. We know Jesus will come. The command to us is to be ready, not to look for some code or secret message whether it be within teh pages of the bible or some other source.

Once more thing, Camping seemed to have become famous for bashing the church. Calling basically all organized religions apostate and that none of us could be saved associated with any other church or teaching other than his. So we have a bunch of Camping followers, that associated themselves with the Camping lie against the church and now they're out on their behinds...I feel sorry for them, but not so much because they spent and sold all to follow Camping, but because they were so against the church that they aligned themselves with a lie of this magnitude to prove some sort of a point. That's sad to me.District Supt. Actually, I am glad that Jesus did not come back yet or that the world did not end yet, and if it had, it would not have been because of Harold Camping! You're right, he is, simply put, a false prophet. I've listened to Family Radio's music for years, because it is soothing and for the most part, scripturally sound; but I never listened to Harold Camping himself for long, for he was just too far out there with his false teachings. Other than the on-air music, I hardly ever gave him the time of day. I would turn him off whenever he came on the air. Now, I read on the EX Times blog that his web site is down. In the Bible, Paul said the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, and it is common knowledge that thieves never tell you when they are coming to burglarize your property! Jesus said he's coming at an hour when you "think not," meaning it is unpredictable and you most likely won't even be expecting him (and maybe not even be thinking about him at that moment) while you perform your daily tasks. I believe that Jesus will return someday; it's just that "someday" was not Saturday, May 21st, 2011!gnp22noreply@blogger.com
